I loved Mamma Mia!!!! :woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo: I saw it Saturday night and Universal had two huge machines of confetti that expolded for ten minutes during the last scenes of the movie. :cheer2: :cheer2: We have a huge mega complex of 30 screens at this theater. I think we were the only theater to have this in the Chicago area.:yay: :yay: :yay:

I was just thinking of this today!! :dance3:

I was also thinking that it had to be getting that time soon! WOOO HOOOOO! (I haven't got mine yet, but I know it should be any day now!)
I did officially finish all of our online check in! :)

I have a question....Kevin works with this Know-it-all,Disney Expert. They've been talking about the trip for the last few weeks and Kev mentioned that we were going to try and set up a Photo Shoot in front of pirate: Ship in our costumes. Well the "expert" says "Oh,you can't do that! It's on Disney property and corporate wouldn't allow non employees in costumes on their property. They wouldn't want anyone to confuse them with Disney Characters. " And he mentioned something, about some actress, that tried to wear her Peter Pan costume into one of the parks and there being some kind of brew-ha-ha about it. I just want to get that picture taken to rub in his smug little face!

I love it when people THINK they know it all, and they are completely wrong. They won't listen.
I would love to see the look on their face!

I know that Disneyland will not allow adults in costume (I once had a sock hop costume on and they made me remove the scarf and the crinolin (sp?) and then I could go in (had to put it in the backpack) They said the rule was no costumes for adults in the parks but I can't see what CC would not allow it..especially because they have encouraged people to bring pirate costumes!

Yeah, I would think the parks and the island are different things. I have noticed that besides Capt Jack, there really aren't any face characters on the island at all, only costumed characters, where in the parks they can be mixed up with all of the princesses and face characters. I think this is why there is a difference.

I am.....Cabo Wabo!!!!:dance3:

Hey Cheryl,

I don't think we're going to make it to Cabo Wabo, but I'd really like to pick up a t-shirt for my brother (and maybe one for me too). If I give you money, would you mind picking up a shirt or two for me?

Oh yeah - according to guest services - zip lining in Cabo has been completely cancelled. WHy? not sure but she made it seem like the company was gone. Has this been discussed before and I'm just a day late and a dollar short again?

Oh, I hope not, this is what I've got booked independently in Cabo.

Paula - when was the last time you heard from them?? Hopefully we're with a different company.

I think you will really like it! Make sure you stay for the credits!!!!:)

As for the Nationals: DH just likes to go to car shows and it has been ages since we did that! Didn't make it htis year either! (I am in B'ville/Radisson).

Happy Belated Birthday!:wizard:

We packed our first suitcase- kids' clothes and some toiletries, etc for Disneyland.

It came in at only 48 pounds!!

What did you think about the Dark Knight? It seems a little too dark for my liking...... I guess I am more of a happy go lucky, uplifting movie type of gal. Maybe that's why I like comedies more?

Did you like Hancock?

We'd most likely do the same thing. That or wear our suits under the costumes and just peel them off after the picture's taken and pack them in a beach bag...if they'd fit.

That is funny Desiree.....considering so many people dressed at DL that look like costumes (much worse then a sock hop outfit), that they let thru those gates. Some look straight out of a horror movie!

You must have looked so good, that they were afraid you would take away from the princesses.....hehehe

Actually this is not true , I have been asked numerous times if I was getting off on Castaway Cay to take pics with the Dutchman by Rachel the CD and also Frank the head of security .. Also I have seen another guest , it was a girl who dressed as Jack Sparrow and she came off the ship in full costume and got pictures with the dutchman with no incident .... From what I understand , in the Parks they DO NOT allow you to dress up unless it is a special event like Pirate and Princess or Halloween thing ... But I will Double Check before we get to Castaway Cay , but I am almost sure there would be no issue ..... Heck if they let me take pics with there Jack and have even asked me too take pics with the ships Jack I dont see any issues taken a picture with the Dutchman ... Remember Disney does not own the Dutchman .its on lease from JB .....

ok..I have to go to the dreaded thing and go to weight watchers...

I will let you know how the movie was...

Have a great night everyone..

Thank you Todd, I knew you would have the answer!!

Should not be a problem.:thumbsup2 I am first going to Historic Towns and Tequila Mkaing Tour with Laura. :woohoo: We all plan to stop at Cabo Wabo after the tour(unless we get a lot of tastings).:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Did you like Hancock?

I thought Dark Knight was the best movie so far this summer of that kind.:thumbsup2 You can't compare something like that to Mamma Mia.;) I am glad I did not have to spend money to see Hancock. I love "Will" but a poor script.:sad2:

Thank you Todd, I knew you would have the answer!!

If you can on the ship then I wouldnt see why not on the Island ... Here is two different accounts of me with the ships Jack , and with Rachel CD and Clayton " Hollywood" who is a CD as well (think he will be for one of the New Ships )

Adults are not allowed to wear costumes into the parks (Disney or non-Disney). However the Halloween parties, and Pirate/Princess parties are the exception, as it DCL's Pirate Night. As for Castaway Cay, that's why Todd is working to get it all set up.

OMG I'm with you on that! It does seem the more I get done- the more I realize needs to be done and gets added to the list. The list is getting longer instead of shorter and it's freaking me out a bit. LOL

I'll share my mantra with you:

IWILLNOTFREAKIWILLNOTFREAKIWILLNOTFREAK

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I finally decided that if I don't have it, and can't buy it onboard or in port, then I don't need it. I took very little on the Mexican Riviera...repeated outfits a few times, and got along just fine.

Is anyone bringing 2-radios with them? Wondering how the reception would be with all the metal. Also is anyone bringing extra hangers? I have a bunch of plastic and also cleaner hangers. I seem to remember that there aren't many hangers in the closet.:confused3
We're planning to bring our two-way radios again as we have had good luck with them in the past:cool1: We play with them in the terminal until we get a station that comes in clear and then we pick a backup station in case the chosen one stops working. That worked fine for us on our 2 cruises:confused3 I doubt we will have room for extra hangers, but I would bring some if we did.

ok..I have to go to the dreaded thing and go to weight watchers...

I will let you know how the movie was...

Have a great night everyone..

Good luck:wizard:
