I wanted to put a speedo on him but I couldn't find the frosting effect on PS.

The cruise dreams are back. Roger was at my house showing me how to use Photoshop and we took some underwater pictures in our backyard pool...problem is I don't have a back yard pool.

The deck 2 map looks great. Can't wait to see the rest of the decks.

I am taking 2 bathing suits. I bought a new one the beginning of the summer and I will take my old one as a back up.

I have to get some more FE gifts. I planned on 120, so I just need supplies to make a few more.

This was the weekend of sunburn and broken things. DH took DGS to the air show and even though I gave them sunscreen they are both bright pink. Then DD came home from a day of a boat with friends and she was rather toasty. Good thing I stayed home. Then our George Foreman grill went out (it was a wedding present so it is 8 years old), then the TV wouldn't get a picture and when I went to sign on to DIS IE kept opening new windows on my home page. Fortunately all is well. Kohl's had the George Foreman on sale and I had an additional 30% off (but ended up buying lots of other stuff), a new cable box seemed to fix the TV (DH is disappointed he wanted a new TV) and for now the computer is working. I did end up with 2 new skirt outfits. Not what I was looking for, but I can wear them to work too...and they were on sale. Two skirts, one blouse and one sweater for $35.

Cruise Question

Those of you with small children, what excursions do you plan to do at each of the ports?

Right now we just have plans in Cabo (Family Resort & Pool Escape), PV (Paradise Beach Adventure), and Aruba (Seaworld Exploroer). We have a 3.5yo and a 15mo. and options - through DCL - seem rather limited and I'm not sure I'm that comfortable with some of the choices after reading reviews from WBPC and MR cruisers.

Our kids are 13 & 11 now but when they were that young we used to just get off the ship and have one of the people offering island tours to drive us around. Usually it was only a couple of hours and we could end the tour when we wanted. We could also end it at the beach or back at the ship. Having that option and freedom of not being tied to an excursion was great as we could go at our own pace. Other times we would just take a cab to a beach or into town and walk around for a bit

Laura ....eeyorelvr10...just text me and said the Magic has been stopped for over an hour and had no electricity. She said she just now got phone service. They smell fuel and she is up on deck 4 right now. Anyone know anything?? She is concerned.

Just got word that she is headed back down to her room. Said service is spotty. They have not made any announcements. I gotta leave for work but will let you know if I hear anything when I get there. Laura will keep me updated and I will pass along the info.

Ok...one last post then I gotta get to work. She said it looks like engine trouble. They are just drifting and alot of ship personnel walking around. I gotta go. Will get back on here in about 45 minutes.

I made it to work. Laura text me about 30 minutes ago and said they were moving. The sun was just starting to rise. No word yet on what happened. She also said that she hopes you all dont hold it against her.....Laura boards and breaks the Magic!! ..... that came from her mouth not mine!

Will let you know when I hear something more.

Today is her anniversary....great way to start the day.

Poor Laura! Give her my love, Pam, and tell her happy anniversary as well.

I will Julie....I think she has went back to bed for a while. Lets just hope she doesnt bring this kind of luck with her for this cruise and the 5 nighter after it!! We will for sure blame it on her then!

Good morning everyone. I haven't posted in a while. Trying to catch up. I hope I have PM'd everyone my room # that needs it.

Been busy with the boys. Got DH and boys off on their camping trip yesterday. I will join them on Thursday. I have to work and didn't want to use any vacation time. I also need some 'alone' shopping time to get things for TOAL. DS4 is always with me, even though he is a good shopper - shopping is a lot easier without him.

Panic is starting to set in. So much to do!

I get to work from home today so it will be a DIS day. Yeah!

Bummer start to the week - DS9 woke up sick this morning (headache, upset stomach, no fever). He was supposed to go over to Fermilab this morning for the first day of a class called "noodlin with Newton". It is 2 hours per day for 3 days. I don't know yet if the days build on each other or not.

I'm letting him rest for now, but in a while I'm going to drag him into the office with me (plus of working for the family business) since I have a lot to get done there. Hopefully, he'll feel better by this evening for his swimming lesson.

Crash, I have to ask if you are in CA. I can't help but notice how everyone in the pictures at the playground has jackets on. People who have been to CA in the summer tell me that it will be different than here in NC in August but I never imagined anyone needing even a light jacket during the day in July.

I don't think it's every been substantiated, but it is repeated a lot that Mark Twain once said "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."

I will have to pass this info to my sister & BIL who love to get a pin at every Hard Rock they travel by. Are there any other's during our trip? I know they got one when we were on the Magic in 05 thru the Mex. Riviera, but I don't recall what port it was from.

There are Hard Rock Cafes in Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco and Cartagena. I'm hoping to get to most of them. The only one that is going to be tough to get to is Acapulco because of the short amount of time there and the Hard Rock is not near the port.

Only Deck 2 was done so far. Mike's waiting on a few room numbers to finish.

Right. And the deck 2 plan will have some changes, so don't save that sample that I posted. I had 2 more GTY's that were assigned to deck 2, and one pirate family moving to another deck (congrats on getting the non-existant room Terri!)

I'm giving people through this weekend to sign up for the roster and get me their room numbers. Once they're all done, I'll get together with M and Pamela to find out where they're going to post the Pirate Navigator for downloading and printing, so we can keep it all together in one place. And we'll be sure to let y'all know where it is!

Glad they ar emoving now..hope it isn't anything serious.

I have some friends on board and this is their first cruise ever...she didn't even want to go on a cruise and her family talked her into it..maybe my friend was sleeping and missed the whole thing!
