Movies

College Road Trip
Enchanted
National Treasure 2
POC AWE
Rattatouille

Step Up
South of the Border
Swing Vote
Prince Caspian

South of the Border is the working title of Beverly Hills Chihuhua (sp?) so I wonder if we actually get to see that!

So what is this COLLEGE ROAD TRIP movie? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljSKc7T9M68

I had not heard of STEP UP before: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vngJ1pWXYnU .... nor have I heard of GAME PLAN: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okZ4S4yjvlw

Well... I take that back... I have seen the trailer for GAME PLAN.. and it looks cute. My previous next door neighbor was a pro football palyer - Mike Seidman - who now plays for the Colts. He recently signed with them after a couple of years with the Carolina Panthers - and he does have a cute little girl... however, he is married to the mom. Since he signed with the COLTS and is making more scratch - I guess he figured it was time to move over into neighboring LAKE SHERWOOD where a lot of sports stars and prominant people reside... like Sylvester Stallone who just bought 2 lake front homes (one to bull doze over no doubt). Sly just spent some $5.5M for one lot with 400' of lakefront exposure and 1.7M for the tear down home next door. Wyane Gretzky lives out there too - along with Hulk Hoogan. I once saw Hoogan walking into the local Ralphs market... he looked really pissed off though about something.

And what about SWING vote? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWodSDYgfXA

Today we are wearing our lime green mickey shirts... and lime green bracelets so listen here- I know you can't miss us if we pass by you... holler out BIP or something why don'tcha? I can't recognize any of you unless you're holding a sign up with your DIS name. :lmao:

Holey Moley . . . I didn't even put that together. However, we all of you at Downtown Disney this afternoon? I saw a group of lime green shirts sitting outside near the Haagen Das ice cream place.

Youngest DD is napping so thought I'd hop on, whch is a bit surreal as I'm sat in the Disneyland Hotel. Despite only arriving last night, we seem to have dealt with the 8 hour time difference so did early entry at DL this morning. A girl gave me her 2 dream fastpasses as we came out of the restrooms in toontown as she said she couldn't use them as her mom worked there. We're not doing DCA so if anyone wants the DCA fastpasses, knock on my door before 4pm (2393 in the wonder tower) & they;re yours. Our UPS pacel from Esteri also turned up today, but have yet to check the contents out. Off to DLtonight for paade & ireworks & will hit DCA tomoroow. Look fprward to seeing some of you soon

Celestine

I just saw this Celestine -- I am in the Magic Tower but will come over right now and see if I can get it!

I licked a llama because I'm sexy and I do what I wan't.:rotfl2:

I wouldn't brag about this....:lmao:

so, I knocked off a bunch of things today....my list is finally going down and it feels great. My last day of work was today, although I have to run in on Saturday to run one last batch of billing off.

We unsealed the sparkletts bottle of loose change, that we've been saving for over a year, weighed it....46lbs........bagged it up (could hardly life it all into the car) and took it to the bank today. Got $547.00 in change and $128.00 in bills! Woohoo...that will be fun to spend....probably mainly pins, shutters and bingo.....and a few drinks along the way! LOL

DD has a haircut appt at 5 and we are off to DCA to meet up with the EP group! FUN!!

I'm getting a giggle out of people posting back and forth FROM Disneyland! :goodvibes

I'm all packed. Bags are way overweight. I guess before I get on the plane in Florida, I'll have to throw things away. Or get a big duffel bag as my 2nd carry-on.

I'm almost too tired to be excited yet, but I will be when the girls all get here tomorrow and our trip finally begins.

Have fun at Disneyland, everyone!!!

I ran over a noodled because I'm sexy and do what I want

I did the macarana with a homeless guy because my family thinks I'm stupid anyway

I had lunch with a noodle because Big Bird said to and he's my leader.

I did the Macarena with a goat because that's how I roll!!!!

And its time for me to roll.......see you all on the left coast!

I did the macarana with a homeless guy because my family thinks I'm stupid anyway

I had lunch with a surfer because someone offered me 1,000,000 dollars.

I jumped on my best friends boyfriend because I'm sexy and do what I want....

LOL...that is SOOO not me!

I danced with a pickle because I'm sexy and I do what I want.

Andy

I smelled an ipod because I think I need some serious help.

Well at least the last part is true.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I jumped on my dog because I'm cool like that.:confused3 :lmao:

I had lunch with a bananam because I can

I licked a llama because I'm sexy and I do what I wan't.:rotfl2:

I ran over a noodle because that's how I roll.

Good thing Tom and I were not wearing the same color shirts today. :goodvibes

I smelled my science teacher because the voices told me to

OK - you guys are not supposed to know about the voices............

Penny

OK so I'm wondering how many will/have missed the original post and just think everyone went nuts! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well we are down to the wire - done some packing - the rest will be done tonight or tomorrow morning.

I am going to attempt at keeping a blog. This is the first time I am doing one so not sure how updated it will be but I will try my best

http://www.magicalkingdoms.com/blog/category/disney-cruise-line/

To everyone that is already in CA - hope you are having a great time
To all that are in the process of leaving have a safe journey

:yay:

I've not yet begun to PACK!

Am I crazy or what?

Seriously... I have a couple of piles of stuff - so maybe I am semi-packed.

sony_dcr_dvd108_zoom1.jpg

And last nite I decided to retire (EBAY) the Sony DVD Camcorder I bought 3 months ago! It's the same as Monica has... and I blame my BIL from Maui. He gets on the phone with me to repeatedly ask about these camcorders he saw at Costco... and so I get to looking at these things at Costco the next day - and I get to thinking... yeah ... maybe it's time to make a long term desicion that is HD compatible and directly outputs to a stable format for long term storage.

So - I finally settled on the Canon Vixia HF100 HD Flash based camcorder. I ordered two - one for me and another for my BIL coming in from Maui for our cruise.

For those GUYs who are interested in the technical short sheet - the HF100 boasts NO memory - you use SDHC cards... requiring a minimum of class 4 speed for recording at the highest bit rate - and 8GB records 1 hour at the best quality and a bit over 2 hours recording at a lower bit rate. The sensor is 3+ MP native resolution so it shots 3MP stills and oversamples to produce the 2 MP HD images at 1080. The manual controls are better than comparable / competitive models ... and the sensor performance is better in low light to competitors but it has some odd marginal weaknesses. the Optical IS is considered less effective then most other competitors - however, even so it reducs modest movement by about 85%. Overall... it is well regarded with output that is tolerable to edit. Having no internal memory - it relies on the falling cost of SDHC cards to make it cost effective... or it relies on MY willingness to haul an external HD to download the footage.

What i like best about this is that it is relatively inexpensive and IMO... over the long haul it will be cheaper to store footage. I don't think I need many Dual layer DVDs... except to one day share footage ... maybe. I can store 100 hours of best quality 1080 HD footage on 800GB of a 1TB drive.

canon-hf100.jpg

At any rate... I'm stuck with it. I paid $639 for it ... plus $44 for a class 4 SDHC card (8GB)... and $64 for fedEX next day delivery on two... but NO sales tax!

I don't suppose anyone wants to buy a nearly brand new sony dcr-dvd108 with 40 blank DVDR discs + one generic high capacity battery + generic charger? I paid $125 for the camera (open box) at Best Buy (receipt furnished for your warrenty), and about $35 for 2 generic batteries + charger. The 40 DVDs are probably worth no less than $50 if not as much as $100 (even in 10 pack spindles!). I would be happy with $175 for the whole thing (worth $210+)! I shot 9 of 10 DVDs off one spindle... and the camera works fine. I initially bought 50 DVD discs so have 40 left in sealed spindles. ANYWAYS ... I don't expect anyone to be shopping for a DVD camcorder here... especially unsolicited. However, I mention it here... just in case.

Anyways .... when I get back I'll list it on ebay for $150 starting bid and see if it gets up above 175. If not - then at least I got rid of it.

Funny thing is that I saw a commercial on TV today for Beverly Hills Chihuahua and it opens October 3rd. :confused3

These same 100 hours could fit on 800GB of a 1TB drive. I prefer to have it on the 1TB drive ... and I want to be editing the footage down to smaller disc size files. THAT I would be willing to share with others. Too much of the video footage is not share-able.

The HF10 has 16MB of internal memory - and takes a removable SDHD card. Yours' is black while mine is a gunmetal grey. Otherwise the internal optics and electronic guts are identical. I went with the HF100 cuz it uz on sale!
