Is anyone else feeling like the closer they get to this trip the more things are going wrong?

Trying to make FE for our door...been working on it off and on for a week...today finally threw in the flag. We may well have a WM bag.
But, I should mention that thanks to Lisa...our door will not be naked.

DH has been out for knee surgery for a month, still haven't gotten any of his disability pay. And, the IRS is still processing our tax...they don't really want to give us our refund apparently.

Just about ready to climb into bed and pull the covers over my head. Probably would, but it is supposed to be hot here today.

OK---vent over. Now back to your previously scheduled broadcasting.

Its tough when things keep knocking you down....here is some pixie dust ...and chocolate may help too...hehehe
Focus on the cruise and all the fun you will have!
I have seen some cute bag FE's too...wish I could remember where and send it to you, but I don't even recall! It's all for fun so don't stress over that one!

I have seen pictures where people will even hang a small gift bag as a FE, and it actually looks pretty cute! Maybe you could even find a pirate themed gift bag. I wouldn't stress over it, though!

The "no stress approach" was what I was trying to use by taking a break when it wasn't working... I even heard my DS (he's 3) say to my DD the other day..."we should leave...mama's gonna sew again" Thanks for the idea...we will employ something along those lines I'm sure.

It really is the least of my worries...I was just trying to save some money by DIY, but it didn't quite workout that way. And, I just got an email from the lady that I bought my son's "formal" outfit from that she is withdrawing (after I had won) because the item has a stain. Back to the drawing board. I guess you either laugh or cry.

Howdy, All

Thought I'd bring you up to date in our little part of the world. Whole family starting to get really excited. Sleeping for me has been hit and miss for weeks now with the planning aspect swirling in my brain.

Winding up work and getting stuff done. I've caught up on the all the pirate chatter than happened over the weekend while we were at the family reunion.
Browsed through lots of magnets threads looking for magnet ideas. Plus, have my fish extender idea done - just need to get supplies and make it now.

But, the bummer is I've caught some low grade virus - went to doctor this morning but he seems to think it's nothing to worry about and it'll just go way - doesn't he know we have a TOAL to go on next week. So, things have sort of shifted into slow mo around here. I do a bit and then take a DIS break. Just hope I can get all the important stuff done and be healthly by the time we leave next Wednesday.

Sorry about hon, I totally there with you on this. That happened to me too with my DD6 formal dress. I really wanted this other one but in the long run it worked out. I found another one but the first one was exactly like mine. I think that color even matched too. But the one we have now is slighly lighter blue. So, I hope also that doesn't matter.
I think that you will be fine on the FE too. I am there with you on the FE but DH ordered on off ebay and we just got it. Yah... Please don't worry things will be ok. We are all here for you "GROUP HUGS".

I am also stressing about the FE goodies and don't have alot and I just hope that I got the right stuff. I just thinking about the airlines because you may not be able to take it.

DH Paul is working on finishing DD Lori & my costumes - we're Sao Feng's bodyguards from AWE.

I'm on my way to take the dogs to a new dog park.

Then - I'm going to figure out what clothes to bring - less is more is my new motto!!

OH and the other motto is stress less - I've been takiing Valium to sleep - I don't want that to become a habit!!

I cannot believe that a week from TOMORROW we fly out I thought the closer this trip got the more time I'd be able to spend here with you all checking stuff off my list of things to do. NOT My list continues to grow, my days continue to feel as though they've shrunk and now the list of things that DID NOT and WILL NOT happen before we fly next Friday is growing.

I did not get a new job.

I did not sell my house.

I did not buy a new house.

I did not lose that last stupid 10 lbs.

We've got a showing tomorrow night at 5:45 (actually it's a 2nd showing so I've got my fingers and toes crossed for good news). And what does my DH do last night??? He starts dragging out suitcases I know, I know we've got a week, but can't we worry about packing suitcases AFTER the showing on Friday. Is that too much to ask

Ok, mini-nervous break down is complete. THANK YOU doesn't quite seem to say it all, but to EVERYONE for all of your hard work over the past 18 months to make this trip that was already an event of epic proportions, a trip that will truly be "Of A Lifetime". Way too slow! I don't want to start any new projects at work and have just wrapped up two very large projects. It's just meetings, small projects (that seem extremely boring this week) and the DIS keeping me busy until next Tuesday!

Depends on what you like

My favorite for years has been French Market, but they just changed the menu and I haven't gotten to try it yet. Don't know if it's still my favorite. I would always get the jambalaya. It's still on the menu but it's changed slightly, I'll have to give it a chance.

Next up is Redd Rocket's Pizza Port, but not for the pizze, the salads and pasta are great. Especially the Chicken Fusilli. And the portions are huge. The pasta can easily be shared by 2 or 3 people.

Also like Rancho del Zocalo. Haven't had any of the traditional Mexican dishes, but the Ceasar salad is great.

Stay away from Pinnochio Village Huas....blech.
