8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #12

Back from shopping yet again. Got the vaccum from Sears (left at 2 pm got back at 8 pm). I took a lap around the mall and got some more stuff. Pair of linen pants from Old Navy, my tiara, neclack and earings at Clairs (now have to shove earnings in to open my holes back up), some tops at target and another pair of pants from Dress Barn in a larger size than the ones I got in SF since they did not carry Women's in SF. I think that is it, oh got myself a chair and foot massage at a place called the art of reflexology - that was awesome. Ok, I need to hide the credit card from now till vacation.

As of Monday I will have 15 days of work till the TOAL which means only 4 days to get things together (any other last mintue shopping and packing). Depends when you catch me which emotion I am having.

Medical emergency. They called for one on our June cruise, to "crew elevator deck 1".
We had a CM tell us some of the neat codes, too. It's fun.

Before you give up on wdw, you might reshop for flights with other airlines. I'm not sure where you're flying from, but if it's Milwaukee (as shown on the page), be sure to also check out flying Southwest from Chicago. If you have flexibility on dates, you can do a lot better than $500/person.

We aren't going to give up, we will see what we can come up with!

We were flying Midwest, and will check out Airtran to go direct from Milwaukee. We fly out of O'Hare alot for our international travel as I try to always go non-stop. The Southwest problem is that is it out of Midway, that is a pretty long drive for us. Whereas O'Hare is only about 90 minutes at the most...so we will have to see what comes up!

Thanks for the tips...I am so focused on the TOAL, that I will deal with this when we come back probably!!!!

Spoke to Cheryl and they just literally made the 3pm train to Michigan and they will be at the hospital very early. Seems he is allergic to the contrast and he broke out in a rash from the contrast dye so they have to give him some meds to prevent it from happening again. She is without internet and I told her I would keep her updated.

The shoes took 8 weeks, had an old world cobbler make them in Canada. Great job! I dressed them up a little based on the originals from the movie.

Call me crazy but I had a ball creating it.

Uh BIP...you do kmow that DCL does have to seat them with you in the dining room. (even if it is on paper) I don't think they can just put two seats for the adults in the party at a table.

Yes we do know that. We have it kinda worked out trying to get a larger table for our family of 5, some of the others minus the couple eating with us too-then if couple is sitting next to us at a table for 2 or something like that- they'll just sit with all of us at our table as planned... in our children's seats since they won't be eating with us anyway.
And if they are able to get us a table big enough for everyone linked together- we'll just have 3 empty seats...... and play musical chairs (sorta- IOW not have to sit in the same spot every night) or something. hehe

Just got back from the airport. Timed it perfectly as he was out waiting. He had such a good time. He said it was enormous and everyone was there. The producers from Lost and Pushing Daisies altho they wouldn't give any info on the story line. Then they went to a restaurant Bali Hai (sp) as one of the girls he was with has family that owns the restaurant.They got dinner and got to admire the view.I'm glad he is home for now. Nest one is in Anaheim in Oct for the gamers.

Hey, did I forget to mention the two "Star Brights" on the cruise? The first was Cabo I believe and the second was this morning at 7 am. We were awoken to the intercom coming into EACH room stating - Star Bright, Star Bright, Star Bright - Room 7122. I said a quick prayer and 'attempted' to go to bed for another hours.

The 'word' codes are unique to DCL. Disneyland uses number codes. Not sure about WDW, but I think they use the same codes as DL.

At DL
101 - Attraction down
102 - Attraction down, urgent
103 - Attraction down, emergency
513 - Check it out (usually a suspicious group or circumstance brewing)
904 - Fire

They do use few non numeric codes
Code V - you might also hear this referred to as a 'protein spill'
Code P
use your imagination, both of these are bodily functions

Code H - bodily function for the horses on Main Street

Yes sometimes, depending on the length of the CD's, it can. At times like that, I just stop and try at a later time. Also, if you have a newer laptop, that seems to run much faster. I was trying to upload one book - 13 CD's - but the speed at uploading was fluctuating from 0.7X to 1.4X that I turned on my laptop, and had uploaded discs 1, 3,4,5 before disc 2 was even done. My laptop when its running fast can upload at speed of 10.5 to 13.4X. I love these times. I have enough time to go to the bathroom and then its uploaded.

However, once you have it there, you can save it anywhere. Keep in mind that if you "burn" things, sometimes they have a limit on how many times you can burn things. I haven't tried to burn the audiobooks so I'll have to double check that but I got tons of books if anyone is interested. But keep in mind I listen to a lot of books on murder, mystery, alien abduction......er.....Star Light Star Bright. Only once in a while do I need some fluff but those I get from Sam's Club.

There was a teen "star" on the 10 Night Christmas cruise....I can't remember now who it was, and I'd ask the kids except Jared's doing yard work and Jordan's cleaning the bathroom and I'm not about to interrupt either of them!! But anyway......she was a TRUE diva. What a snot. Her room was near ours and we'd run into her in the hallway as she was griping to her Mom about one thing or another......I really hope if we have these two girls mentioned, they aren't snotty like that girl was.

Jordan just came by, she doesn't remember her name either, but said she might have been on "Even Stevens"??? And the first thing Jordan said was "She was a *itch".

Christy Carlson Romano. I just looked it up.

I didn't know who she was but would recognize her voice..DD loves Kim Possible! I also found it interesting that she stared on Broadway as Belle.

Hopefully who ever they get will be polite and entertain everyone!
