OK so I didn't pack but I did straighten up the kitchen and finally got the newspaper piles and am taking them in piles to the recycling bin.

OK, off to decide what's for dinner and to skim - MAYBE - I really should get started on this packing thing.

Hi everyone, I'm checking in from Huntington Beach, CA -- the flight was super smooth yesterday and we actually got in about half an hour early. All the luggage arrived, and we took a taxi to the Hyatt here to relax at the beach until we switch to DL on Tuesday. Hope all of you are well and see you this time next week!

DD has had some bouts with what may be either heat induced or exercise induced asthma.... SO now i'm worried about draggin her around so much.

You just reminded me to bring my DS's inhaler. He has allergy induced asthma, but we don't know what he is allergic to So far he has only had problems when we are visiting in NY, but we like to bring it with us just in case

I'm trying to get my clothes together for TOAL & the boys come running upstairs to tell me there is a tornado warning !!

I did mine in Microsoft Word. I'll assume that you have that since most people do.

Let me give you some quick step-by-steps. Practice a couple and it comes real easy then.

1. Go to Word
2. At the top menu, click View>Toolbars>WordArt
3. On the WordArt tool bar, click the left hand icon (Insert WordArt)
4. Choose one of the styles and click "OK"
5. Type in text and click "OK"
6. Right click on your text and click on "Format WordArt"
7. Click Color>Fill Effect>Picture
8. Select a picture file from your drive and click "OK"
9. You should see the picture in the letters of your WordArt.

Good luck . . . and have fun with this. I know that I am!

Here is one that I made for one of my friend's sons who worked in the College Program at Disney last year. He was a CM at the Nemo ride at EPCOT. It worked out perfectly since his picture formatted to the "L" in Kyle.

Just to add to this...if you're getting too much background and not enough of the actual picutre, try cropping the picture a bit before inserting it in the Word Art.

Thanks- I think I will.. i mean we'll have Wed and Friday just to lounge around at the hotel. Depending on HOW MUCH (or how little) they enjoy the pool/etc. at Hojo's we may take in DTD and such.

If you are looking for a break from the pool. The little restaurant beside our hotel (BW Park Place) - I think it's called Capt. Kids or something like that. They have hard ice cream - quite a few flavors. Nice afternoon break - ice cream cone time.

That sounds like a great plan. I see that you are from Westchester area. Our flight is on Delta at 8am on Tuesday from Westchester Airport. I have never been there. Do you know how long it should take me to get there from the Tappen Zee bridge? (It takes 45 minutes for me to get to the bridge from my house in North Jersey.)

HPN (White Plains Airport) is probably 15 mins from the Tappan Zee if there is no traffic. I cant see it being more than 30 mins with traffic.

HPN is a great airport. Delays are rare and its not crowded. But I take it you have a connecting flight....

we just checked into the hotel so we can fly out first thing tomorrow morning. decided to check emails...and got an email saying our flight is cancelled!!! this has been an awful week...and i really need it to get better!

ok....trying to pull the bright side out of this....at least you found out tonight instead of showing up tomorrow and finding out...hope you get it all straightened out

Thanks. We hope to leave at 5am and the flight is at 8am. We fly to Atlanta and then to LAX. (At $99 one way it was definitely worth going to HPN instead of Newark.)

I had that problem too, is went away when I did a forced save in the 'Action' sequence at the end.

There's a bunch of stuff on the net about the 'right' way to do correction, but this'll do for now.

I could only find a KODAK water camera...Was looking for the fuji with none to be found.

Oh another question for you guys. Do the DCL busses drop off at the value resorts?? We're on the verge of staying at WDW for a couple of days afterwards. We are going to drive by afterall! And we have annual passes so that's paid for!

I live in Rockland, and travel the bridge on a daily basis....although it's summer, make sure you leave enough time in the morning....traffic has been a bear (I would have used a different word to describe it, but family board and all that ) since they're doing construction, adding new barriers on the sides of the bridge, so they have had these metal plates on the pavement that make people slam on their brakes and come almost to a complete stop. Also, take into consideration that people frequently get into accidents, lose tires, break down, and slow traffic down tremendously and and possibly shut down the bridge for hours at a time...not trying to scare you or freak you out, but a few weeks ago I was going into Westchester to meet some coworkers for dinner and the bridge was shut down for an hour and a half because there was a car fire. Ended up having to go up and over the Bear Mtn. Bridge instead.

But, if luck is on your side (which I'm hoping for your sake it is!), it should take you about 25 minutes from the bridge.

Be prepared when you get there though! Westchester Airport is mad small...you'll have to walk out onto the tarmac to board your plane!!! But other than that, it's a cool little airport.

Electric razor should be fine but it depends on the size of the clipper. I would n t risk the clippers. If you don't find out til screening - no bags to check them in.

ohmy- those are some heavy suitcases!
Our checked luggage is on the smaller side I think. Sometimes I have to look hard to tell the difference between the luggage we're checking and the carryon on luggage! We're using our disney luggage... and I think the large suitcase is only slightly bigger than the carryon. yanno? LOL I weighed ours- jam packed the checked luggage is right at 40lbs.

I just weighed 4 of ours (we have 6). All come in around 46lbs, with room for loot. DW says load-em-up; this is a TOAL and excess baggage fees will just be a small part of the overall cost. Ok sez I.
