Silly You! I forgot to check chat tonight! I got busy looking at finances to make sure everything is going to be paid before we get home!

OK, I have to know... how did you come up with the figure of 119 diapers?

Was wondering how long it would take for someone to ask! Just figured 16 days *7 (normally use around 6/day)... Will actually have more than that, I think when it's all said and done...

The only people we have plans with are our dd & her dh. I really don't know about anyone else....... We do have ressies at --
9/1 Mama Melrose (we'll be doing MGM that day..)
9/2 Teppan Edo (Epcot Day)
9/3 Kona Cafe (MK day)
And I don't know when we'll fit in AK.

LOVE Kona! Are you doing Breakfast? We have ressies for our next trip (not Sept) for breakfast so we can get the Tonga Toast We're also doing Teppan Edo on our next trip... In fact, our next trip is something like 17 days so we've got most things covered!

We may do AK one morning (need to check hours again) and the Studios or something in the evening, maybe...

All Pirates Sailing on the Jolly Roger/Jolly Pirate in Aruba



I have been in correspondence with my new buddy Carla at the Jolly Pirate in Aruba today and she has offered to send buses to pick us up at the ship for free!! We will have to find our own way back but I thought this was a very gracious offer from her. She has made a request that we do not meet up and come out as a group since there is no way that they can load the buses or boats if we all show up in mass. She has requested that we all meander to the cruise terminal and meet her awaiting personnel who will take our web confirmations and give us boarding cards for the buses. I believe that the cruise terminal probably has some shops to look around. Carla prefers it this way so that everyone is not waiting around. They can not handle all of us at once. As a bus fills it will leave for the boat. I still need to get back with her for what time we need to meet her. I will have further updates before we leave or on the ship. I will re-post this on the Pirate Zone and again after the run which looks to be under way.​

We sent 2 boxes ahead to HoJos. Hope we don't have to carry them around with us till we get our stateroom.

Make sure that the boxes are small enough to be able to fit through the xray machines and then also make sure you have a sharpie marker with you and put your name and stateroom all over the box. Also put what is in the box (for example - we put candy for gifts) on the outside so if the customs dogs hit on the box... they won't have to open it - we did that and it was fine. BUT it MUST fit through the exray machine to check it or we had to carry it (hand searched).

That just seems crazy to me. I am not planning on doing laundry but bringing all the soap etc to do it if need be.

Oh... we didn't plan either... but do it we did... it's amazing what you go through on a 15 nighter... and remember...you will, sorry...sweat much more than you expect...PC day especially... we were drenched by 8 am... a good drenching...but still....

There was NO WAY that I could possible catch up today - you all were so chatty!

Happy Birthday and Anniversary to anyone I missed.

Safe travels to all who are traveling today and tomorrow.

Packing...99% done - 3 large rolling duffles, 1 garment bag, 1 medium suitcase with shoes, small carry-on for me, large carry-on for DH and backpack for DS. I may change the small carry-on to a large one for extra room. Everything is about 10lbs underweight.

2 more days of work and then I'm on vacation! DH started his today and is doing some last minute home repairs and hopefully some yard work.

Now it's on to watching the weather forecast very carefully - the flight that we are due to take on Thursday was cancelled for today. The latest forecast for Thursday is now showers, which is better than the thunderstorms we've had the last several days. One of the nice things has been the weather - rather cool for this time of year, feels more like mid to late September than August.

I'm going in tomorrow for "nasal thing" that seems to be starting. Headache,minor sore throat,itchy sinus and sore ear,all on the right side. Most likely it's nothing,just want to catch it before it is!

I got a call from the company I interviewed with. They are in the final selection process and asked that I provide them 3 references. I've sent those off so we'll see what happens.

I'm going from Port Canaveral to Orlando Airport and flying home to NY. I go to work the next day!!! I want to go on the cruise but there's a part of me that doesn't want to go....

Wow no posts in a few minutes and a pirate looming!

We are ready to start TOAL. Four bags each between 45 - 48 pounds. Three carry ons. Not too bad for 4 of us leaving for a 20 day vacation. Trip starts 5 am tomorrow as we leave for the airport in Westchester NY. Can't wait to see what we may have forgotten to pack!!!

Tomorrow this time we should be resting in Southern CA!

Poor guy! Is he in pain?

Yes. LOTS! And heat makes it worse...it was 106 yesterday......

He thought the pain was from something else so, he was using a heating pad for 2 wks before he went to the Dr.
Our oldest 2 children get shingles, also. So, does his mom & brother. This was the first time that dh got them... I told him there must be something hereditary about the *chicken px* virus since they all get cold sores, too. Luckily there are so many good medications out there to get rid of the stuff quickly.

Although the dr wouldn't even tell him what was good to take for the pain. He kept ignoring dh whenever he asked. It was his regular dr so, he should be able to tell by his records that he isn't some type of pain medicine junkie.
