This is how close the Walmart/Sam's club was in PV...

This guys is a VERY BUSY street. Please keep in mind that they were doing construction while I was there in May and I think in July also. While there are crosswalks, the tour guides were recommending to get a taxi to cross the street. Its that busy and if any of you recall your mis-adventures with taxis and traffic - either way, your risking a bit. Just cross on the light, watch any kids and keep them with you and if all else fails, follow a local (but only on the light)

grr...i'm so upset right now! i was really looking forward to this trip to get my mind off of things...and it's just not gonna happen! We went over to the airport to see what was going on...and they told us...there are NO flights for us tomorrow at all!

Jet BOOOO!!! Completely suspicious that they dumped flights this early...sounds like an excuse for maybe finanicial problems. I don't think they are required for reimbursements for "weather" related cancellations.

Well, I checked at our grocery store,no Downey Wrinkle Release there either.

My DW picked up some at Dollar General.

What day are you doing the shots around the ship? have to calendar it in!

OMGosh! I would love you forever! LOL! DH at least drinks tea..I don't even do that for caffeine! LOL!
I didn't want to have to pop Excedrine Migraine just to get my caffeine fix! LOL!

Just the passports and if you don't want to take your passports off the ship the adults will need their driver's license as the photo ID to get on/off the ship along with your room keys. The kids will just need their room keys

We don't go anywhere without our DL's anyway... so that's not a biggie. I just didn't want to take the BC's if not necessary. Thanks!

And yes...... I'm still awake and yes...... I know I'll be tired tonight by the time we get to HOJO but maybe I'll actually sleep then! That's a thought huh? LOL

I'm all packed (except for hair flat iron we'll use today)- had to wash clothes and everything but that's done now.. dishes washed, bathrooms cleaned (cause I want to come home to a clean house- it will be a madhouse here anyway cause everyone is going to work or school the very next morning!), all bills paid thru september, showed Jeff how to print his boarding pass on Thurs night and wrote his "list" of things to do when he leaves on Friday & printed out all his other stuff like where to park the car on Friday and shuttle to HOJO on Friday/etc.- oh and his bags are packed for him lazy bum LOL, cleaned the aquarium, hypo chlorinated the pool (dh will do that again on Friday night and I'll just pray it doesn't rain a lot while we're gone or we'll come home to a green pool LOL), charged up everything including extra batteries, dumped photos off digi camera onto computer, did a few more magnets (did you guess that? LOL), etc. etc.

Now ALL (ha-ha) I have left to do today is:
*wash/fix hair (all of us!)
*call to pay H20 bills (the only bill left- can't pay it online!)
*take the dog to his home away from home
*take bird to my mom's
*quick stop at the store to buy a few things including underwater disposable cameras
*go to highschool and demand they give me Ruby's schedule early (more like beg....)
*drop by Claire's- ruby wants a tiara now
*deposit J's check at bank and get cashola for the trip
somehow I don't think I'm gonna be able to squeeze in doing my fingernails and toes... ohwell I'll just go with ugly nails and toes. LOL
um..... double check I have everything, load up the car, take off soon as Jeff gets home from work cause we'll be driving in rush hour traffic (even though we're going IN to DFW area the traffic is always bad anyway), and grab something to eat on the way and then voila! We'll be on our way to disney land... on our way to disneyland..... ready or not, here we come!

question?
How do you determine the size of the luggage? AA says length+width+height. Length and height seem to be the same to me The case measures 30" high,20 wide and 10 deep. Does this measure 60?

That is what I was told how to figure the amount too.

And the weather is fine right now in NYC. That really is weird.

OK, so sorry we missed out on signing up for any of the tastings, but there's always HAPPY HOUR!

There will be some openings (3) for tequila tasting on the 24th. We decided it will be too busy the first few days and just would like to relax. Just go to the room and ask on the 24th.

I think I will do that...plus copy the labels from the bottles to bring with me. So kind of the best of both worlds. Thanks Cheryl. Now I have to go out and buy a couple of more pill keepers. I usually just do that also, but was worried about being out of the country. I am not sure all the bottles would fit on my carry on. Getting old is heck. Plus one of my pills I have to split and I don't want to take a pill splitter. I can take 1 1/2 pills twice a day or 1 pill 3x a day. I have a hard enough time remembering to taking the second dose, yet alone 3.

We do the pill splitting at home too. We just load all 7X4 compartments for each of us for 7 days. We then bring 4 of these along plus a couple of days worth extra. I also have just in case drugs like pain pills and antibiotics with labels on.



Not sure, but I bought a small container like a TicTac container that has Splenda tablets (1/2 packet). I drink tea (hot and cold) and have to have some sweetener in it and since I am diabetic no sugar (which doesn't dissolve in iced tea anyway).

Did anyone see the program on Food Network about ginger for motion sickness? I don't remember the name of the show, but they put 4 people on whirling tea cups for 10 minutes with and without ginger capsules and measured how they felt. It was better with the ginger, so that is what I am bringing. But I also bought some Bonine.

Mechlizine is my drug of choice(that is the one given out from guest services).

No more horror stories about flights please. DH checked our flights yesterday (the same flight we will be on in 1 week) and it was over 2 hours late getting to DFW so we would have missed our connection AND the next connection. Now he is freaking out. I keep telling myself I am not going to say "I told you so" when I wanted to fly in Friday or Saturday.

Too late to say I told you so even though you were right.

Well, we finally found out the time for cheer camp starting today at 8:45 last night! I'm not sure what the problem was, but at least we know. I was beginning to wonder...

Most of our packing is done, I just have to do the cleaning, last minute meds, double check everything and I think we are good to go. (At least the kids and I). I was doing my happy dance last night because we leave in 2 more days and I can't wait! It kind of looked like this , but more embarrasing since DD13 was there.

Caropooh, DD was wondering why she hadn't heard from your DD....now I know why. My DS is ADHD also, and sometimes I just can't believe the things he does. It is like some alien has repossessed his body. I was just saying to DH last night, how come when you send him upstairs to get ready for bed, he doesn't come back, but when he wants to know the plans for the day he can ask 20 different questions about where we are going, what time, what are we doing, etc. But, ask him to do more than one thing at a time and nope, not going to happen! Did that even make sense?

Well, I was up at 4:30 since my brain "turned on" and I realized I had a lot of stuff to do. My coffee has kicked in, so now I better get to work. I'll check back later! Happy last Monday before the TOAL!

I just bought insurance 2 days ago do you are not alone in the late minute insurance boat.

We just got the suitcases out of the attic. They weigh 21 pounds EMPTY!!!:eek: Guess the smaller suitcases will get the heavier stuff.

The heavy spinners?? We have the heavy duty spinners and those suitcases are HEAVY!

I dunno but I like to wear shorts on excursions. Sundresses make my legs chafe.

That and on deck 10 when your pulling into port....I normally always wear sundresses.....I was on Deck 10 (with about half the ship....) and a gust of wind came up.......Luckily I DON'T go commando!

last night at 11pm it was still 96 degrees here. It was 103 earlier in the day. I'm looking forward to cooler weather, for sure!

I don't think DCL provided Father Mike with the times yet, but they did tell him that it would be listed in DCL's navigator for those Sundays, so you'll be able to find out the where and when then.

I know we can't / should not hit a child... but that didn't stop me from getting myhand slapped a couple times... which I quickly learned from as a kid.... AND the worst thing about parental discipline when i was a kid was getting yelled at in Chinese. My parents used to warn me if I didn't straighten up or correct my behavior then they would take one of those big Chinese butcher knives (the rectangular ones the size of a book in dimension/not thickness... and chop my head off. And I used to think ... OMG.... I wouldn't survive THAT kind of punishment. I nearly pooped my pants when they warned me about the butcher knife thing.

I know that isn't funny but, I did *lol* at the idea that a parent would threaten something like that. I never*threaten* with anything I'm not willing to follow through with...kwim?

Although I did threaten my now 28ds when he was about 10 that if he didn't shut is mouth I would slap the c*ap out of him. He was the type that couldn't shut his mouth....
