Oooo.... I got dibs on one of your verandah chairs! I'll bring my ZUNE and enjoy some tunes while I oogle the view and breeze. Then I'll abruptly make a diplomatic exit - after I snap a couple of photos with me lounging with a fak-ey sleepy eyed "look"... and book in hand.... probably a good sci-fi yarn that's being reread for the 11th time!!!!

edited in... in my haste I did not quite read this correctly... and now that I have - I don't suppose it'd be OK fer me to parade by with the 26 souls under my "wing"? OK... that's what I thought... so's maybe it'l just be me an' one of daughters doing the verandah "open house" ta just visit with a few neighborly souls with the open cabin doors? I think I'll still end up sheparding the folks in my group - shadowing them as they wander the ship as they view the canal pasage. So I hope to visit just a little bit here an' there (I imagine)....

Evening all. Doing a quick ketchup. DD and I just finished watching "Water Horse". Nice summer evening movie.

Six weeks (can you believe it) from now we'll be watching Fantasmic.

Upgrade question for those of you who have been lucky to receive one in the past. Does DCL call before they upgrade or do they just do it? Reason for my question is that we're going out of town next week and are still GTY. Don't want to miss that important call. If you have a TA - do they call the TA or you?

Also, Arlene or someone familiar with the toll booths between the Port and WDW - explain how it works and cost. Just want to be prepared.

Ift you've requested an upgrade that you will pay for, then yes they will call you to get your agreement. If you are just hoping for an upgrade because you are GTY, then no call, they just assign your room and you find out when you check online or get your docs.

If you have a TA, DCL contacts your TA and they have "X" amount of time to get ahold of you...unless you've already told your TA to accept an upgrade (and the extra cost) on your behalf.
If you don't have a TA, then DCL will contact you...if it's an upgrade that you'd have to pay for. If it's a "free" upgrade, no one will get a call at all. It just appears.
Actually, I should take that back. We got a call at the Polynesian one day before our first cruise, with a free upgrade....so I guess the answer is "sometimes they call, sometimes they don't".

They don't call for any free upgrades unless it is last minute. You will see it online or on your documents. We have gotten calls two to three days prior to a cruise date that clients were upgraded. The bottom line is you don't need to worry next week, they won't be calling.

All I could get from my account with Sunpass is 2 tolls. 1.25 is the first toll before the airport. This is the 417 toll and lots of people recommend taking the 417 down to the back of WDW. Keeps you off I-4. 417 is a toll road and unfortunately it is not listed on the site toll wise.
If you stay on the Beachline, the next toll is .75 at the airport and there are a few more til I-4. Sorry. I will see if they can get the info for you.

Currently 74 going up to 93. Heard we are to have storms today. What else is new. Bet they will hit on my lunchhour

1. It will probably be hotter later in the afternoon but not that much difference
2. You have to be at their transportation center 20 mins before your time and it is a 20 min taxi ride from the boat
3. Mike may be in the monkey cage instead of the monkeys
4. You may have a cheering crowd of DISers sitting around watching you while drinking beer and eating chips
5. You will have to watch out for M who will still be zipping in her Tink outfit

You can bet on that!

I'm so excited about the monkeys, although Linda keeps telling me that I'll end up with rabies.

Going by the Westbound Repo GTY, Room assignments, the 'peak' of assignments was at 5 weeks mark, 35 days. There was a steady stream before that, and a few unlucky people still didn't have a room assignment until the last few days and tickets said GTY.

But look out this week if you are GTY, My calculations going by people posting on the 'panama planing 'thread, points to around Thursday 10th.

We picked up Brooke last night and to our surprise.............My neighbors put signs up all around the streets. This was waiting by our front door to see. There was a balloon hanging on it, that was taken off before pic. taken. We were up late last night and now waiting for Brooke to get ready so we can start our day.

I can't remember, does Tink "fly" (zip line) from the castle during the fireworks at DL? If so, I'm sure she's seen it. We can all be just like Tink!
