Shoes...now that's a problem. We usually have a whole (small) suitcase just for shoes. DH just shakes his head. The only good thing about that is that both DDs and I are the same size, so we can share. But you can never have enough choices with shoes.....

CRUISE QUESTION

What time is everyone getting to the terminal? I think you can start checking in at 10:00, but what time can you actually get on the ship?

We're trying to be there just after it opens.

Everyone in South Jersey says everything above Rt. 195 is North Jersey
Those of us in between are just in no where land

But everyone in EXTREME South Jersey conciders anything north of Atlantic City,well, NOT South Jersey.

It brings up the mail fine, but when I tap on the attachment, it loads it, but crashes the iPhone on page 4 of the full Navigator.

Ringtones:

Find the tune you want in iTunes.
Select it and right click 'Get Info'
Click on 'Options' and select a 30 second, or less clip from the tune.
Right click and select 'Convert selection to AAC' - this will create a new tune in your library
From the 'File' menu - click on 'Show in Windows Explorer'
Copy this file somewhere safe - I keep a folder just for ringtones.
Then go to the Windows control panel and in 'Folder Options' unselect 'Hide extensions for known file types'
Rename the file you saved from filename.m4a to filename.m4r
Double click on the renamed file - itunes will import it as a ringtone which you can then sync with your phone.

Tan advice, please!
Do I try to tan my back or just leave myself 2-toned? Obviously I'm not real tan to begin with, but does it look weird? I'd have to use sunless stuff.

You know, I would get some of the Jergens Tan lotion stuff. I think if you used that for a few days it would make the tan lines less noticeable but it is not that bad now.

We will actually be leaving DL around 10, I believe they start boarding around Noon.

Just checking in to say good morning, heading off to work. Only 4 more days of work before our TOAL, today, Th, F and next Tuesday. Only 9 more days till we leave for DL (now we are in single digits and the countdown really begins).

Actually started pulling clothes out and today they are going on the Dining Room table.... Let's see which one of my gems makes a comment first...

Jo, thanks for letting me know about the Dolphin Swim opening up. I was able to get a 9:45 slot in Cabo for me and the girls, now I am really excited. I have wanted to do this forever....Canceled the HB riding (which we did on our last cruise in Mazatlan), but I think we are really going to enjoy this.

Rita just turned 8 and wants to go to the club, is small for her age, doesn't want to be with robert in the lab, etc. Maybe they'll let us do a switcheroo with Rita and Katie if both lab and/or club are too full for them to go in the other group but if they were SWITCHING then the fullness wouldn't be relevant?

Was all of that really 2 years ago??? DH really didn't know of 'those internet people' til the day of the cruise. I do remember Andy and Devon spying from a far. oh, BTW, it was my own mother who for some reason was worried when she couldn't reach me. Go figure. My MIL speaks about 3 words of English.

Isn't that who your DH was visiting? His family? Yes, I remember you sneaking down to the basement and having to stiffle the laughs while you DISed in secret. I remember meeting you DH as we were in the concierge section waiting to board. He said that he was fine with us as long as he didn't have to do anything. He seemed to enjoy himself with us at brunch.

WOW!! 35 pages for a cruise that we can't even officially book yet - I'm impressed. I only got through page 3, so far (girl's gotta work some time).

We are on THE LIST for the EB Repo. Anyone know what time booking starts on Wed.?? We are 4 hours earlier than FL time. Is my cell phone gonna ring at like 2 am??

Anyway the sk8fam is me, DH, and the DSs who will be 8 & 9-10 (birthday on board!) when we sail. It will be our 3rd DCL trip. I'm SOOOOOO excited!
It is a sad fact that I have no idea where my family will be living in 6 months (DH is military), but I'm planning a vacation more than 18 months away! DH thinks I'm nuts, I call it a coping mechanism.

You knew that you'd be moving when you booked the trip and we had no idea that we'd be moving when we booked the trip. It was exactly one month later that I received a call from an executive recruiter about the opportunity to move to Denver. Your reference to the TOAL as a coping mechanism reminds of the past season of Lost with the need for a "constant" to avoid losing your mind!

LOL! Your naivity really did keep you from the booking madness. I swear we all wanted to kill that darn beast on booking day!

Yes, ignorance was bliss! I did get payback this past May though when trying to book excursions and couldn't log in to the DCL website for over 2 hours after the booking window opened.

Wow, I went back and tried to find my first post from 1/31/07. I knew it was in the evening on 1/31/07, but it was still hard to find due to the sheer number of posts that day!!

It currently resides on Thread #2, page 247, Post #3700 and it was around 7:30 p.m. Central Time on day 1.

We had post #18 on page 2. Since discovering the Magic was coming to LA (1/6/07) I had my mind set on being on this TOAL.

We too will be trying to be on board. If nothing else I need to book a room and have 1-1/2 years to decide if we can go! I would never forgive myself if I don't. I can always cancel later. Kids will have to miss the first 2 days of school but what a chance to see the world. Does anyone know how many cabins are available in each cat. on the ship? (ie. how many #Cat 12, #Cat 11,....etc) Just want to know what my odds are.

I am still finding all the post it's and small scraps of paper I made notes on and trying to be half as organized as you all are. I know I signed DH and DD up for wine, rum and (I think) martini tastings but can't remember who is handling that. Can anyone help with the info? I remember there was quite a list so I know that one of you helpful pirates can bring me up to date on these plans.

I adore my grandkids == but when you add this visit to just getting back from DD's move == just trying to keep up with a 3 and 5 year old is doing me in. I am really tired at this point. I really need this vacation.

Well we're not going SUPER commando style- just going commando style when we're there. KWIM? cause we don't know how to actually be IN the park and not going commando style. LOL But we don't plan on going every day... we're going to the parks every other day- the other days spent at the hotel. It's just that realizing they are open till midnight... well we're nightowl kind of people (except DH who won't be arriving till Friday night anyway) so I'm sure we'll be there till midnight. We might not be there at opening though. LOL

So it's underwear on HoJo's days, but not in Disneyland? I guess that will save a little space in the luggage!
