Checked UPS again today......still no docs for me

I'm guessing it's like the room assignments - they don't load them all in one day - so they don't print and ship all the doc's in one day. Hopefiully yours will be on the way shortly!

I'm sure there is some method, but they certainly aren't going in the order of room assignments. I had a room assignment by 8:20 a.m. (Eastern) on 01/31/07. 4:20 a.m. Alaska time.

Just read this on the trip report thread. Looks like they were on the Magic last week. I think I am glad we are not going to Cabo Wabo.

I was on this cruise too with my family. It was Norovirus. I had it so bad that I needed bags of IV fluid and my arms are a MESS from them blowing the veins. I had a shot in my rear for nausea, and was so weak I needed a wheelchair to get to the health center. My husband and son also got it, and we were quarantined. It is confirmed that it came from the restaurant Cabo Wabo in Cabo San Lucas.
I have NEVER been so sick in my life, and I will NEVER go back to Mexico. Not like we ate in a dive - that restaurant is very "Americanized" and owned by Sammy Hagar.

Not sure how they 'confirmed it' but that's what we were told by numerous staff members (nurse, doctor, and our two wait staff). Who knows - maybe they're just saying that so they can push off the blame... :-(

We go to Cabo Wabo everytime and have never had a problem..I wonder how they have confirmed it's from Cabo Wabo?

Sounds like people had the flu and that ship personnel said it was a flu that was picked up in Mazatlan or PV...who knows..hopefully it will be gone soon!

Has anyone heard from Laura? Is the ship doing better?

I'm on a Yahoo Van Halen board who's members are big fans of Sammy Hagar. They say that there have been many instances of people getting sick after dining at Cabo Wabo.

Today I am picking up one of my students from my classroom last year and taking him to the movies (Alvin and the Chipmunks - its FREE) and out to lunch. His mom does not drive and is mildly retarded so the kids never get to go anywhere EVER! Myself and his sister's teacher worked with their caseworker & their mom to make this happen and I am so excited to expose him to some things that otherwise he would not be able to experience.

I think Discruiser (Kim) is the only one who should be affected. Us in the Dallas area would love to at least have some precipitation from this.
My poor next door neighbors are right where landfall is this week. It is their 1st vacation in a long time and this is what they encounter. I was trying to talk them into going to WDW.

Of course my dad picks this month to move down to the Valley (McAllen!). We told him that he is only supposed to live there during the Winter!

Yay we should get our docs on Thursday! Geez I've been gone a day and a half and you guys did like 20 pages! Geez! We visited the GI doc (a brand new one to us) and he ordered all sorts of tests on DD to rule stuff out. Keep your fingers crossed for us that they all come back normal!

DS8's tux jacket is way too big, but the pants fit. I took him to the tailor and it is going to be less $$ to just buy a smaller tux and mix and match the jacket and pants.

So what did I just do???

I bid on a size 6 tux with freaking tails! Not a normal jacket. Tails! Ugh.
I really, really, really hope someone outbids me in the next 10 hours.

ABOLUTELY WONDERFUL NEWS!

Now, I'm getting excited.

As a lot of you know, I am staying on board for the 5-Day cruise after our Repo cruise.

When I booked that cruise, I booked into a room and requested the same room for the Repo as well, but was given GTY status.

Well, when the GTY's were assigned last week, I ended up in 6632. I thought, DRAT (actually, was a bit stronger than that! ), I'm going to have to move.

There were a couple offers of room swaps, but speaking with my travel agent (DVC) and DCL, they made it sound like it would be easier to build and maintain an ice rink in hell rather than change rooms on the Repo cruise.

So, we began to go to work on the 5 day cruise. Just today, I was told that my room number for the 5-Day cruise was switched to 6632, so I can remain in my room and not have to pack and move to another when we get into PC on September 1st. I'm psyched!

Just wanted to share that happy news with you!

Didn't Laura say something about it being slow loading on Sunday? She got to terminal at 2 and there were a lot of people still waiting to board?

If that is so, it would be consistent with a "port decon" where they spend extra time wiping down all the surfaces on the ship, etc. after Norwalk or similar virus

Boy it's been a busy day on the thread. And I've been busy, too. Got a couple more things crossed off my "ToDo" list, but ended up adding a couple too. Biggest one, I found another formal to match the shoes I'm taking. (After years of being a road warrior, I learned to pick shoes first then match outfits to them so I don't have to carry a suitcase filled with footwear.) I also informed the preschool that DS & DD will miss most of first week of school so don't schedule them to be responsible for snacks that week. I'd hate the for the classmates to go hungry.

Got an email from Zazzle that they are reprinting my MMC shirt. The style I originally chose for myself would barely fit a pencil - and that was the 2XL size.

I can't believe TOAL is only 3 1/2 weeks away. EEEK!!!! (That sounds so much closer than 25 days.)
