:sad2: I feel like Charlie Brown with his "I got a rock." :sad2:

:sad1: No cabin assignment for me, yet. :sad1:

:scared: What if they DO make me take a lifeboat?! :scared:

 I'm getting an upset stomach waiting.

:surfweb: I guess I sit and wait. :surfweb:

I'm sorry Fr. Mike - hopefully you'll get yours before too much more time has passed. I know that I was checking mine every 15-30 minutes this afternoon and then suddenly I got a message that I couldn't acces the ressie because either there was a problem with their system or someone in my party was accessing the ressie. I was really surprised when I was able to get in and there was the number - I actually almost scrolled right past it!

Thanks Monica! DH was worried about too much noise or traffice but the room reports I read said that it wasn't too bad.

I really think DS is going to like it - OC practically right outside his door.

The only time in 2 weeks that we had an issue with noise was when some of the STs decided to play poker in the elevator hall. That didn't last long because one of the neighboring cabins shooed them off. And it wasn't even late at night or anything, so it didn't bother me too much.

OK... I gotta go now....

Is this why the rum is always gone?:rotfl2:

I know that my DH has a cell phone that he uses in the cruiser for work. As a supervisor, there are certain times that they can't broadcast info over the radio so they have to call him. Police officers are highly trained in automobile safety, high speed driving, obstacle course driving, etc. unlike the average citizen, so that might be a factor. ;)

We have a Police :drive: Obstacle/Driving Course just up the street form us. The cops come from all over to use it, as well as the firing range.

Gotta run...

With DD away, DH wants some alone time :rolleyes1

Gotta shut computer off...

See ya on the next thread....

:lovestruc Love, love, love Marco!!!! We were fortunate enough to have Marco and his brother Salvatore on our cruise in 2002. Salvatore was our server but Marco couldn't stay away from our table and kept coming over to try to get his brother in "trouble". We had such a fantastic evening with the two of them telling stories on each other and giving clues about their life growing up. They even arranged a second dinner for us as a surprise, still have no idea why they did that :confused3

Michelle

Same thing as our 2004 cruise. Salvatore was our server in the rotation and Marco at Palo. They are adorable :goodvibes

My DBIL is a cop. So is my DSB.

Both have been injured several times in the line of duty.

Actually both were hit by drunk drivers also while responding to a call. Drunks never saw the flashing lights or heard sirens.... DUH

DSB's squad car was rolled into a cemetary. He came really close to dying in that one.

My Dbil was out of duty for over a year for his accident. First had an operation for broken leg. Once that healed they gave him a second operation for his shoulder. Same DBIL has a permanant scar from injury on duty.

Yeah they have it made alright. :sad2:

Un-Employment

Scary times for the cops....yikes....glad they eventually were all right.

Darn. And here I was getting happy for you. Thought it was a real interview. I did all my stuff online so didn't even think about anyone having an interview with them.

And all my frustration from this morning was all my fault. Didn't read the letter right, they didn't deny the week of 6/28, they denied the week ending 6/28. But it still confused me because I never asked for or expected a check for that week. But as soon as I saw 'denied' on the letter I got upset.

I just love to collect the craft supplies.:woohoo: I buy directly from Darice which gets me even in more trouble because I have to buy in Bulk.:rolleyes1 I have not had a chance to craft much.........until after this cruise.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

What kind of crafts do you like to do Cheryl? I used to design teddy bears before I went back to work. Just don't have the time,or desire really,to do it anymore.

That sounds great! So lets carry on the GS activities and have the badge work right after the patch swap! I'm guessing that would make it around 10:00 or 10:30.

That was what I was thinking would make sense. But I could not recall who was putting the badge work stuff together.

My guest bedroom has things and bags all over... My in laws came this past weekend and we gave them our room..DH and I slept on the floor in the exercise room...

I had a day care interview last week for a fall opening. I was just waiting for that day becuase I knew after that I could take over the playroom, and I did. There was stuff strewn everywhere.

Then a couple of my daycare kids came Sunday for an impromto visit. Well, I have a half done banner with pitcures and lettering everywhere, all my toiletries in piles (including meds) all over the floor, scissors - you name it. Had to clean it all in about 40 seconds...the time it took for them to run from the front door to the playroom

I have clothes laid out in just about every room!

Debi, I have things hanging up, in baskets, on chairs - just about any available surface! DH thinks I'm completely nuts but I keep telling him that he will thank me for all this when we get on board and unpack and realize that we DIDN'T forget his belt, tie, and dress socks this time:thumbsup2.

Sure..you can sit right here next to those of us waiting to hear on our suite upgrades...:rotfl:

Wow..only 10 hours on a 15 day? I had no idea it was that limited

Yeah and also 10 hours on a 3 day.... Does something sound a bit strange to anyone??

We are still going...not crazy about the reports that came back, but like you said, there are not a whole lot of options at this port due to the time

We're still doing the cliff divers too... That seems to be THE thing to see there.

Oh, Like having people shoot at you, or the joy of spending Christmas Morning at some macabre crime scene instead of at home with their family, or every cop's favorite, telling a parent their child was killed in a car accident. Yeah those cops got it made.

Not a silly post at all. The news in Orange County reported that the highway patrol gave out 1000s of tickets on July 1st (day 1) in OC alone! I have seen people being pulled over a couple of times on city streets as well. They mean business. This only applies to the driver, so someone else in the car can be on a cell phone.

Yeah they have it made alright. :sad2:

Hey I didn't mean any disrespect by what I said (someone quoted me). I don't envy the job or the families... Overall I have a lot of respect for Police and firemen. I do lose some respect with how much I see an officer doing 90 on the interstate or speeding through other areas without lights/sirens though...

CONGRATS to all of you that got your cabin assignments today.....hopefully everybody else will have theirs tomorrow

this might be a good year to go in 2009 since dcl is going nowhere special in 2009

I agree 2009 would be a good time to go on an ABD if the 7nt cruises don't appeal.
I am looking forward to reading the detailed information for the new ones when they are released

It is also a good way to see some of Alaska the Disney way since we don't know if they will ever make it there with one of the ship
Maybe this is the way they are going to test the waters for Alaska for a future cruise?

I have a telephone interview with UE peeps tomorrow at 1.

Pray for me Fr. Mike, please :worship:

I will too, K!

BTW....what did you work out with your mom? Or was it your mil? Who was it that bagged on you?
