I was going to ask if anyone was up for chat tonight, but looks like we've already lost the original Pirate Zone.

I am bummed too. I am in serious withdrawl and denial that the trip is over. Actually woke up the last 2 nights not sure where I was. :(

Anyone on AOL, MSN or Yahoo?

Question for those that turned in your passports. Did they get stamped from all the ports? I never bothered to turn ours in, but now DS is mad that I didn't try.

We handed ours in on the first night. We got a call two sea days before Castaway Cay telling us we had gotten no stamps as the agents did not want to deal with stamps and that the agent working at Castaway Cay does not stamp. So we should pick up our passports at our convenience. We went once it was too late and they were locked in the safe. We got them back the second time we tried at Guest services.

They told us ahead of time that they might not get stamped. We tried but got no stamps. I do not like my naked passport. My other one would have expired in November, but I renewed it before this trip. As it expired less then three months before our trip was over.

So you can tell your DS that he would not have gotten stamps anyways.

Ditto for us:sad2:
We turned ours in too, but no stamps. Guest Services told DH that there were too many passports for customs to stamp:confused3

I wish we could have spent more time with you and John but the kids had their own ideas about our free time. If you come out to LA next year we will definitely get together.

Hey Roger.........I totally understand you need to be with your girls. I always was with my children although I wish I would have done the Big Red Disney Boat when they were young.:sad2:

You will have no choice but to see me if we go to LA. :lmao: :lmao: Next year was going to be DLP but the economy being the way it is.............it is not going to happen.:headache:

Ouch is right! There's got to be a better way! ;)

BTW just want to thank you again Arlene for making Cheryl & I "official" Raywatch girls! The t-shirt was so thoughtful! I loved it!

Also want to thank whomever put my quote about hassle free booking...zero dollars, etc. on a magnet! I was seriously touched by that!

Thanks again to all for making this truly a Trip of a Lifetime!!! :grouphug:

He Diane..........the funny part is the Raywatch Girls worked.............no one got hurt by any flying rays.:lmao: :lmao:

Question for those that turned in your passports. Did they get stamped from all the ports? I never bothered to turn ours in, but now DS is mad that I didn't try.

I turned my into the guest service the very first day but was asked before CC to pick them up and I did not even get one stamp.:sad2: :sad2: The passports are still all brand new.:confused3

Jen and Mike,

Are you doing well? I hope so and miss everyone and the ship. I didn't get to say good by to you. Please keep in touch. The kids miss saying goodbye to you both. Last day (morning) was a crazy day. :lmao:

Your friends,
Dawn, Russ, Ryan, Skyler

If we had put ourselves in Mickey Jail, we would have had a MUCH better time! :rotfl2:

We didn't throw up, but we had "issues" for quite a few days, even past our 48 hour isolation time. We got classified as "norovirus" too, but there's no way it was norovirus. This was Montezuma's Revenge at its greatest! Shouldn't have eaten in PV!

At least we'll get some of our $$ back for those 2 days through our trip insurance. I've got DH following up on that. We only have 72 hours to take care of it though. I think that's tomorrow! Hopefully we get some $$ back. We'll see. Let me know if you have any luck.

Cheryl - are we going to try and get together sometime once you and John recover from the crud?

Gee Roger, and to think I was considering nominating you for Department of the Interior Undersecretary for Vocal Avians or even Department of Defense Director of Pirate Boats err Ships.

At least it was that kind of swinging!

One of the funniest things that happened on the cruise was one night in Lumiere's the photogs came around to take pictures at the table. We always played musical chairs, so I as sitting next to Esteri's DH and Estri was next to mine - so we took photos that way, laughing the whole time about the Disney specialty swingers cruise. Well, Mike & Sara (sarangel) were at the table next to us - so we told them what was so funny. Without missing a beat, Mike pulled his room key out and tossed it on our table. I had tears running down my face by the end of it all.

You laugh. But, some of you have heard me tell the story of *swingers* on the 10nt........ Our oldest children told them repeatedly *We are brother & sister.*

I was going to ask if anyone was up for chat tonight, but looks like we've already lost the original Pirate Zone.
oh no..... so soon?
*pout pout pout*

That was such a FUN game!!!!! :thumbsup2 When we got the last card and note I was so excited that I *knew* immediately who the *sign* was!!! I told dh *That's Joel!*
We had a horrible hand BUT, I had to turn ours in so that you would know how much fun we had!!!
Thank you!!!!

You are my kind of woman!!! :thumbsup2 We had a quick meal of burritos tonight!
When we got home last night dh ordered Pizza.

You have probably been told by now... But, that is Lexi -- she was Claire's *back up dancer* for the talent show! :rotfl2:
Saraangels dd.
Yep, we've been eating junk food and eating out since we got back. I'm really not in the mood to cook! I'm trying to stay in denial by not finishing the unpacking too. LOL But atleast I have washed all our dirty clothes and put the up- and did other things (like finally getting the pool from dirty green to "almost" clear blue/etc.) -I'm just avoiding some of the luggage that still needs to be unpacked and avoiding cooking for some reason. LOL

Yep, already been answered who the child is and who she belongs to. I knew she was Claire's dancer- that's where I recognized her from and had no idea she was a DIS'ers daughter- but I should have figured she probably was- considering how many DIS'ers were on the cruise. LOL

Well, it's official...
as of 12:01AM we are on strike
I'm really sad and scared.
Oh no.. I'm so sorry :(

All I can say is.......Welcome to high school band!! LOL
My son was a drummer all 4 years of high school and loved every minute of it! He had an amazing time in marching band, drum line, concert & jazz band. The kids figure it all out as time goes on. No matter what sport/club/activity they do...there are times when they have to leave early for games/performances and learn to balance their academics with these activities. My best advice in order to keep informed on what is going on, is to get involved in the booster club, or at least attend meetings. They really rely on the kids to pass on information on rehearsals, performances, fundraising and such.......but we all know how many kids are with this kind of info (or at least my sons were!)
Good luck!

This is so funny to read today, as DH and I were just discussing it at lunch today! (We had much anticipated mexican food at our favorite little restaurant.......since DCL & WDW are seriously lacking in the mexican food dept!)
re band: I was in this same highschool band many moons ago. I just don't remember it taking up every stinkin' minute of my life back then. Sure lots of practices but this is just beyond ridiculous. I am a member of the booster club- have been for years even though this is her first year in the highschool band (she was part of the volunteer pit crew for the past 2yrs though). I hope she enjoys the highschool band as much as I did, I hope all this nonstop practicing/etc. doesn't overwhelm her combined with having all advanced classes, soccer and missing the first week of school!
They got back last night at MIDNIGHT, had to be there at 6:45am for practice- and then the section leader just up and decided to have another afterschool sectionals till almost 5pm. I don't really care about that because it's friday night anyway. LOL Really all of it I already knew about and realized she'd be pretty busy with band- the only thing that got changed and that I do NOT agree with is an out of town game that has them gone from 3:30 when school gets out till midnight on a SCHOOL NIGHT (Friday night would be fine ofcourse). I don't think that's cool at all..... even if she hadn't missed the first week of school and didn't have a ton of homework to catch up on that's just way too late (IMO) to be out on a school night and being it was from the minute they got out of school she had no time for anything else (eating- just had snacks during 3rd quarter, homework, and missing hours of sleep since her bedtime is way before that on school nights)

I sure hope something like this doesn't happen again but I don't know- it might. The whole reason this happened is the town they were playing has several highschools and have to share a stadium, so the schedule got changed and they got this game on Thurs night. I hope that doesn't mean they may play OTHER highschools in this town and may have more games on Thursday nights and out till midnight. *fingers crossed* All the rest- before school practices, after school practices, games on Friday nights, competitions on Saturday were all expected....
(*although I am a bit annoyed that the section leader can just up and decide, that day, that they'll be having sectional practice after school that day and I only get to find out once Ruby is allowed to turn on her phone after school is over... which ofcourse means I find out RIGHT THEN that she doesn't need to be picked up until an hour and a half later. I can't really plan any of our lives and activities around spur of the moment practices like that. I'd rather they just did sectionals on a schedule or even EVERY day after school than this spur of the moment sectionals. sigh)

Question for those that turned in your passports. Did they get stamped from all the ports? I never bothered to turn ours in, but now DS is mad that I didn't try.
No stamps.. and I heard others complaining the last day that they didn't get any stamps either. :confused3
I wish they HAD to give you a stamp. I mean like if you go there and you use your passport- that they'd HAVE to give you a stamp. It would have been nice to collect that on our passports as a list of places we've been. We can't write the places we've been on the extra pages in our passport- can we? LOL

Hey, at least it didn't start in the airport baggage claim for you!!

Oh, no!!!

Nice shot, Andy. Mike & Linda you look great!!! Congratulations.

Just an update on us... Nobody's sick, but Lexi is peeling something awful. She made it through 14 of the 15 days without so much as a burn, but somehow Castaway Cay did her in. By Sunday night she was coming out in blisters. She popped 3 blisters and today she looks awful because she has scabs from the blisters plus the first peel she's ever had...

Did I mention that school pictures are next week? We found that out yesterday when we dropped her off for her first day of kindegarden. She was so excited that she didn't even mind coming back from vacation..

I'm also pleased to report that (so far, at least) none of us have come down with anything - except that we miss you all.

Poor Lexi!!
I got some freakish looking sunburn at CC...... I was either under an umbrella or had a towel wrapped around me the entire day!! UGH!!! And I wear a hugh hat whenever I am outside! UGH!!!

What department do I get in exchange for the video of you and Deanna "dirty dancing"? :)

:rotfl: :rotfl: I have a couple of *still* photos of that! :rotfl2:

I also have one of a certain lawyer removing his clothing.......

Hi Dawn, Russ, Ryan, and Skyler! We missed saying goodbye to you as well. Guess this means we have a trip to CO or you have a trip to CA in your future! :) We are feeling a bit better, but still have the lingering crud that everyone seems to have come down with. My cough has gotten worse the last day or so, but at least our other "issues" are over! If I'm not feeling better Monday, I'm going to the Dr. Thanks for being such great across the hall neighbors! Your family is great and we enjoyed getting to know you. I've got your postcard in one of our suitcases still, but I'll send you an email when I find it. Say hi to the kids for me.
Jen (& Mike!)

Wow 500 posts since I left! Maybe I'll ketchup later! I now can understand why everyone loves cruising so much, but I don't get people that say cruising is restful! It was anything but! Those people must not have toddlers.... God bless that little blue and yellow fish (Flounder's!!) They were wonderful! :thumbsup2

We just got home from our 2.5 day marathon at WDW. We managed to do all the major things we wanted (including the new Toy Story Mania twice). God bless grandmas at WDW... My inlaws met us there and grandma was sooooo excited to spend time with DD even when she was sleeping so we got to go on rides :)

Must unpack and do laundry and sleeeeeep zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

I saw y'all all over WDW! LOL! I was wondering where your little one was! LOL!

We handed ours in on the first night. We got a call two sea days before Castaway Cay telling us we had gotten no stamps as the agents did not want to deal with stamps and that the agent working at Castaway Cay does not stamp. So you can tell your DS that he would not have gotten stamps anyways.

When I went the afternoon we were in Cabo the person responsible for that told me that the Mexican officials were refusing to stamp any of the 60 passports that she had that morning and she was trying to get the officials in Colombia to stamp them. What's the point of having to get them? It was frustrating and really disappointed the kids since we had told them it would be a record of where we have been. I loved the card someone put in the FE with the postage stamps from the countries. Maybe I will find some of those to stick in there so they won't be naked anymore.

Go for 2010! We booked the 2009 dummy date cruise waiting for the 2010 dates to be issued. Our boys would love to cruise with your son again! They had a great time together.

DS really enjoyed spending time with Deryk in the lab and plans to start emailing him once he gets on his feet in school and cleans his room so he can get on the computer. ;)

I was wishing I had met more of you guys but after reading about all the illness am kind of glad that we avoided that. Usually one of the kids ends up sick after the cruise...not this time. :)

Hello All,

It's Friday evening and I still have stuff in the suitcases. :lmao: :lmao:

But we are all doing well, and miss everyone and the ship. Thank you so much for everything and the FE, it was amazing. Also, thank you to Cruisen Mike for the the photo frame. We just loved it. We really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to do it again.
Russ would like to go in 2010 but haven't booked anything yet. He wants disney to possible go thru Alaska but whatever that route will be when Disney post it we will check it out.

I hope everyone is feeling better and hope all is well. Hard to get back to the normal stuff. Miss the "Desserts" Chocolate stuff really bad and having withdrawls. :confused3 :lmao:

Please all of you keep in touch and it was a pleasure meeting you in passing and just going up to say hi when you all wore the shirts or name tags.
Hopefully I will get to the suitcases soon. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

We miss you and please keep in touch and take care,

your friends, Rm 7005

we are hoping for Alaska too (or Hawaii) in 2010, and rebooked onboard.
I ran into a friend in WDW on Wednesday who said she had come across info that Disney has leased dock space in Alaska for a 10 year period...starting in2010. Time will tell.....

I was talking to folks in line as we waited to leave the ship that said they did NOT get all the stamps - actually only 1 or 2 ports.

How is Trevoy doing? Did he start school and did they find his records?
