8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #14

UNbelievable....
robert already lost his pirate hat. We had it maybe a total of 15min (from the time we purchased it to the time we had walked to the hotel). when we got here the girls went up to the room, he went to the arcade across the hall from the store while I grabbed some breakfast stuff since Von's will deliver long after we have had breakfast and left for DL..... and somewhere in that time he lost it. He probably set it down in the arcade room. Front desk didn't get it and they said the store people clean up the arcade before locking it and would have turned in the hat to them if they found it. So someone took it already (in the 30min or so between time he was in the arcade and time it closed)

didn't even have it long enough to get his name embroidered on it.
*sigh*
This is my life with these kids! Most likely he took it off cause some older boys were in there and he wanted to look "cool" and not like a "baby" with the hat on- but he didn't THINK about the fact that if he took it off he might set it down and forget it! And I was too busy getting food and carrying it when we went up... to think about if he had his hat on or not. He's 10-you'd think he could atleast keep up with it long enough to get to the room!

wasted money and I hate wasted money! LOL

Ahhhh . . . boy brain . . yep that's what we call this unique habit that young boys (through their teens) have of not using their head or otherwise forgetting EVERYTHING they have ever been taught. I've been told around 16 it begins to ebb off . . . some never lose it, but most recover.

It's part of the joy of being a mom to boys.

No worries, we aren't even dressing for pirate night. No one here expressed an interest and I decided not to expend the extra energy. We'll enjoy everyone ELSE's cool costumes (and look silly in our plain clothes)

Oh my gosh that's funny. Maybe not for your DH. The VP of my old DH company was set to go on the may repo. They planned far in advance well 3 months before they were to leave............he had to cancel for a 3 day meeting. Guess where he is now? He was let go 3 months after DH. Now I am not saying that's going to happen to your DH by any stretch...........This company was bought out and well they didn't put any of the " Big Shots" into the budget.

Good to hear because I am bringing the USAA credit card. I don't intend to use any of my credit cards, but you never know what I might find that I just have to have.



I still have 3 days of work left. And it is driving me crazy, but I have some things I have to get set up for while I am gone. I am so jealous of all the folks who are already there and at DL. I keep telling myself that it is OK because in a couple of days I will be on the Magic for 15 days.



Hi Genny. I am the crazy lady from the Cricut board (PTScrapper). We don't leave until 8:40 AM on Sunday morning and have a 40 minute layover in DFW. So we don't get to LAX until almost noon. I am already packed except the last minute things and the clothes I still have to wash.

4 more days folks

You know I wanted the Circut sooooo bad and DH gave to me for Christmas and I have yet used it. I will make the time when doing scrapbook from this cruise.

USAA told me 1% fee on the phone yesterday. Maybe it depends on which card you have.

Safe travels to all who are traveling today.

I called my CC yesterday and was told a 3% fee. Guess it does depend on what card your using.

No I don't think the screen should be grainy. The 2 that I've had weren't like that.

Just printed our boarding passes.. This time tomorrow will be on our plane.. we should arrive in LAX around 9 ish.. from there we are going to Disney Burbank Studios.. have lunch at the commissary... Then our tour.. If everything goes right we should be in HOJO's early evening hopefully we get to the park in time to meet ..

HELL YEA CAN'T WAIT TO EXCITED TO DO STUFF BUT THAN I AM READY SO HAVE NADA TO DO LOLOLOL

Tip for those that are still around............ I just finished getting my mat ready to be signed. If you get painters tape ( purple good for 30 days ) and tape around the edges of mat then you won't get your autographs covered up when framed.

If I am this excited 2 days out, I can't imagine myself on the way to the airport. Have a safe trip.

We have more than 2 hours of travel time (and drop off the dogs time) before getting to the airport! We're doing that the night before leaving and staying with my parents and then going to the airport from there.

We won't have pirate costumes either. DH wouldn't be caught dead in any kind of costume. He actually told me he wants to put a bag over his head so I don't embarass him with all this DIS nonsense. I will try to talk him into at least wearing our pirate t-****s. I have some jewelry, a bandana and an eye patch that I might wear with some denim capris.

Why or why do the minutes seem like hours this week? Where is the time fairy? I am not sleeping well either. DH just keeps asking why I am so "uptight". Yea, like you planned any of this cruise or did anything other than pack your clothes and the cameras (which aren't together yet and he has to get some videos off the hard drive of the camcorder ). I really do love him but...15 days in confined quarters might lead to someone going overboard.

I bought the stuff from Avon and we shipped it out UPS.

I saw some posts earlier about sunscreen and packing it, but it sounded like some people had trouble traveling with the spray kind. I bought two bottles of that this time around and I'm wondering if I will have trouble on the plane. It will be packed in the suitcase.

Just make sure it is in your checked bags and you should be OK.

The problem is they don't want it on airplanes. DH told me last night that if we had shipped it *ground* there would have been no problem. But, we shipped it *select* (which may or may not use airpalnes depending on the circumstances). They do NOT want those cans in your luggage.

We are leaving the *continuous spray* cans at home. We will not take a chance that they will mess with our luguagge.

We even had the correct documents with it and we should have allowed to ship it any way we wanted. But, the airlines have the last say.

I've been packing this same type of sunblock for years and never had a problem before now.......

Oh o.k we are dropping dog off Friday afternoon. We leave at 7:00 AM but won't even get to LA like 5 or so.

Is the captain around? shhhh no packing pirate costumes for us either. Pirate t-shirts though.

I never used the spray can before. I did buy one can and was planning on putting it in DH luggage. I would of couse put it in a ziploc bag. Do you think I will have any problems?

Pirate Wenches DW & DD are headed to the 'salon' this afternoon/evening to get their hair done. They are also taking along their tiaras so they can work out what style will look good with tiaras during the Princess evening

Oh I wish someone else had replied.. we didn't go to DL today but we will be going tomorrow. I'll post tomorrow (anytime we come back to the room but may not be till late if we make it at DL allll day long!) but not sure if you'll still be able to get that info BEFORE you try to use yours! LOL sorry I'm no help. I hope we don't have any problems with it tomorrow!

Thanks -- I had forgotten you decided not to go to the parks yesterday. We won't actually use the DL passes until tomorrow evening. We're heading off to Legoland today and will be in San Diego tomorrow morning, but back tomorrow late afternoon for our first visit to DL!!!!
