For all of you creative folks out there, could anyone list some links or programs that they used to make their door sign? I am so challenged in this department, it is unreal.

We have that law in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. And really it's a stupid law. First, it doesn't stop people from using their cell phones while driving... We drive by people driving stupid all the time only to realize they're talking on the phone (and holding it up to their ear). Plus studies have shown the real danger is just the fact that the driver is talking to someone who isn't in the car... When drivers talk to people in the car, the conversation will pause when something weird happens on the road so that the driver can pay attention. If someone is on a cell phone (even a hands free), they pay less attention to what's going on around them. Also it's just as dangerous to be eating or drinking or shaving or applying makeup while driving, but those are not illegal. In fact, it would be difficult to make those illegal....

OK...first off..let me start with a disclaimer! If we do not reach the total number needed (100) - I will not be able to do this...

I am getting PM's that people are still looking for lanyards..the last order took 3 weeks to get so we are cutting this close...if you would like to order lanyards...send me a PM and I will add you to the list. Your cost will be $1.50 - $2.00 (depends on the count) (sorry - I know prev they were 1.00 but that was because we went over 250 and I don't see that happening again)

I can only take orders until this Thursday night - I have to order by Friday to get the lanyards in. Keep yor fingers crossed and thoghts of pixie dust that these come in quick and correct!

So...I am taking one more lanyard order... and wil let you know if I was able to place the order..we would need to get to 100 and I am currently at 10 so I am not promising anything.

I need in your PM the total amount you need (please consider $2 each so that if is less -- you are happier!) and your cabin number (if you are gty - please send as soon as your have) the lanyard includes a plastic pouch for your name tag/KTTW card

That happened to us on our second cruise...with MY bag. I hated wearing jeans in the dining room. I had a black long sleeved polo type top with brown sandals. UGH!!! This was before jeans were okay. The kids looked great that night though. I had to put in a lost bag report. Now we walk up and down the hall we are in to make sure our bags haven't been left at the wrong room. We found one of them last cruise on our way to the drill. When I pointed it out to DH a CM asked which one and put it in our room for us.

I will be wearing my black POTC shirt this time.

Can't believe 18 months went by so quickly!

We already pulled out the suitcases yesterday and started packing. Boy do we have alot of stuff. Haven't reached panic mode yet.

Hope everyone is doing well.

I have a just in case this happens bag packed. As I get older the bag gets larger. I am even carrying ankle and knee braces Just in case!!

I know this is probably a silly post....but it occured to me as I was reading a news story this morning.

If you are renting a car here in CA for your visit...we just had a law passed that you can not use your cell phone (not even to pick it up to dial and then use an ear piece) while driving. You need to pull over.

The only reason I bring this up is it is a really new law (just went into effect on July 1st) and if you had been here before and used your phone..you wouldn't necessarily know.

They are giving out tickets like crazy here...the CHP gave out over 2500 the first two weeks. Wouldn't want anyone to start their vacation off with a ticket

Anyways...just an FYI.

When we went to pick my wedding band, I couldn't find one that I really liked. During the process, the sales person helping us said that his wife has multiple bands that she swaps out based on her outfit, mood, etc. I turned to my FI and said, "See...if we can't find "the perfect band" we can try again next year." Isn't the motto if at once you don't succeed, try, try again? He wasn't as amused as the sales person and I were. Wonder why?!

The double-standard that is set is aggravating. Oh well...if it keeps us all just a little safer on the roads, I'm for it.

Mine has done that, too, and it usually is because it overheated. And the darn thing is brand new basically. I ended up doing what you did....and after I recharged and turned it back on, it's okay.

Back it up, girl!!!! External hard drive! LOL! DH has one External HD that is dedicated to just music! LOL! He trades with friends from every where!!! Anyone interested in about 500 songs in Spanish???

Still debating....part of me wants to cancel to save the $$$ after the WB reviews, but it is Acapulco afterall and it's probably the only time I'll ever be there. Anone else.

I too think our FE looks awesome as June did a great job with it. When she told me she was going to add embelishments, I had no idea what she was talking about. And now someone not only knows she uses embelishments, but the name brand! Too funny!

Really?? Is DCL the only cruise line that lets you do that? I could swear the others take it til the last night. But then, DCL is the only one to let us bring it onboard at the beginning of the cruise, too.

I know that NCL & RCCL sure don't let you bring it either at the beginning or at port. Carnival does, however, allow one bottle of wine or champagne per person to be brought on board at embarkation, but not at ports of call.

They both creep me out (though I love them!)!

Clothing Question:


I have a pair of Very Dark Denim bermuda shorts (ok on me they are not really shorts-they go about 1.5-2 inches below my knee).

Can I wear these to dinner with a nice top? They are the dark "Dressy" wash?
I know it doesn't matter but I want to be appropriately dressed!

Sorry don't like gummy bears. They seem gooey to me.

Hopefully, a lot of us will be able to pick them up at the terminal so you have fewer to deal with on board! Have you considered getting someone on each pirate bus to distribute/collect cash during the drive? I don't think there are lists yet of who is on which bus, but once that is available that might be a way to spread out the work....

I meant to reply to BIP earlier, but we are still doing the cliff divers and city tour (the shorter of 2). 1/2 tempted to go on our own, but figure DCL is less hassle.

I just love to collect the craft supplies. I buy directly from Darice which gets me even in more trouble because I have to buy in Bulk. I have not had a chance to craft much.........until after this cruise.

I do more damage when I don't know what I want, than when I do! When I'm looking for something specific I never seem to find it. DD sometimes gets this look on her face--Your dragging me into another craft store!

I have 2 engagement rings & 2 wedding bands because I
ended up not really liking my first set after a while. Now I'm working on number 3 so I can have gold or silver depending on what I'm wearing!

I know that my DH has a cell phone that he uses in the cruiser for work. As a supervisor, there are certain times that they can't broadcast info over the radio so they have to call him. Police officers are highly trained in automobile safety, high speed driving, obstacle course driving, etc. unlike the average citizen, so that might be a factor.
