Now I'm the opposite. I loved Gene Wilder, and thought johnny Depp was creepy. It was like he was channeling Michael Jackson or something.

That is EXACTLY what I said when I saw the movie - I like Johnny Depp but felt like after I saw that movie..I need to take a shower or something (and not a cold one)

Did you book your flights with Disney? If you did you should have them at the 30 day mark or call the air sea department and inquire.

I brought wine on board in Spain last year. Just had the bottles in my backpack and nothing was said.

The bottles you buy from the duty free shop on ship are kept until the last day, but what you bring on at the port you can keep. You just have to drink it all, you can't take open bottles off the ship.

On the MR I had 2 open bottles and 2 unopened bottles that I packed in my rollng cooler and took off the ship - no problems. Did the same a couple of years ago. BUT - wouldn't know how to pack an opened bottle to take on a plane!!

We have never gotten our luggage before the drill. It would be great to be able to get organized so quickly.

Right - not all the luggage - just get settled - but so far I've got all my luggage not long after getting to our room.

DH is scared of oompa loomas. Like run out of the room when they are on TV scared. He watched WW when he was home sick as a kid and must have had fever induced oompa loompa halucinations.

I love the people holding the phone with one hand and gesturing as they talk with the other.

When I said that my ds would like to attend Steubenville when he is a little older, I should have clarified that I meant the youth conference. He plans to get a degree in computer animation one day. As luck would have it Ohio State has a great program in that! Although, I think that would be really cool to take a class taught by Dr. Scott Hahn at Franciscan University!

When we went to pick my wedding band, I couldn't find one that I really liked. During the process, the sales person helping us said that his wife has multiple bands that she swaps out based on her outfit, mood, etc. I turned to my FI and said, "See...if we can't find "the perfect band" we can try again next year." Isn't the motto if at once you don't succeed, try, try again? He wasn't as amused as the sales person and I were. Wonder why?!

DH talks about replacing my engagement/wedding set & I won't let him!
It is much smaller than, well, pretty much all the rings I inherited - but hey, we were young, we had no money & that his the ring he proposed to me with and that is the ring he said his vows with, sothose are the rings I'll never take off.

The thing I might do is replace the center stone in my engagement ring. I have a 3+ carat ring from my grandmother with 3 big diamonds in it. I told my 2 brothers that they could each have one of the diamonds for engagement rings. Of course this ensures that I will be the first to know when they want to get married! One brother already has his diamond, so I can't wear the ring anymore (too big real-estate-wise for my finger anyway) & it's been 6-7 years that I haven't figured out what to do with my diamond.

DD would tell you that I live in craft stores! I know manufacturers better since I starting getting Paper Crafting Magazine. I like Rusty Pickle stuff too! It's hard to have a 40% off coupon from Mike's or Joann's and not use them!

I think I found some Rusty Pickles the last time I cleaned out my fridge.

Maybe others carry on more than we do I dont think one can really "get settled" in the room with nothing to unpack. Out of 3 cruises, on 2 we didn't have luggage until after the lifeboat drill. On the 3rd it showed up just as we were leaving for the lifeboat drill.

I checked..but more out of concern truthfully...I mean..they are not going to upgrade us to a suite and we are happy with the cabin we picked..so I keep checking to make sure they haven't moved us.

Now see, why is that not illegal?? I guess there aren't enough people that do it to warrant a law on that one...

A couple days after the law went in to effect, I watched a cop, talking on his cell phone, pull over another driver for talking on their phone. Maybe it was "work" related for the cop, but still. The double-standard that is set is aggravating. And I think having to use my hands-free is sometimes more distracting since I have to hold the phone up sometimes to get better reception if there's outside interference. Oh well...if it keeps us all just a little safer on the roads, I'm for it.

Well I've always noticed that cops do a lot of things that the rest of us can't....

I use Photoshop (expensive) but I understand that paint.net is very similar and a free download.


So everyone was asking last night for a clear background on the banner... Something like this?

It doesn't look great (I'm wondering if the original designer can do a clear background...). Maybe I can spend more time on it this afternoon when DD is napping (Hard to do anything precise with her on my lap LOL). Also, I can't figure out how to save it in anything other than a photoshop file.

That happened to us on our second cruise...with MY bag. I hated wearing jeans in the dining room. I had a black long sleeved polo type top with brown sandals. UGH!!! This was before jeans were okay. The kids looked great that night though. I had to put in a lost bag report. Now we walk up and down the hall we are in to make sure our bags haven't been left at the wrong room. We found one of them last cruise on our way to the drill. When I pointed it out to DH a CM asked which one and put it in our room for us.

On our first land/Cruise one of our suitcases (with mine & youngest dd's clothes in it) went on the ship while I went to the hotel...... It took 2 days to get my suitcase..... Disney bought us several nice things...including a new Princess dress (with shoes and accessories!) for dd......

Is everyone still doing the cliff divers excursion? I'm wondering if we should bother paying that much after the reports of it from others. But then there really isn't anything ELSE to do with such a short, and early, time there!

No Pamela we are really going to cancel the excursion(the one with out the extra shopping). We just never got around to it. Maybe the day or night I cancel I could give it to someone on the thread that would really like it. The fort sounds like a plan and we could maybe just pick-up any others that would like to walk there!! Let's just hope there are no storms but I will have my Mickey ponchos with just in case.

That is when I get in trouble too. And I plan on stopping by Hobby Lobby on my way home tonight. I need some retail therapy. It has been a rough week at work... and it is only Tuesday.

Stephanie and Cheryl, I think I finally met your match. We had a new employee start yesterday and boy can she talk your ear off. I am the HR Rep for this office and when I showed her around the office it took almost 2 hours. I usually do the tour in 45 minutes. She is a very nice woman, but I had work to get done. I still have to take her photo for her ID badge and I am afraid I won't make it out of her cube before the day is over.
