just a quick drop in posting......

Sara, I haven't forgotton - will get back to you later today.

We didn't book anything for 2010. DW wants to do a cruise that does the eastern Med and Turkey, so she's researching that.

We may jump on a 2010 date late in the game but.......we're having DCL withdrawl symptoms.

Oh yeah......I nearly forgot.....I became a naturalized American citizen yesterday, so no more funky passport lines for me

I'm really bummed over the DCL prices.

For those of us not planning anything big (yet) for 2010 can start planning on plans for 2011 or 2012 in Hawaii. Yesterday Disney made a big presentation on their DVC property with more details.

Jon hasn't commited to anything, yet! If we went on that cruise I would get to celebrate my b-day on the cruise.......
Claire (7) just asked me if we could be on the Wonder for her b-day next year.... hers is a July b-day, also. I keep telling her that it is TOO hot for us to be in the Caribbean then! LOL!

Wouldn't that be nice?!

Not everyone gets the referral bonus, however. I'm living in one of the states that does not allow that. (If it did, I would have a couple thousand dollars in referrals.)

Unfortunately, Texas doesn't allow the referral bonus either!

I didn't see that information! Where can I find out which states allow it and which don't. If the buyer is from TX and the person that refers them is from somewhere else can the person that refers them still get the bonus?

The reason Jon became a citizen was for a US Passport -- he had been votiong here since he was 18..... I was with him when he filled out the form....he was honest....and they still sent him a voter's registration card and let him vote. He had a Social Sercurity card, also.

Good afternoon friends.
Things are crazier than usual here. I started my new job last Monday, so this week has been a bit like drinking from a fire hose. I still haven't met all of the people who work for me (they are spread out over 4 offices) & I was on a CEO call (went to see the CEO of a potential new major account) before I even made it to my office the second day and giving a speech before I made it to my office on the fourth day. So far I really, really like my new job, but I was also happy to see Friday roll around!

Gosh I wish I'd have know on TOAL - I could have arranged for all of us to shout random bit of US trivia at you for 15 days!

I'm booked for NYE, but I don't think we will keep it. I can't say DCL made a mistake, because if they sell out 2010, they made the right business decision, but gosh is it getting harder for many of us normal folks to afford a cruise. And neither of us is "Joe six-pack" or a plumber.

Funny you mention RCCL - for some reason I was just looking at them. Now that the guys are getting older, it may be tme to try something else...especially if they can roam the ship with friends...hint hint...when are you thinking about going? We are thinking either NYE 2010-2011 or maybe spring break 2011. Might be fun!!

fyi, couple..of facts..i jus sit down..when she took that pic..before i
could get my hat off....& to pray. and...the only thing..they took
@ the airport..was my hair tonic...normaly, wouldn't matter,
but for some strange..reason..my hair,,never "behaved "..sea air?

Jon gets home tomorrow night -- it's tough to have a real conversation with him about a trip when he is tired from International travel/work. I want him to say *yes* LOL!

Evening all. Hope everyone is doing well. We had an interesting day. DD's choir ensemble sang at a wedding. So we were there from 12-3:30. The ensemble did a great job and they sounded so angelic! The groom use to be in the choir when he was in school and now owns a sandwich shop. It was all very nice, but not many were at the church.

Diane they had a white Hummer limo!

Kaitlin's favorite song was Sanctus! She has trouble reading, but she can sign in Latin! The bride a groom took a picture with the choir, which we all thought was nice and the priest came over after the ceremony and told the kids that they did a wonderful job.

Thankfully I was able to not cough while we were in the church as my sinsuses have been draining big time!


Congrats Andy on becoming a citizen. You did it even after meeting this crew!

I don't think I ever said congrats on the job... CONGRATS !! Sounds like you won't be bored.

I was looking at RCCL for a med cruise. I don't have any '09, '10 or '11 plans yet. I was thinking of you the other day when I got some mail from USAA. They sell member discounted cruises & thought I really need to research the prices & destinations; 'cause I know other USAA members that I want to cruise with.

I could cruise NYE or spring break 2011. I would rather minimize the number of days that the kids miss school. That was the second big deterrent for the DCL NYE cruise. The kids would miss 5 days.
