I so thought we were starboard.
Okay well why do people keep talking about visiting someone that is starboard, pictures are taken on starboard side, etc?
Great- one time we get verandah and we get the wrong side. LOL

The starboard side is supposed to be the side where the people of Panama will wave when we go thru...wether the photogs are on both sides for pictures is the debate.

As for visiting..there is a list of people who have donated their verandahs on PC day to visit to see those sides. There is of course always on deck to view as well.

Oh behalf of Coral, Lisa, and myself...any Gold Awards??

I was thinking the same thing. Actually I was going to make some smart add comment like "I guess you have so many Eagle Scouts since it is so much easier to get that vs the Gold Award".

Well we're out of the lifeboats as well. But now I'm worried... Room number 2021... DH wears earplugs and sleeps under a pillow and still wakes when the dogs pad across the carpet at night (even with a fan running)... And the 18mo old isn't much better... How bad is it really??

Well granted that does not sound the greatest but I hope it is not as bad as it seems.
I sleep every night w/ the bathroom fan on to block sounds. I looked forever for a sound machine that sounded like a fan but finally resorted to a small fan my Mom got me for sound. I will just leave it there when I leave.

Just heard from Disney Weddings....

Our ceremony has been moved to 4:00 p.m.!!!

Now I feel better...as the photographer is doing the extra pictures after the ceremony. We don't have to eat in the buffet!

So 5 hours later and I'm still waiting for the phone call to actually schedule the interview for tomorrow.

The person I spoke with acted as if it were a certainty that an interview would be scheduled. But now I'm wondering if the hiring manager had a different opinion.

HMMM, we're a family of 4. We have never stayed in a 12, so the only advice I can offer is run 'em ragged during the day so they sleep at night!

Seriously, maybe a travel-size white noise machine?? I personally can't stand them, but a white noise machine is how my FIL worked & slept in cop shifts for 30 years. DH grew up in a 1000-ish sq. foot house, so every little noise is really loud all over that house!

How do you "run ragged" on a cruise ship? Specially since the 18mo old will be napping a lot (she still sleeps like 16 hours/day!)

Got Palo's Private Dining!!​

We got Saturday August 23 at 10:30!!! I had asked for Tuesday but I didn't get it. I really wanted Saturday(was my first choice) but really believed I would never get a Saturday.

Seriously...............I wish I could have invited hundreds to celebrate with me.

We are looking forward to dining with all of you!

Right now the Dreams OBCs are based on category and the division is verandah and non-verandah. The Category 3 OBC would be the same as the Category 4.

Not as exciting as Cheryl's news but... I showed DD these a couple of months back..thought they would be fun for deck parties.. unfortunately they were between $2-3 each..so I told her I would get her 2 only..looked on Ebay..won 24for just over 6.00 .. figured she could hand some out to her new friends...

I was just the project away from getting my gold... I've been kicking myself ever since. But our troop disolved long before, our council was awful and very unsupportive and my parents and I had no idea what I could do for the project

I really have to get more organized. Every night I add new dreams/nightmares. I have to thank all my fellow cruisers that brought food over the other night to share in my HUGE fantasy kitchen, and stayed the night in my HUGE beautiful house the night before the cruise. (It was the dream ).
I still have left printing door signs, labeling FE gifts, trying on and putting together outfits for all of us and I am sure a lot more.
I got the basics- cruise paid for, onboard fund funded, received my rewards card, have passports, housesitter, transportation to and from airport in all ports and home, hotel in San Pedro. Everything else may or may not happen.

I was brave enough to lay out some clothes to see what I have vs need. I am not doing as bad as I expected. The formal night is still an issue as my dress can be zipped - but I can't breathe or sit down.
THIS IS A JOKE AND NOT MEANT TO BE SERIOUS (LET'S SEE IF THAT WORKED) but.... If I did get food poisoning or a touch of salmonella I would at least drop a few lbs. The sickest I have ever been is when I got food poisoning idea: bit I did lose a lot of weight.

What kind of long sleeve shirt and/or jacket is everyone bringing? I know air conditioning can be cool inside but I am not sure if I really need a jacket. Thoughts?

I just use one of the many wraps I bought on the ship...... You know the ones that are like $10. ALthough I do have a few more expensive ones I use that are Ann Taylor!

Not an upgrade but I can live with it. My counter is under 30 - 5 weeks today we leave for DL. I'm just a bit excited - okay a whole lot excited.....
