So, I finally got into the DCL site, and got one of those ressies that have freed up. Not a great time, 8/31 at 7, but, I didn't think a 9pm reservation would work with kids in the kids club.

Check back every so often, too. Something else may open up and you may find a time you like better.

If you don't mind me asking...was it quite costly to have someone design this? Do they do the design and send it to you to print?

No.. they do not charge.. They will post the design on the boards or pm you the design.. Everyone is willing to help you...

I read through the info on design tips, and how to...most of which I had no idea what they were talking about. I knew I wasn't too computer savy...just didn't know how bad I really was.

Heard from our TA..DCL told her that the cabins on our deck (7) in her Cat are still all GTY..they have her req but at this time..no go...

BTW, the dining coordinator told me that Marco will be the manager of Palo for the crossing since he was my first choice for server. PJ will be on vacation. Also, I asked about the fact that her email said:

That is actually a better time for dinner on the last night. You don't want to be in there too late so that you can attend the Till we meet again in the atrium and it gives you time to get the last of the luggage in the hall before dinner.

I did read it and knew about PJ but didn't know that Marco would be the head honcho. It will be nice to still be able to see him. That guy is pretty busy. LOL!

Those machines are very sensitive. Most 20 dollar bills in your wallet would also pop positive.

They don't like damp swimsuits and towels either. We had ours in plastic bags in a duffle last trip. (We had just been to TL and then packed the bags).

The bag with the suits got the "love note". Oh yeah that and the one that had my bags of protein powder in them.

That happened to us on our second cruise...with MY bag. I hated wearing jeans in the dining room.

Which is precisely why my garment bag always comes with me as carry on.

Says I needed to have a 1 week waiting period before I can file...my first claim was dated 6/28, my last day of employment was 6/20....

They're not counting any vacation time you may have recieved on a final check are they? Wonder if that could make a difference?

I have a telephone interview with UE peeps tomorrow at 1.

Is everyone still doing the cliff divers excursion? I'm wondering if we should bother paying that much after the reports of it from others. But then there really isn't anything ELSE to do with such a short, and early, time there!

I don't know if this has been discussed yet, but are any of you doing any excursions at this port? DW and I are considering doing one here and leaving DD and DS in the kids club.

We are all going. I have read extensively on Cruise Critic on the port of Colombia and I do not have any hesitation taking my 8 yo and 12 yo DD with us. I do not want to lose an opportunity to have my kids experience another country and continent.

At first we were going to stay on the ship and skip this port altogether, but after reseraching and reading cruise critic I am excited to see this port.

Well I've always noticed that cops do a lot of things that the rest of us can't....

I am...I am getting nail treatments for my special day. I was going to do it at home but was afraid I would chip them with packing an dmoving stuff...so I get to do them on the ship...only down side..one appt is at 4ish and the other is after dinner..oh well!
