I think those are with the documents where people didn't check in completely online. I didn't get pages like that in mine either.

Yes, I agree the package is far smaller if you check in online, and the covering letter makes reference to the fact that you have completed it.

So thats the benefit really check in line and you get the second Sunday and the Panama canal, don't check in online and you fast forward past Panama,:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I didn't get an itinerary with my cruise docs. Just luggage tags, a checklist a red "make sure ya got citizenship docs & get on the boat by 4 pm", and the travel booklet. waaahhh

That is all I got too. I think it is because we had all our online paperwork completed. I picked up my travel documents from the TA Friday afternoon. She checked with American about the luggage fees. Bad news is I will be paying because Disney booked the flights in July after the new fee structure went into effect. So $15 each for the first bag and $25 for the second. Since we will have 3 bags that will be $55 I didn't count on, plus $25 Delta will charge on the way home. (They only charge for the second bag). And God help me if any of the bags are overweight, especially on the way home.

I thought I had completed all my shopping and then realized we will need a surge protector with all this electronic stuff that needs to be charged - laptop, cameras, etc. So off to the store again today. Did find the individual Tide packets, a back up camera battery and travel size toothpaste etc. So for now I think I have everything but the surge protector.:cool1: I do need to polish my tiara before the trip.princess: We also took the coins from our bottle to the bank and had over $275. That should buy a few DOTDs (even though I am not supposed to drink them).

Love all the great pirate costumes. Too bad I don't have room in my luggage. I guess I will have to settle for a pirate t**** and black capris. I do have a bandana, an eye patch and some hoop earrings. So I guess it is all in the accessories.

Mine is the new Clubman...it's bigger than a regular Mini Cooper, and has an extra door that opens to the back seat. Don't give up on it yet, go take a look at the Clubmans. And if it isn't an "S" model the price isn't all that much more.

Off to look at the Clubman online :) I had no idea there was another door!! The other problem is is that DH is an engineer for a major car company and we "should" purchase one of their models or the counterpart. I guess we'll see what the prices are like next year!

Gosh I feel like such a snitch! :rotfl: Anyway, got some bad news for some of you. It seems that our resident live-in-celebrity will not be joining our pirate: group on the crossing. Seems Disney did the demographics and the common age is tweeners.

So, they did not "ask" our resident celebrity to join us. Instead, they will be kicking him off come tomorrow. :rotfl2: That just sounds so weird. They did announce who would be on here right? Ally & A.J. God, please don't let it be HM. NOT A RUMOR FOLKS, just a hope. However, this Ally & A.J. came from the resident's spouse. Seems my son (Andrew - its that name I tell you - Andrew just is a pain in the behind ;) ) struck up a "loo" conversation and it turns out that this was trip was originally planned. I didn't believe him so I set out to find out the truth. Turns out, he was telling the truth, also JF is a huge Star Wars hogger as in the arcade game. My son tried to play but JF outlasted him and he gave up after 45 minutes. :lmao: Finally, another smart add outsmarting another smart add. :rotfl2:

As for the farewell show today, it was a great hit. The Blackstreet Boys did a smidgon of their show and they were a crowd favorite. They will be seen on an upcoming film with Ice T. They've done some other stuff but it eludes me now. Sonja White, the other entertainer, was a contestant on Last Comic Standing on Season 4. She was also recently seen on Southern Dixie Chick or something like that. She's funny and let me tell you - that lady can get down. She was holding her own with the college age group. I was occasionally allowed to dance as long as I didn't go crazy. I went a little crazy yesterday with Flo Rida's "In the Ayer" and I was sent to my cabin - told I was too old. Humph! Too old my but! I got "Low"-er than my DD - 'course she had her knee surgury which doesn't allow for extreme movement but I can still hang - (when I'm allowed too! :lmao: )

Who are Ally and AJ?:confused3

I've been listening to Flo Rida all weekend.:dancer:

I find it hard to believe they wouldn't have "someone" who the adults knew!! All this talk of tweens has me a little scared. I'd rather have tons of little ones!!

I am kind of disappointed that JF will not be on. I used to listen to the "boy" band music a lot
I did see him walking around WDW one time and he was inline with us at HMansion

My kids would be thrilled if they were onboard
One of them, I think Aly, was on the Disney show Phil of the Future. AJ is her sister. If you saw the movie Cow Bells they were in that
I am not saying a word to the kids though. If they really will be onboard it will just be a big suprise

g'mornin' pirate:s

I'm shopped out. Ugh. I've given up on finding a new dress for casual dinner night. I wanted a one-color dress, no pattern. Everything has a pattern this year! Oh well.

We took the kids and 2 friends to a "Dive In Movie" at our pool last night. Surf's Up, it was fun.

OK, I am interested......where do Texans park their horses when they go to the Airport.

Is it a stable parking lot?:lmao:

Same place Alaskans park their dog sleds when they leave their igloos to go out of town.

Yeah!

Finally finished all our costumes. Now the task of packing them, ugh!

Here is my oldest daughter in her ES POTC Gold Gown:

Totally amazing Peter!

I think it depends from what agency you are renting. Some of them are off site and there are a few on site. The lines on a weekend tend to be very, very long from what I understand. Perhaps at 8:30 it will not be as bad as a Saturday morning. Check out the tripadvisor forums. THat's where I heard about all the horror stories. I think Budget was supposed to be the worst.

Budget is seems to have crazy long lines everywhere, unless you have their FastBreak card - get it online for free. It's not a frequent renter card, it's really more a pre-registration card. You go to where the cars are (pass the counter i the terminal) show your card & DL and they hand you the keys.

Joey Fatone, the professional cruise, :rotfl2: signed autographs today at two but I got him last night with the Blackstreet boys which BTW, are hilarious - lots of cutting edge humor but they are not scheduled for our cruise  anyway, Sonja White, the Cougar, is also sceduled to perform but just wanted to add that. Will check later this evening if anyone wants any last minute requests.

Talk to you later.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I am Back!!!!

Thanks for all your prayers for DS. I never said but he was in the ER the same time with my DGD(when she was admitted for Salmonella) 3 weeks ago.:sad2: Since John had heart attack at 41.... my DS thought he was having one and with all the history....the doctors were worried too!!. It took 3 weeks in Michigan to schedule a Heart Scan non-invasive angiogram. His results were not good so left for Michigan by train. :scared: He had angiogram on Thursday. The great news is he takes after me and has good genes as far as heart problems. :yay: :yay: Doctors think he had a blood clot that went to his lungs that caused severe chest pains or he had a virus!!:rolleyes1

I hope I did not miss anything too important as I think I will just not read everything I missed for 5 days.:flower3:

I did get my documents which were on the porch for 4 days!!:rolleyes1 I guess it is for real now!!!:dance3: :dance3:

Talk with you all tomorrow. I am first going to get my Tiara!!:worship: :worship:

I'm so glad he's OK Cheryl!
Welcome back.

Morning everyone :goodvibes
DS flying home from San Diego today. Some sort of comic anime convention?
He is going back in Oct to Anaheim I think for the World of Warcraft one. This time my DD wants to go with him as they are avid players.

Off to get ready for work.:surfweb:

As of today, I am officially a MOST (Mom of stinky teen).

Ds had his friend b-day party on Friday night and family one yesterday. We are getting the house back in order today!

Collection for the soldiers in Iraq was a BIG success! Boy do we have a box to send! :goodvibes All of the kids and parents were so supportive of it, and several of them said they want to do the same kind of thing for their next birthday. :thumbsup2

PETE-- I can not tell you how impressive your dd's costume is! I showed it to my dd and she said "She even LOOKS like Elizabeth Swann!" You all are going to look great!

Is anyone here staying on the ship in Cartagena because of safety concerns? We are scheduled for the city walking tour, but I was just on the Dept. of State's website and Colombia is still listed as one of the countries they don't recommend that you travel to and a new warning was issued in Feb. 2008. I want to get off the ship to add one more place to my been there list :), but I'm worried. I was also puzzled by why our tour says not recommended for women who are expecting.

Maybe because of this?
"Guests are required to walk across approximatley 2,000 yards of uneven and uphill terrain"
It is also listed as an 'active' tour

Also maybe because it is a 4.5 hour tour most of which will consist of walking and standing, and I am sure that that it will be HOT

I would ask your TA to argue with DCL they should pick up the fees, as you booked your airfare with them when you booked the cruise (which was before the fee increase, correct?).

Honestly, I never saw that it was an active tour. Hmmm.... Time to reconsider since the tour is from 10:30-2:30, peak heat hours! This is something we would usually do on our own, but I don't feel comfortable doing that at this port.
