BTW Do we have a Fred cruising with us????? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I had an imaginary friend named Fred as a kid..maybe he's coming?:lmao:

We got one too and I'm planning to bring it with us and probably ditch it at the airport or ship it home! We'll see. Anyone know if there's a UPS store close to the airport? I'll share if anyone else needs it to check luggage before we get off the ship. I'm assuming we're going to have extra weight with souvenirs from the different ports!

There is one (I needed to find one too) pretty close to the airport..maybe 10 min away....seems to be right off the hwy!

(BTW thanks for the help offers!)

And also, please forgive me for just a moment, but I want to say again that if I am not myself lately, I just wanted you to know about this....and to pray for this girl's family, and that of my friend.
I also apoligize for being out of whack....past, present and future.

Just sending a

My favourite Sister Scissors is a toss up between "Kiss you off" and "Land of a Thousand Words" - just love turning it up loud and singing along. I do feel sorry for the neighbours though.

My favourite Mika song is "Love Today" because it just makes we want to dance. I also like "Big Girl (You are Beautiful)" because its just so darn catchy!

Checkout the Sugababes if you aren't familiar with them - they are great catchy songs too. :)

Love those Mika songs too!
My boss and I before the kids arrive sometimes turn the songs on and it makes our before work work go by quicker!

What song do you suggest for Sugababes?

HAPPY 11TH BIRTHDAY CHRISTOPHER

That be Tom31b's DS

pirate: 'ing for HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

YES!!!! I am kind of freaking...my next big thing that I have to get through is that my DH is having a grill out at our house on Thursday. He recently had a reorg of staff and has all new people, most of whom I have never met. We need new carpet and a few furniture pieces for our patio/deck and I have to weed the veggie garden and reorg our den and Living room. AND plan a menu, drinks etc. That is the last thing that has an important deadline on it before the TOAL. So, I will work on that then it is nothing but pre trip panic! :)

That reminds me. We also have our family reunion between now and the TOAL and we are host family. I have done pathetically little. We have the reunions every summer-just a different location. I think people are going to be pleased it will be another 3 years before we have it in Dallas again. :rotfl2:

When my kids were little, I made them beaded necklaces with their name and our cell phone number. They knew to show it to a CM if they got lost.

Not sure what cell service will be like, so I think I'm getting them dog tags with their name, one of our cell #s, and both sets of grandparents phone #. That way if they get lost, we have a central point of contact.

Someone has posted something like these ages ago (Crash maybe?)

If we're in a Cat 8 with a porthole and not a verandah, is there any point in making a banner or sign for PC day? I don't know if it would even get seen. We're still GTY so I have no idea what deck we're on or if it's even worth it. If we do make something, how big can it be? No where on the DCL site is there a size for the portholes in the Cat 8's. Thanks!

YES! Reality, anxiety, stress levels rising, OMG moments everyday! Not only are we packing and preparing for the TOAL, but we're planning and preparing for our wedding too. I'm excited and all, but this is 2 HUGE things to plan for! I'm going to need some anxiety meds before the next 5 weeks is over! :scared1:

Relax and make sure you stop every once in a while to enjoy....

Breathe....:)

Thanks Chrissie. And you're welcome! The offer still stands if you need anything. I can print and laminate with the best of them if needed! It also gets my mind off the wedding stuff! ;)

Doreen i got mine from Ebay about a month ago...

It was only 9 bucks for 15 sheets (which included shipping fees)

So went and got remeasure for my wedding dress...now the order is official placed (though the dress is already paid for!)

My "consultant" who I have seen (including today) 2 times of the 6 I have been there..informed me tomorrow was her last day...at least the Manager of the salon will be taking me as a client...

I have had a headache for the past week..don't know if its the heat, sinuses or my wisdom teeth...I really dislikes headaches....

I want to thank everyone for all the work you are doing- organizing, planning, running, or just being friendly...whether we are involved in your activity or not thank you....Cyber meeting all of you (and some in person) I feel is going to make this trip so much better, It will be like having a 15 day party with extended family! So thankyou!

Chrissie

Thanks...me too. But I'm even MORE glad that no one else in the family got sick. I can handle ME being sick.....I hate it when they are. Know what I mean?

ITA! I'm OK with me being sick, but DH or DD is not good....

I guess I might not have told everyone, or it may have been missed. This is a link to what happened. My friend owns the house, her son lives there and the young woman who was killed was his roommate...not girlfriend by any means...just roommate.

So I watched the video and love how they said "She did not live alone here"

:grouphug: Good luck today!

Nowadays I get pretty extreme with meat preparation - the real problem if stuff is cooked propertly is contamination after the fact.

So basically as soon as the meat is put on the grill, every utensil and plate that I use before the food is cooked gets thrown into the dishwasher, packaging is tossed and the surface area cleaned, and I wash my hands, etc. If I use a spatula to turn the burgers, I'll clean them (or if BBQ hold it over the hottest part of the heat) after the first turning to make sure it's cleaned from the previous contact with raw meat.

I'm even more careful with chicken (salmonella can be just as unpleasant as E.Coli).

It does make for extra dishes and trash, but I think it makes a difference.

We always wash the spatula in between as well and as soon as the food is outside, I clean the counters and whatever dishes we had (or throw them in the dishwasher).

I have had food poisoning once... on our last trip to WDW  Was so fun being stuck in our all-star room, DH and I taking turns with the bathroom (at least we could take turns... others in our party weren't so lucky... I have a different view of using the ice bucket now...) and taking care of DD1 who was sick anyway....

For some reason I am starting to get panicky about the next 5 weeks.
Being on vacation a couple of weeks ago really showed me that my "back-ups" are just not "up-to-speed". I came back to a lot of issues I had to end up taking over. That means that I am going to have to work way more the next 5 weeks to get the particuraly needy clients taken care of so they can last w/ out me for 2 weeks. I normally work part-time so that is out for a while.
I had the idea last night of laying out the outfits for the girls and taking digital pictures of them. That way even though I cannot pack their clothes now, it will make it easier when I do pack. Print out a sheet of the outfits and put them in the suitcase.
My house/animal sitter called and said she will not be here on the day we leave. She is bringing over her friend that will take over for her that day but she was our ride to the airport so now that is gone. We are debating asking a neighbor (who has offered many, many times) or get a Super Shuttle.
I am still working on clothes and the cool door signs may be a "no-go". Also, I have no fish extender.
Is reality hitting anyone else about now? :scared:

Well since we just booked <2mo ago, yeah we're trying to figure out everything to pack still... I have no idea what we're going to do for an FE... Maybe just a bag of some sort...

With respect to SW, I think we're okay for fees for quite a while as their current ad program is "Freedom from Fees". Also, since they don't have a hub and spoke style flight schedule, they very rarely change or cancel flight times. I've flown on them for years and have never had them change a flight time on me. I've actually flown them from Orlando to Denver with less than 10 people on board just because they had to get the plane to Denver to pick up the next set of passengers.

Very true about SW's new motto.

DH worked for a luggage handler at OIA and remember the handlers have to lift each piece thru the xray machine and then onto the luggage carrier,so if it is overweight it just makes the job harder.

QUOTE]

I always thought it was also partly OSHA... I know OSHA has maximum lifting weights.

We have a bank by us (Commerce Bank) that has a free change counting machine and you don't have to have an account to use it.

I agree... Try the bank and save some time! Our bank also has a free counting machine.

Awww, Chrissie - I think your a pretty cool cucumber too :goodvibes .

I got my dress at a bargain outlet for $100 (for anyone around here that remember Arthur's). The bride's maid were from a bridal store and I had so many headaches with them, the store, not the BM's.

Hope you feel better.
