I hope everyone's flights go as smooth as ours. Our flight left on time from Denver and we arrived a few minutes early to LAX. We were at Hojo's before 2:00 p.m. as the traffic seemed light. The only problem was that our room wasn't ready so we carried our backpacks to downtown Disney which included the laptop, kids journals, books, etc. Way too heavy for sunny California!

Well, our chance of meeting up at LAX didn't work. Our plan loaded in Atlanta on time, but we arrived at LAX 35 minutes late.

Sounds like you enjoyed getting to Disney as soon as possible. We are venturing to Universal Studios today, taking our niece.

I just have to get used to this time zone change. By CA standards I should still be sleeping at 5:23 am, but I am still on NJ time and it is 8:23. At least I should have this adjusted next Sunday.

I guess the drive to Westchester Airport went well!

The 67 mile trip took 1 hour 15 minutes from the time that we walked out of our house until the time we were in the airport with our suitcases. Traffic was very light.

Just posting from BA Lounge at Heathrow T5, all checked in and rady to get onboard so will be in LA at 1pm USA time today

Wow! i just got up (it's 5:45am here in Cali), this means that Andrew is about 6 hrs away from landing in LAX. Maybe I should send some of my employees over from the local El Segundo office and surprise him

Today is my Friday So to all those leaving early safe trip to everyone. Cheryl and I will be on our way 8:00 am Saturday. Wish we were there now.

Some of you we will see Saturday night, the rest on Sunday. Can't wait to meet all of you. Oh yeah please don't encourage Cheryl to be getting up on the tables. the insurance won't cover her falling off.

Just printed our boarding passes.. This time tomorrow will be on our plane.. we should arrive in LAX around 9 ish.. from there we are going to Disney Burbank Studios.. have lunch at the commissary... Then our tour.. If everything goes right we should be in HOJO's early evening hopefully we get to the park in time to meet ..

Boy everyone was calling in all around me yesterday. Alicia told me you called See you at the Hojo!!!! I am so stressed to get everything in the cases. The clothes are fine but the rest I actually vacuumn packed some things last night to compress the space.
Obly 3 hours today and then a hair appointment. Chads Birthday was yesterday and I promised to take him to dinner. so no time today for finishing up. All day Thurs will be finish up day.

UNbelievable....
robert already lost his pirate hat. We had it maybe a total of 15min (from the time we purchased it to the time we had walked to the hotel). when we got here the girls went up to the room, he went to the arcade across the hall from the store while I grabbed some breakfast stuff since Von's will deliver long after we have had breakfast and left for DL..... and somewhere in that time he lost it. He probably set it down in the arcade room. Front desk didn't get it and they said the store people clean up the arcade before locking it and would have turned in the hat to them if they found it. So someone took it already (in the 30min or so between time he was in the arcade and time it closed)

This is my life with these kids! Most likely he took it off cause some older boys were in there and he wanted to look "cool" and not like a "baby" with the hat on- but he didn't THINK about the fact that if he took it off he might set it down and forget it! And I was too busy getting food and carrying it when we went up... to think about if he had his hat on or not. He's 10-you'd think he could atleast keep up with it long enough to get to the room!

I've often wondered about these...

I did not know they came in such sizes to handle a heavy rig as depcited above.

I'd previously bought a knock-off copy of the real thing at Best Buy, but.....the cheap version had cheap joints and the retaining rings were split rings - it couldn't have supported a wet noodle, so I returned it and bought this one for the big SLR and their baby one for my P&S.

I CAN'T FIND MY DISNEY DINING EXPERIENCE CARD!!! WHY IS IT NOT WITH MY ANNUAL PASS??? I had it a few weeks ago when booking WDW dining for our next trip, but now can't find it!!

I just put in my last load of laundry, but more importantly, I have taken the clothes away from the radioclash boys. They each get one pair of shorts, 4 socks, 2 underwear & as many old carpy shirts as they want until Friday.

Pretty interesting documentary on Pirates called "The Pirate Code" on the National Geographic Channel right now. Will be replayed at 11pm EST.

I had the DVR set to record it! I thought the kids might like o watch it -- we were watching the Olympics & during comercials 10ds kept switching to some type of game show.

It's funny about perspective. We got to CA about 12:30 local time and went to DTD. For us, it was very hot. Not as bad as Orlando in August, but hot for us Denverites. It's much better this evening. We're resting before heading back to DTD for the night. We're wearing our lime green and black wristbands (thanks Tina!!). We'll be changing rooms tomorrow to Building 1. Right now we're in building 2 because we added a day on to our trip and they didn't have any Disney view rooms remaining.

Hola everyone! This time tomorrow we will be sitting in Chicago waiting for the plane to CA. Got my A boarding passes from SWA, so we are all set. I have about 80% of the packing done. (Not very organized, but in one spot!) Looks like 2 checked bags for each of us and two rolling carry-ons + laptop. this should be fun, especially at LAX!!!

First he frowarded an e-mail he received from his boss. Someone way up his chain of command is visiting on August 21. The e-mail contained this line:

His response to the meeeting organizer:

I will be at sea somewhere between Puerto Vallarta and Acapulco.

Regarding "my death"…That would be a real possibility if I cancel my trip ;-)

My response to DH:

Oh yes, there will be death (but not yours).

Hmmm, wonder if I could real quick get the {relief organization that I serve on the board of directors} board to vote on a new grant program for bail money??

Good to hear because I am bringing the USAA credit card. I don't intend to use any of my credit cards, but you never know what I might find that I just have to have.

I'm beginning to wish we'd flown down a few days early. Looks like everyone will be having fun in the parks.

I still have 3 days of work left. And it is driving me crazy, but I have some things I have to get set up for while I am gone. I am so jealous of all the folks who are already there and at DL. I keep telling myself that it is OK because in a couple of days I will be on the Magic for 15 days.

It's hard to believe so many people are already there. We don't leave until Sunday morn.5:00 a.m. I haven't packed a thing yet Have a lot of piles. Tomorrow will have to start and then clean house before we leave. Sunday can't get here fast enough. Everyone have fun in DL and enjoy our great Cali.

Hi Genny. I am the crazy lady from the Cricut board (PTScrapper). We don't leave until 8:40 AM on Sunday morning and have a 40 minute layover in DFW. So we don't get to LAX until almost noon. I am already packed except the last minute things and the clothes I still have to wash.

USAA told me 1% fee on the phone yesterday. Maybe it depends on which card you have.

Ok, speedy's I couldn't catch up with the dis boards . Yesterday was so busy for me and At last I got my nails done YAH... I am so glad that you all made it safely that are leaving earlier.
The boys got haircuts last night and DS14 looks so handsome, I haven't seen him like that for along time cause he likes his hair long... So today going to school he didn't want anyone to see him, So he hide behind the shades today. LOL
DD6 is going to get her hair done today for school pictures and for the cruise so we are going to get it done in a little bit. She loved getting her nails painted and so excited they put a flower decal and little diamond on her nails, she thought that was so cool.

I can't wait to leave and I am jumping out of my seat cause its going slow but fast at the same time.

Well hopefully I can catch up today. Miss you all and can't wait to see you.

Nope, it's only good at WDW.

I don't remember who it was the other night who told me they had the canon sd camera. I got my sd1000 today and the image on the screen is very grainy. The picture comes out fine, but the screen resolution looks horrible. I'm not sure if this is normal or it could be the lighting at night. Not sure if I should try to get amazon to overnight another one or if I should do with this until we get back and then exchange it....

No I don't think the screen should be grainy. The 2 that I've had weren't like that.

Time for me to turn in now....
