I have been waiting for the 3G for awhile with the iphone , Thats why I didnt leave sprint with the first one cause with evdo it was faster then edge .... But 3g has got me switching .. I just wish they would have went to 32GB , so I will just get the 16 till they up the memory ( I have over 20GB just of music , not including movies and such which adds another 20gb ) So I will be up and out the door around 2am to get inline down at the apple store .....

Just an update on my saga...seems that they have not been able to locate if we are supposed to be at the hotel on Saturday night...seems the only person who has that info is on vacation.


So..what was a simple confirmation call has turned into over 4 hours of hunting something down...they are still working on it but unfortunately, we are already out money as my Sis needed a hotel to stay at tomorrow night on her way here and that deadline for cancellation passed at noon my time today. With the cost of gas..no point in coming out if there is nothing to come out to when she has to drive out again in a month.

I need that pulling your hair out icon here.... I know it will work out..just venting my frustration here...

Glad it all worked out later in the day.

My DD went to an orientation at Apple yesterday and at one of their NYC stores people were already camped outside. Wow !! My deskmate has one and my DGS has the itouch. It is tempting. I would want it for the internet tho and only that. Have the Zune for everything else.

To My Friends the Gorilla-lovers and the Guerilla-haters: There is much to admire in such staunch support of friends in pain. I can only hope that I am so blessed when I am in need. Yet, such support can be hurtful of others.

Dear Friends, let us recognize the unintentional hurts we have caused each other. Let us find in this community the understanding and healing we each need. And let us remember how easy it is to misinterpret intentions when we are writing, when we can not see a face, hear the tone of voice, and immediately respond - I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you.

Well put. And though I am not quite so lucid, I would like (in my own crass and politically incorrect way) to add one more thing.

It's time everyone start (or continue) to act like children .

Seriously - most of you have kids, and you know they get upset and angry with each other. Some handle it well, some poorly. But, by and large, they are able to make up and within a time so short as to astonish adults, return to playing as if nothing happened.

One of (if not the main thing) that brought me here is that that most of the people seem to be (in the common venacular) "chill" and, dare I say it, playful. In fact, the entire spirt of the board was playful.

Sure, people often raise serious things going on in their life, and get support from the community - and that's great. That's what communities are for. I personally don't bring the "hassles" in my life here because for me DIS is an extension of TOAL which is, to a certain degree, a chance to escape from the muck and mire of daily life. It's a chance to relax and be a bit (or more than a bit) goofy (or Mickey, or Donald, or whatever). But that's just me, and I have no problem at all if others share more serious issues.

But when it comes to interpersonal conflict and offense (which is inevitable in any community, online or not), I can only plead with everyone (and strive myself) to be more like children, and quickly put hard feelings behind, and return to playfulness.

Yes, there will probably be more offensive postings (I have absolute confidence in my own ability to inadvertantly offend people - I may be doing so right now). But let's all try to handle these things in a childish manner - a bit of whining, a quick appeal to mommy (moderators), and rapid forgiveness and forgetfulness so we can go back to playing.
