CRUISE QUESTION!!!



Okay....finally got around to trying to pack up the wine and Pepsi. Won't fit in a rolling duffel....so I'm using an old suitcase that I'll just leave on the ship. Maybe some CM will need one.
Anyway.....the darn thing is REALLY heavy. Really really heavy. I can barely lift it.
SO.....will the porters take it and check it in, or will I have to haul it all over until our room is ready??? Do they have a weight limit??

I've never taken wine, just a few Pepsi's.......

What about splitting it up? Or is it possible to get Pepsi at the Wal-Mart in PV?

My thinking is...if you can't tell, you don't want to know....

Whenever we pass a young man that has multiple piercings (like a chain from his eyebrow to his nose to his chin)...crazy hair (I mean insane hair!) etc...DD always says to me.."I know Mom..when I get older..i better not bring a guy like that home!"

But I think something is missing, they look incomplete. It stops at a page called "Cruise and Airline Contracts" and there is nothing after that. Guess I will have to call DCL now and see.

That's where I made my mistake. I didn't ask concierge what TIME our rotation would be. Oh well. It is what it is. I'm there, and that's all that matters. Well, me and 1500+ of my best DIS friends!

Ours have been in Portland since last night. They visited Louisville too. I wonder if they saw your docs?

Mine have just been sitting in Oakland. Why they went there after visiting San Jose is beyond me. Guess they want to make sure that no 3 day select items accidentally get delivered in 2.

CRUISE QUESTION

I called my dr office today to ask about immunizations for the cruise and they were completely unhelpful. Told me they don't do it and I have to go to a special "travel" clinic to get this done. If I already had my Hep A shots a while ago and my last Tetnus was 6 years ago, do I really need anything else? Are we going to need Yellow Fever or Malaria vaccines? Or a Malaria prescription??? The travel clinic is "out of network" and I don't want to spend the $$ if I can help it. Thanks!

Yeah, it turns out that regular doctors don't generally do travel medicine - that's a travel clinics.

As I read it, if you had Hep A with the 6 month booster, you should be set. Tetnus is good for 10 years. My Dr. recommended against Yellow Fever or Malaria vaccines/perscriptions, etc.

Debi- Can you do me a favor? Miranda is looking for a OK quarter for her collection. Apparantly they came out later then most of the others. Anyway, my Dad and her went through this huge jar of qrts he has been saving and coincedently came across every state except OK or RI I think. We do not want a new mint one- just a plain ole OK quarter.

I just checked on our docs..seems they were put on the bullet train...they have arrived at the local area UPS and will be here tomorrow!

Not bad..they got from Orlando yesterday to our area today!

They visited Dallas and West Columbia, SC along the way.....

only strange thing is..it says three packages .. wonder if someone else from our area is going?

I just realized that I will have 2 tiaras with me. I have one that I wear in the parks and another more substantial one for the cruise. So if you don't find anything, I'll have a spare.

My "spare" looks like the one you wear to the parks.

So..I am working on stuff around the house and DD reminds me that we got DH engraved cufflinks and a money clip as a gift for the VR..and they are now engraved with the wrong date

Kind of bummed but I guess DH will just have to add 3 days when he looks at them!

They were to expensive to buy again...oh well.. it will work out!

Oh my! What about phoning and whining a bit at DCL about how much you have planned around that date and you even have an engraved gift for your DH to boot based on the date they originally gave you. It couldn't hurt to try.

Chrissie I was trying to prop this tiara up a little so you could see it. Not the greatest pic since DD took it with her cell phone, but if you want it...it's yours!
