Our original plans had me and Chris's family in Palo together. I got the private room so when DCL took me off the original ressie, it disappeared on Chris's plans too. She called and they still had it in their system. So it seems with the multi linking and the private rooms, the Palo plans are not displaying properly.

So I called. The happy CM who answered told me that I had to try to book Palo again. :scared1: Wrong answer. I spoke with a manager, he dug into it and called me back. He has no idea why it isn't showing up online, but Esteri still has both Palo reservations for 4 people (with all our names). The odd thing is that all our names used to show up on her reservation and my reservation. Now hers only shower the two of them on her "my cruise plans" and mine don't show at all.

I'm sure it is some artifact of the mega-linking, but OY!

Mass During the Cruise

I just received an email from DCL. They state that they do not want to appear to sponsor any specific religion, so Mass has been cancelled.

Now that I have your attention! :lmao:

Just received a "tentative" itinerary from DCL. They have been gracious enough to schedule Mass daily for any interested passengers!

How nice of them to be so generous with your time. :)

Mass is tentatively scheduled each day at 8:30 a.m. in the Buena Vista Theatre, Deck 5 Midship. The only change to their schedule is for the day we are at Cabo San Lucas on August 19th. Mass is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. that day.

I'll keep you posted if I hear anything more.

Oh, and by the way, for our "old time" Catholics out there who tend to get bent out of shape trying to "follow the rules", let me try to help you out: We are on vacation during this cruise. If your morning schedule/shore excursions mean that you go to breakfast and then come to Mass, I will dispense you from your Eucharistic fast. Don't let that be a worry for you!

Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Cool, Mass with snacks!
Think they'll open up the popcorn and candy cart for us??

(Hey, I'm goin ta hell anyway.)

I know that- I'm not worried about figuring out how to go back to wireless because I figure lots of you DIS'ers can help me or someone with DCL (since I'll be paying the big bucks to use it on the ship LOL).

But it's already able to do wireless (at home, when we went camping one time, etc.) and I don't know how to get it to work with the cable! And if it doesn't work with the cable at HOJO- I'll be completely cut off from everyone- including DH (except for phone with him ofcourse). I don't know where people are staying at HOJO to look up someone that could help me with it -if it doesn't work. So that is why I was trying to hook up at home directly with ethernet cable and it wasn't working..... something is wrong and I'm worried I won't be able to get online at HOJO!

In case it wasn't answered in next 30 pages I'm catching up with

Don't worry about it. The ethernet at most hotels is largely "idiot proof." You plug it in, open a browser and it sends you to a log in type page with instructions.

You don't need to turn wireless on and off, it will search and find signal and depending on settings, ask you if you want to connect.

The ethernet and wireless operate largely separate from each other

Mythbusters also did a test of motion sickness... Ginger worked best for them too.

Ginger pills upset my tummy though... Oooooh reminds me i need to go get some ginger snaps though... They go down ok. (or at least used to)

Hey all,

This thread moves too fast for me, but I just had to check in briefly because my excitement is starting to reach fever pitch. In less than a week we'll all be in CA setting off on an adventure over a year in the making! It feels a bit strange because I'm so used to the schedules on the "regular" itineraries and this is all totally foreign territory. But hey, it will be an adventure!

We'd love to meet up with anyone and everyone...we're easy to find, as we'll be in the usual Barb and Tony Suite, aka stateroom 5650.

Tony is stressing a bit because our flight stops in St. Louis before continuing to CA (same plane tho'). I'm trying to reassure him that if we made it through our jaunt to Europe last year, which required three flights on two separate airlines, the CA trip will be a piece of cake. Even if it's not, I plan to be so hopped up on Xanax that I won't care. ;)

Have a safe flight - we will see you next week

Hey M, how many more Mondays 'til TOAL ?
(although a better question might be how many more loads of laundry 'til TOAL?)

Um.

None?

:confused3

You must be from Philly to ask that obvious a question! :lmao: :lmao:

question?
How do you determine the size of the luggage? AA says length+width+height. Length and height seem to be the same to me :confused3 The case measures 30" high,20 wide and 10 deep. Does this measure 60?

yes

Happy Anniversary June and Christopher!!

Has anyone else's Palo reservation disappeared???
Esteri and I were linked before the big linking that happened last week. She made the Palo dinner and brunch reservations for all 4 of us since I couldn't even load the first DCL page on "hassle free" night. Now she doesn't see us listed on her Palo reservation & it isn't in my "My Cruise Plans" anymore. :confused3 Someone may have to smuggle out a seafood risotto and a choclate souffle for me.

Call and complain or just show up with them and demand to be seated.

Fr. Mike, just a thought, could this become a new floating parish for you?

If she hasn't thought of it, send her to the thrift stores....all I did for DS one time was a pair of slacks that I cut off below the knee, a big white shirt with big cuffs, and then a long striped scarf wrapped around his waist. Found a pirate set at the dollar store, eye patch, earing and plastic dagger.

Chris, if worse come to worse, there is always a Halloween Store right by my house that is open year round. If your staying near DL, I can always pick your wife up and the kids and they can try it out provided it isn't Saturday! Keep in mind, they can get expensive so best bet would be to find some plack pants, a black vest and work with that.

Tell June - Good Luck!

Thanks...June called and found costumes for the boys. They finally talked me into joining in as well...Even last night I wasn't going to dress up, but after the kids insistence on joinin in, I came along kicking and screaming! So there are now 4 more pirates for the 29th.

I do not want to wait any longer!!!!

I'm with ya on that one. Can we go NOW please.

Andy

ITA....I'm sitting here "working" away trying to review something but just can't concentrate. As my mind's checked out of work already, I don't know why I bother staying.
