I was just wondering if you can tell me what magnetic paper? I know that maybe a dumb question but I am not sure what you all are using it for. Also, did everyone get their post cards ready yet?

Yeah, it turns out that regular doctors don't generally do travel medicine - that's a travel clinics.

As I read it, if you had Hep A with the 6 month booster, you should be set. Tetnus is good for 10 years. My Dr. recommended against Yellow Fever or Malaria vaccines/perscriptions, etc.

I called and complained to my doctor's office about it. I have to pay $40 to see the travel doc and then $95 for the vaccine and none of it's covered by insurance because it's "out-of-network!" BLAH!! I complained and they took my name and number and are going to look in to it. I pulled the "I'm paying so much for our wedding and our honeymoon that if you could find a way to save me this $$ when my insurance says that the shot(s) I need are covered under 'preventative medicine', that would be wonderful." I think she said she'd take care of it so I'd stop bugging her! Keep your fingers crossed!

Oh my! What about phoning and whining a bit at DCL about how much you have planned around that date and you even have an engraved gift for your DH to boot based on the date they originally gave you. It couldn't hurt to try.

I'm with Wendy on this. I'd call and complain because you planned around it and they didn't have the decency to call you. Tell them you're fine with the date change, but you'll be sending them the bill for the new gifts for your DH. See what they say! I've learned that sometimes when you complain enough, they will do anything to get rid of you. (see above)

I thought about it..I might...I just know it's not a huge deal but I just wish they had told me..I thought 4 weeks before the cruise (and after they said everything was final) that it would be ok to get the engraving.

Edit: I did send an email...I know that they had the right to change the date..I just wish they had called or sent an email.

Desiree - this is a HUGE DEAL! It's your VR and it's special to you. You may not be getting married for the first time, but you are renewing your vows and that's a VERY special thing. Don't let them treat you poorly.

Just spoke to Cheryl. They have been at the hospital since 7 this morning and they just took him for his test. Seems they have 4 cath labs and only 1 working today She is not very happy. I pity the hospital staff if they delay any longer. Will keep you informed. Have sent her all the well wishes and warned her about eating at Cabo Wabo

I sent them an email and will see what happens...if not resolved..I will call as well..I have had better luck with email in the past..it is a huge deal but I just ment in regards to what some people are going thru..it seems so miniscule...

I also have to see if the store I got the gift at has another money clip..at the time I got it last week..it was the last one left.

I think my docs are just enjoying lurking in Oakland. After a quick overnight sprint across the country, and a briefly layover not 10 miles from my house, they dashed off to Oakland where they are doing who knows what. Whatever it is can't be very good. I'll be sure to examine the pictures they took very carefully - make sure they didn't rewrite themselves to put us on deck 1 (or lower).....

We are making signs for our cabin doors. The doors are metal so we print images on magnets.

If you look on the main cruise forum, you'll see a few threads discusing door signs/magnets.

Ds12 loves to dress up too. We are frugal, so he will be wearing a black suit for formal nights, but he LOVED wearing a tux when he was in my brother's wedding last Summer. He would totally dig the tails, top hat and cane! He'd think he's Willy Wonka.

His personality in a nutshell.......We have a little "inside" family joke about him that we always have to repeat whenever we are having a nice dinner. He has always loved drinking (non-alcoholic) beverages out of a wine glass. And when he was first learning to drink from a cup, it was actually easier for him to hold the stem of a wine glass than a regular cup. Anyway, when he was about 3 years old, he was sipping from his wine glass and says to us in his best British accent "I'm a man with a glass!" Oh....I'm laughing just thinking about it! I guess you had to be there.......

Oh, well, mine aren't scheduled for delivery until 7/28

So..I am working on stuff around the house and DD reminds me that we got DH engraved cufflinks and a money clip as a gift for the VR..and they are now engraved with the wrong date

Kind of bummed but I guess DH will just have to add 3 days when he looks at them!

They were to expensive to buy again...oh well.. it will work out!

That stinks, but then you could do your own ceremony (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) & then you'd have that to remember with the cufflinks & clip.
