8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #15 /Life After the PC

It's Monday. A whole new chance at a new week. Hope it's less crappified.

Wow was it difficult to get out of bed and come to work this morning.

It is amazing the sheer amount of work I have to do between now and when they've decided they don't need me anymore. :confused3

Oh well. I have an interview today and one on Thursday. Still waiting to hear about the one last week. I think I'd love that job.

Regardless, this week will end on a happy note: I'll be slowly circling the World Showcase eating and drinking in just 96 short hours.

Hey M:yay:

Hope the job hunt is short:flower3:

I'm super jealous of your Epcot trip:rolleyes:

Hi M,

Good luck with the interviews! Maybe you'll end up with something you like more and with an easier commute :thumbsup2 :upsidedow

By the way - what happened to the "I don't DO kareoke" stance?!?!?!

Pamela

Gosh I miss everyone:sad2:

Those slide shows are awesome:worship: :worship:

We've sorted through pics from one camera and still have our second camera to go:rolleyes1

DH and I do have the excuse that it is the end of the fiscal year for us and we are pretty busy with work and the kid's school:rolleyes:

We'll get back into trip planning mode when the announcement is made Oct 7th:woohoo:

Gonna try to pick the Baltic cruise with the most repo pirates on it that fits into our schedule.

Ok, seeing as DCL didn't play the darn tune (not even once) during the TOAL, and nobody's put up a slideshow verison on smugmug........yet pirate:

Here it is.......DIS Pirates in the Panama Canal, Van Halen Edition, including a timelapse of the transit.

Crank up the speakers and clickey clickey:

PS Shame the song is about a car.

I have been looking forward to seeing this since talking to you in front of the ship through the second lock BUT I can't see anything but the opening picture. :) I was able to watch the JR video but can't open this one or the one Roger posted in the last couple days. PLEASE HELP!!! TIA!

Hmm....after you click on it, do you see a download progress bar (gradually filling up with green), and the play/pause buttons?

You may just need to wait a few mins to let it download enough to start playing.

Nope...no bar...just a black box.

Thanks Pamela.

My karaoke response is on the dummy thread:

There were a lot of us up there...I was lip synching.

Sorrry about the job situation but that is great you have interviews already lined up. I'm sure you will find something that is even better. :thumbsup2

Excellent piece of work! Makes the 60 degrees and damp cold just disappear from my mind.:woohoo:

Something else that brought tears to your eyes!

PUERTO VALLARTA TEQUILA

It sure did bring tears to my eyes, but it was so much fun! That guy was hilarious! Thanks for posting the pic! :goodvibes

Haven't been around much . . . too much going on in our community because of the flood.

There are over 5,000 people still displaced from their homes. Many are beginning to receive the word that their homes have been condemned and they will not be able to get into them.

We are still waiting on word that the president has accepted the request to be declared a federal disaster area. Some rumors say that an announcement can take place as early as tomorrow. We are all keeping our fingers crossed.

There will be people displaced for months before lives can get back to normal.

So sorry to hear!
It amazes me all the junk going on in the news everyday, and something like this is going on and we hear nothing about it. I vaguely remember hearing about the initial flooding during a brief blip about it during the news, but would have no idea how devastated an area it is, if not for your updates.
Good thoughts & prayers to all affected and I hope the announcement takes place soon and these poor people can begin to rebuild.

Hi Gang,

Thanks to everyone for the pics/ slide shows and all. It was soooooo much fun. I miss you guys alot.

Fr. Mike - so sorry about the situation for so many in your area. Definalely in my prayers

I'm feeling alot better - but can't seem to shake the cough.

If the rumors are true re the dates - I doubt we'll be able to sail on the WB repo.
Maybe bump the "dummy" cruise to 2011 for the new ship.

Good luck M on the job search - K & Moniica also!!

Well.....thruth be known, I did have to cut about 10 seconds out of the full length tune. There were at least 3 'Not family safe' words in the full version.

The camera is Canon SD870 IS (point & shoot). It was set to record one frame per second, the mount is a Bogen/Manfrotto

BG3289.jpg

I mounted it halfway down the verandah glass - it stuck out maybe 12". I didn't use the stabilizer leg (shown in the pic above)

Steph or Chris may have a pic of the mount on canal day.

Andy

I was lucky enough to have a person make a copy of your movie while I was still on the ship. :thumbsup2 I do like the music. At least it did not make me cry.:yay:

John is taking a disc to work to see if it will download on smug mug.:thumbsup2 He does have people that might be able to help, if not we will send the discs to someone to up-load to smug mug.:worship:

I can't wait to watch Billy hitting on Tina and Richard being used as the human puppet again. That was so funny. John - could you do that one first - pretty please.....

He is really trying to get it on there. We still did not even view 7 hours of videos yet. Busy time of year with 5 birthdays in three weeks of each other. :flower3:
John had his whole office is stitches watching the Richard Dummy(sorry Richard)video.:rotfl2:

whoa, whoa, slow down on the posting Linda...:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I miss your wit Lisa!!!

Sorry, didn't mean to make you cry. I have some ideas for some other slideshows that will be a little more fun too.

Crying is fine as long it is crying from being so happy!!

PS I got 100% on my inservice presentation last week!

See............I knew you could do it!! The 100% exceeds my expectations.:lmao: :lmao:

You had some great shots! I'm glad that you have a nice shot of Father Mike. We really enjoyed hanging out and talking with him, especially on the verandahs on Canal Day. The only picture I had of him was him leaning forward around the verandah divider.

I am so glad we got him to go
on the Diser bus with all of us.:yay: There was an ulterior
motive..........a safe excursion up the mountain.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I am sure John might have a longer version of your duet but we have to figure out how to load up pictures yet.
