Oh my! What about phoning and whining a bit at DCL about how much you have planned around that date and you even have an engraved gift for your DH to boot based on the date they originally gave you. It couldn't hurt to try.

I thought about it..I might...I just know it's not a huge deal but I just wish they had told me..I thought 4 weeks before the cruise (and after they said everything was final) that it would be ok to get the engraving.



Edit: I did send an email...I know that they had the right to change the date..I just wish they had called or sent an email.

Ok when my daughter was training to fly her jet F15 she called us to let us know she just bombed the sombrero(hat) and I ask what R you talking about.. She said her target was to bombed the sombrero at South of the Border.. I laughed so hard..

As you know driving back and forth from NY to Florida you see those signs 100 miles away..lol

No it is more like random round shiny rhinestones among hazy leave like rhinestones almost like berries & leaves on a vine? Does that make sense?

Khaki shorts and different shirts are just fine for the dining room.
As for formal and semi---get him one pair of black slacks (cheap like at Target or WalMart) and a white shirt for semi and on formal night add a tie. He'll look cute as a button and you won't waste $$ on a suit.

Good idea. I think I'll try and hit Target this weekend. And eek, I didn't think about the shoes. I wonder if I can find a cheap pair of nicer shoes, I'm guessing his sneakers or crocs won't cut it.

I am trying to remain positive .. but I will be honest..I would never do this again..it has been very difficult with very little info - I am very frustrated..the worst part really is have the engraved money clip with the wrong date ..I guess what bothers me more is that it was very nochelant.I foudn out when I got the docs today...what if I had invites printed or something to that effect? They said the Captain changed it but a phone call would have been nice! Ok...that evening..we meet up on deck for wine and leftover wedding cake!

I guess it would killsomeone to actually call!! And I know this wasn't cheap!!! Tell me where/time and I'm in! LOL!

I don't know if I will be able to get one...(though I want to) and I have my bridal one...but haven't worn that yet and if anything happened to it I would be sad.....
