Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight.

I'm glad somebody else knows that song.

I have it on my ipod, and one of the younger (23-ish) girls that I go to school with was listening to it. That song came on and she yelled "What kind of songs do you listen to?!?!" She never heard it before.:confused3

These songs just reminded me - at the gym this morning I actually heard "Smokin' in the boy's room" playing! I don't think I have heard that in years. I'm pretty sure the last time I heard it was in a countdown of the "worst" songs ever... I usually don't recognize much that they play there - it is probably too recent since I haven't listened to much popular music since I left college (late 80's)

Pamela

P.S. DS8 and I both seem to have survived our total lack of nutrition from last night's dinner :rotfl2:

1) What port are you NOW looking forward to most for our upcoming TOAL?

Any of them..they will all be new to us

2) What shore excursion/ashore diversion are you looking forward to most on our upcoming TOAL?

Tortola Tall ship thingy

3) What has been the nicest/most memorable posting/message/thought that you've found on this new thread?

all the great welcomes

4) Do you have a cabin assignment yet?

No, but will check again this weekend.

5) What did you have fer your most recent meal? Details please.

WW Pizza and salad.

6) What are you looking forward to seing/doing most (off hand) ON the ship?

The Panama Canal

7) Given a choice... and you HAD to make ONE of these two choices... would you take a cabin catagory HALF as expensive and sail twice as long or ... would you trade up o a nicer cabin that costs TWICE as much but sails for HALF as long? You have to choose one... or you have to MAKE up a really ENTERTAINING alternative reply!

Twice as long, definately. Don;t spend enough time in the cabin!

I heard a really good one last night at the gym. They actually played Stay Up Late by The Talking Heads.

Hello everyone!

We wanted to introduce ourselves, myself (Michele), husband (Mark) and daughter (Nicole - 12 at cruise time). This will be our third Disney cruise and we have been booked, through DU, since Day One -- although at the premium price. In the end, just glad that we did get a Gty Cat 6 and will wait to see where we will call home for a lovely 15 days.

Our flights are booked, via Buffalo, hotel night before booked, through Hotwire, one night after NOT BOOKED and just waiting for the go ahead to pack.

My thanks in creating a wonderful and informative thread. It has been a joy to read and I look forward to meeting you on the ship.

Michele

Welcome:banana:

Brownsville Station or Motley Crue?

What's for dinner tonight? Pop rocks and twinkies?

Just do NOT drink Coca Cola with that. You know what happened to Mikey.

I was just about to hit the quote button on M's post when I saw you beat me to it!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Remember when you didn't need the internet for urban legends?

Have your kids heard about the Shining Star urban legend? If they are into Webkinz, you will have to ask them. Apparently, Shining Star sends a dragon to bite off your Webkinz head. My kids told me this and I said to them, "no way, that's an urban legend" they said "Nah-ah, a friend of my friend's cousin's half sister's former neighbor said it happened to them!"

I will have to check into that.....

Thanks!

Glad to see you are working as hard as I am...:rotfl:

well, at least I'm spelling everything correctly in the report I'm writing in my other window.

Where's chat tonight, pirates?

Holy cow! That takes me back to my youth. The Starland Vocal Band, who had a summer replacement tv show on in the summer of 1977! Gosh I'm old!:scared1: That was the first time I ever saw David Letterman, he was on the show. Gotta love the 70's!

Doesn't look like we can get into DIS chat....

I think Brownsville Station (I don't think I've heard a Motley Crew version...)

Sadly, I have no idea yet what is for dinner tonight! :confused3 Part of the problem is that no one has grocery shopped in our house in about 2 weeks! :scared1: I don't think the poor kid had anything fruit/vegetable yesterday - I know they don't offer much with the school lunch, he didn't at breakfast and he certainly didn't at dinner :rotfl2: The only veggies left in the house are 3 artichokes in the fridge - maybe we can have those with dinner tonight ... or maybe we should just go out :thumbsup2

Mmmm... DD has a Shinning Star and registered it and it hasn't done anything to her 5 Webkinz. :confused3 Webkinz is a better website with more to do. She also has a penquin at Disney's Club Penquin and none of her Webkinz have been changed into Mickey!:lmao:

I looked on the Snopes site, and the legend has taken on other forms as well. Some say it is a Neopet that pops out with a knife, or a killer bear roaming around the house, or a penguin with red eyes that ruins your PC. Anyway, it's completely false.

I have not been to the grocery store since Christmas and then it was only for Christmas dinner. We eat out almost every meal anyway.
I don't like to cook and DH isn't so crazy about it either. Fortunately, he does pick up lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and the girls love munching on them. Otherwise they would never have grown over 2 foot.
Our only meal conversation is "Where do you want to eat?".
Now that my super busy time of work is done and I am back to working part-time, I guess I gotta go to the grocery store. :sad2:

A group of moms get together about once a month to go out to eat, and tonight is our "Girl's Night Out". I know I'll be ordering fish, since it is a Friday during Lent.

DH and the kids get good ol' Mac n Cheese.
