That was my favorite song when I was about 5. I can't imagine what my parents were thinking when I walked around the house singing it!
She can't be out of money, she still has checks left.

Yeah I know - that was bad.Next thing I know you all will be making me walk the PLANK!!!!
No,no, no. My idea. My deck chair!
So do we book you at 90 days out or what??
Only if you're CC members.
I'm not looking forward to sitting around waiting to see if the new thread calls us the next day.
Spirit Week at DS's school....tomorrow they have to dress "'80's"....I didn't know there was anything definitive about the '80's style.![]()
Let me tell you, I was never so happy to see February appear on the calendar. If this is what 2008 is going to be like, I'm going back to bed and waking up when it is 2009. Let's see....
a) started a new position at work, one I thought would finally resolve my year in limbo, then the whole company imploded to the point no job is safe, so now I am working 12 hour days trying to fix a mess someone made last year knowing it is likely all for naught.
b) DS14 suffered a bad case of frostbite on his feet because he is an idiot. (Got locked out at a swim meet and walked outside in 0 degree weather with no shoes and no shirt)
c) My long-lost, presumed dead, brother apparently ran up huge debts before disappearing a few years ago, leading to nightly calls from bill collectors trying to find him, including one who claimed I was hiding him in my house that led me to have to call the sheriff's office.
d) Someone in the house had the flu just about every day in January, including DS14 getting violently ill on our way to a travel meet when we were miles from nowhere.
e) Did I mention we've been up to our ears in s*** and my snowthrower broke and since DS14 was hurt I've been having to shovel all by myself?
Anyway, enough whining. February hasn't been too bad...yet. Light at the end of the tunnel and all that.
Oh, hello, Mr. on-coming freight train.
Tom, why don't you board the Magic with your Anakin costume and tell everyone you got on the wrong ship.

So, J.R.s debt calls remind me of a similar situation that we are dealing with. Not a relative, but annoying none-the-less. Obviously, when we moved to VA, we got a new home phone number. Well, it turns out that the phone company didnt let the number go dormant for very long before re-assigning it to us and the previous owner was apparently a deadbeat & international matchmaker!
Lets see, weve gotten constant calls from a 2 credit card companies, GMAC and a mortgage company. The calls eventually stop, but it has caused me to have some interesting conversations. Ill call the number left on voice mail and get lost in phone loop h-e-double-hockey-sticks. Please enter account number uh, dont have one please enter social security number uh, I dont think so when I eventually get to a real live person somewhere in India we go through the whole drill again.
Account number?
I dont have an account with you, thats why Im calling.
Whats your social?
Im not going to give that to you. You have the wrong people! Ill give you the phone number you keep calling.
I cant look the account up by the phone number, I need either your account number or your social.
You wont find either in your system. Ive never had an account with you!
I need your social to verify that we arent looking for you.
AAAaarrrrrrrrggghhhhhh Please stop calling 3 times a day!
Then they usually transfer me, drop the call, and I get to start all over again.
Oh yeah, and our friend from Ghana calls looking for beautiful American woman to marry about once a month at 2 a.m.
You are too funny. Can I sit on deck with you and talk about people we don't know?
Too funny.
I did think about the Hawaiian shorts (yep..we have 'em) and/or the pastel shirt, sleeves rolled up....can't spike his hair, since he keeps a Marine Corps cut like his dad.![]()
Yes I know! Sounds like the kids will be having a blast together!![]()

These songs just reminded me - at the gym this morning I actually heard "Smokin' in the boy's room" playing! I don't think I have heard that in years. I'm pretty sure the last time I heard it was in a countdown of the "worst" songs ever... I usually don't recognize much that they play there - it is probably too recent since I haven't listened to much popular music since I left college (late 80's)
Speaking of which...how are you doing?
