We are going to Claim Jumpers tonight to meet 4foster kids for dinner...can't wait to have one of their desserts!

With a side of clotted arteries....is there anything better?

The samwhich kind of grosses me out? is it a meal or dessert?

It's actually a meal. I'd post a picture but I can't get into photobucket right now.

Currant Jelly... Huh... I guess I never knew that. Or maybe I did but remember it being like raspberry jelly and since I don't really know what currants are....

I have never had theirs..I will try it out when we are there.

We are going to Claim Jumpers tonight to meet 4foster kids for dinner...can't wait to have one of their desserts!

Every time I think of Claim Jumpers I think of the first time a friend of mine ate there. He ordered a roast beef sandwich. When it came he asked the waitress if she just took 2 loaves (not slices) of bread and carved a chunk out of the side of a cow. :rotfl:

At least you have glasses..............this morning while i was cleaning my glasses which are about 4 years old, I rubbed the finish off of one side so I had to order a new pair  Went today and ordered a new pair but they will not be ready until Friday so I am wearing a pair that is about 15 years old and luckily i still have some contacts leftover and am able to wear them in public - DS12 said he would not go to the grocery store unless I took those glasses off

:rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Steph - I wouldn't mind at all - looking forward to it ;)

I'd love to have a chat anytime! You are someone I'd like to meet. :)

Y'all say that now... but, I may startle you! LOL! I've done it on shore excursions...in the elevator...as I'm walking down a hallway.....

I think I am just like I am on the boards as I am *IRL*! I try to be polite and listen to what people say -- it doesn't always work but, I try! :)

Have you seen house prices lately? You might be able to retire here in SD after all! It's amazing how low prices are for the area these days. And they're still going down. We expect to hit bottom around this time next year, and that's when we plan to buy!

That's great! I couldn't believe how much the prices had got out of hand! LOL! I know my Aunt made ALOT of money off of hers when she moved to Las Vegas.

Around here home prices have really always been very stable. Some years they don't go up at all! LOL!
The only time that I can remember quickly rising prices (early 80's) there was a FALL! I know Houston was hit hard when the market fell. Our area was hit pretty good, too. We bought our first home when prices were *high*. Oh, well! We didn't buy more then we could afford, we had a regular mortage not an ARM or a negative amortization -- those were really popular during the *high* -- so, we survived just fine! LOL!

Umm....Cheryl....she's in San Diego, not South Dakota

Cheryl, when I was reading your reply I kept trying to figure out what in the world you were talking about! LOL! I'm glad I'm not the only one to do things like that! LOL!

Currant Jelly... Huh... I guess I never knew that. Or maybe I did but remember it being like raspberry jelly and since I don't really know what currants are....

I need a life and to step away from the computer! :lmao:

currant, northern shrub of the family Saxifragaceae (saxifrage saxifrage (săk`sĭfrĭj)
family), of the same genus (Ribes) as the gooseberry bush. The tart berries of the currant may be black, white, or red; the white gooseberry becomes purple when mature. Both, especially the larger European species, are eaten fresh and also used in preserves, sauces, and pies. Because the plants act as a host to blister rust rust, in botany, name for various parasitic fungi of the order Uredinales and for the diseases of plants that they cause. Rusts form reddish patches of spores on the host plant. About 7,000 species are known.
their cultivation in America is discouraged, and in regions of infection the wild species are eradicated. Native Americans used dried currants in making pemmican pemmican (pĕm`ĭkən), a travel food of the Native North American.
but the "dried currant" of commerce is a raisin. Indian currant is a name for a West Coast species and for the coralberry of the honeysuckle family. Native species of gooseberry are sometimes cultivated in gardens. Currant is classified in the division Magnoliophyta Magnoliophyta (măg'nōlēŏf`ətə)
