8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #15 /Life After the PC

Thanks everyone for such nice comments about Sydney :)

Any Pirates looking at the Northern Capitals Cruise??

Really need to crunch the numbers to see if it's possible, with the airfares/:confused3

I would LOVE to do that cruise!! I quickly looked up airfare - around $1000pp... But I don't know which airport Disney will be offering transportation from... Besides, I'm not supposed to look at that too hard. We never plan that far in advance - we booked in May for the EB Repo! Plus we just can't bring ourselves to book it in the current economic situation.

Wow I just listened to the DisUnpluggged about the cruise that they did just out of drydock. Sounds awful! It was apparently a 'working cruise' like ours was... We saw them staining on deck a couple of times and our shower was awful with mold! Figured they were waiting for drydock for things like our shower and other things that we saw.

 ..i guess it's time to say goodbye. sadly..we will not
be doing the ta cruises. instead....we have elected...to do the
the july 30th, 2010~ dover to barcelona.

[ i don't think there's even a cruise meet site. ]

it's only a 8 nighter...but we have friends..in england & are

working on adding..a few days in paris. wow..the last time

..i was in paris..there's were no disneyland.

we're still processing pictures...and feeling the magic. you kno?
..i was superstitous..over calling the cruise..a trip of a lifetime.
in~deeds ..it truly was..:flower3:

i did alot..of wandering..in wonderments. :rainbow: . i even
developed some late night..rituals....& one of my favorites..was sitting all
comforie [ french..well , iam].....on deck 4, eating pizza after
midnight...& "toasting"..all those dedicated runnners.

one of the biggest surprise..was having a young family....besides
us..that were new cruisers....[ they had..a ll' princess: ...who was
all "tom~boy"...but with charm squeezing out from her toes. ]

all our disney..excursions...went beyond..our expectations..& met
some.....really :cool2: fellow cruisers.[ so sorry to the cruisers
"stuck"..with us....on the jeep adventure..& for letting our middle
son...doing the driving. { do you remember the ways he was , when
i told..of his escapades? }...all the other jeeps....were clean as a

.....:rolleyes1 , ours..was dripping with mud. oh, aruba....was not my
best..i forgot..my medicine..., & somehow..we lost..a "whole group"
....just about turn..me into..a real beast. but the snorking was
amazing. while..getting..to the ziplines....was an adventure...
in itself. "twirling"...came close..@ losing...all my cookies. while
the most ...fan-tassle-cal interaction...was @ pv, & my son 's
chuck norris' tee...*when word..got out..every tour guide in
the area..had to come & read....every line. [ he must be a legend
..in pv? ]. funny, i did see a person...who could been his twin.

intruders alert.., " iam no saint"..but those meeting my
cute lil'sweetie pie....now kno why..iam the luckiest guy on earth?!
see?..i told you soooo!

special thanks..to cpt' jack and his most excellent crew..for gracing
our dinning experience. if my opinin matter, you was the best!

finally, a very special thank you..for all those that extra~tended their
warm welcomes..& hands in friendship...[ as you may recalled, my lil'
doll baby....has always been in charge...of our cruising plans. it
would've been pure mutiny...if i had interfered....] so while we
wasn't an offical cast member, i can't expressed how much "we"
enjoyed + benefited..from all the great company. :cheer2:

..i just wish...we 'll get to meet up on another grand adventure..
sometimes..in the future......until then, i hope all, experience smooth
sailings, :wizard:

ps, wonder..if my "old"...phone numbers.from paris..are still in
working order? ...( i guess....the "take what you can"....xttitude....

..was a lil' con~tag~ious? pirate: )

We're looking at it. Linda and I love the itinerary, and would love to be able to do it on the Magic. We're going to transfer our onboard rebooking to 7-18-10 and see how the numbers come out. We'll also compare RCCL for a similar itinerary when they release the rates for 2010. And like you said, the airfare will also play a big part in our final decision. Hopefully, we'll be able to swing it...if not, we'll be moving the ressie forward again.

That would be awesome. I hope to book it this Tuesday and if you can switch it - that would be even greater. Lots of EXTREMELY FRIENDLY people on that cruise - a few of us on this here thread sailed that particular cruise and come Tuesday, you may even recognize more than a few. Seriously, I hope we get on there - it will be a blast. Is it the whole family or just the two of you?

Once a Pirate Always a Pirate. pirate: I think we were with you in the Jeep tour with Robert on Aruba, (Who was that squeeling tires?? :lmao: ) going back through the pics now.

Reading your post brought back some great memories onboard, I'm sure all of our wakes will cross again, until then;
Les Mers Lisses, les Vents de Prix et les Jours Ensoleillés
(Smooth Seas, Fare Winds, n' Sunny Days).

Caro, the Girls, & I are planning on booking this also. We have already e-mail Winotracy with our preferences.

Seriously thinking about this one. My birthday is 7/20 and it will be the
big 5-0. thought it would be a cool way to celebrate it!

It would be all of us. We couldn't do a trip like that without the kids. They'd never speak to us again. (Although, that may be an idea...;) )

We said a lot can happen in a year, so we might as well at least try for it.

Pamela,

I bookmarked your link for shopping on Amazon on my old laptop. Can you post it again for me? I was looking at some of their clearance items for Christmas, and if I can help raise some funds for Darrah's school at the same time, even better. Thanks.

Saw this on the Community Board and got a chuckle

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you would have $49 today.
If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you would have $33 today.
If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you would have $0.00 today.
But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund, you would have received $214!
Based on the above, the best current investment play is to drink heavily and recycle. It is called the 401-Keg.

A recent study found that the average American male walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. This means that, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon. Kind of makes you proud to be an American!

hi everyone! i haven't posted in awhile..but i have been lurking! hope everyone is doing well!

i could view some of the videos...but others weren't working for me. am i doing something wrong? or are others having problems viewing them too?

on another note...we just booked a cruise on the wonder for january 18, 2009!!! it is going to seem soooo very short compared to the TOAL...but i've been having some major dcl withdrawals since coming home. we're hoping this helps get us thru the dreary NY winter!!

have a great day everyone!

wow! i can't believe how this thread has dwindled! it was on the bottom of teh second page...and at one time it was always the top post of the first page! guess it's easy to stay ketchupped now...
hope you are all having a great weekend!

You'll be getting off and I'll be getting on January 22-25 with one of my deacons and his wife.

We, too, want a little pick-me-up from the Chicago winters.
