now....we're all getting near the end of our careers...what we should be
doing..is "passing on"...so the new gnereation..won't have to start @ the
begining. { not only sterotyping is completely out of reality..even the things
we are doing....across the nation ( reagarding mental health) needs junked.

step by step...what is misunderstood..can be explained...where everything
"we're doing"..is not only understood..but would improve life...& so easy to
do. so ironic, the "we"....include a neurosx., [ no longer could operate],
another medical md, & all intensive care nurses....that were redirected to
this job. we started from scratch....& while this is a "bold claim"...as it is also
true.."very true!"....there're only..3 types..we cannot help...a]
organic~dementia/alizh., head trauma....brain tissue does not regenerate,
and...those not wanting to get better. *while..it makes..no sense...you
will be surprise..how many adults...thrived on getting "high"...by making
themselves..chemical inbalanced. today, our laws...lack understanding
toward addressing those....heading toward destruction...before its too
late. jus as it was a "factual"...i went to court..to stopped the crapped..
that was effecting my kids. 3 mos later, columbine. then there's the v~tech.
..when i heard...about his professor...being terrorized.."2/years" before.
how many more?

health care..isn't a game. but few are listening ..or caring. that include
those within the "ranks".

i'm praying...steph.girl..that the ca..isn't "genetic"...& while ..i have no
right...to make any suggestion..i hope they don't..give up..no matter
what! ...because..miracles..can & do happened.


....which reminds...me..dear mismce....i liketo share..what i think..are
very effective..preventions...for those with cardiac...conditions? :flower3:

#1 ..as it is for..all of us? [ * that add years..to one's life]? handwashing!
..remember..preventing..colds/flu's...those are killers to heart pts! psst,
handwashing..before..and after.#2 "digestion" ...it is absolute..crazy...to
smoke..after eating. [ it's like runnning & smoking @ the same time. the
process of digestion..is when your heart is under..the most stress. then
avoiding..overeating..should be self evident, :teacher:

..just the other..day..we admitted a pt. ..who was depressed because he
just had a mi? how stupid..is that? * sometimes..feeling depress ..after
a loss [ lke a parent/ even health status]..is normal. :sad2: ..just had a
mi..& was never taught....the basics...post care, :mad: . not only
something..wrong..i'll be ashamed..to have been..that neglectful..or worst..
they don't understand?

So I'm either the coolest mom or the worst mom. But DS and I go to Hooters a LOT. Even planning on making a run to the one in Aruba while we're there. I really do love the wings. The only other place that I truly like the hot wings is a small chain in Memphis.

When we were in Vegas a few weeks ago, I asked DS where he wanted our last meal to be before we headed toward the airport. He was torn between, in his own words "hot girls in booty shorts or animals on the walls" - he was trying to decide between Hooters and Rainforest Cafe. Then Todd had to throw in another choice of Hawaiian Tropic, yes the suntan lotion. They've got a restaurant where all the girls are in bakinis.

Any antibiotic can cause nausea/vomiting/cramps/diarrhea because it kills off the bacteria that live in your gut. Cipro is not know for diarrhea if you are taking it for short periods of time (ie. Travelers Diarrhea). One word of warning though, if you take Cipro or any drug in that family, they will increase your sensitivity to the sun. Beware if you take these stay out of the sun.


Sorry that I have not been around. After K problems at work, I have not been using the internet except for work the last couple of weeks. I am currently involved in some disputes with our current boss (#23 in the last 10yrs) and I don't want to take any chances this close to TOAL. I think I will take my laptop to work tomorrow and see if I have time to make it chat (the beauty of wireless networks).

Debi, regarding sea sick medications, check with your doctor. You should be able to take meclizine, maybe not :confused3 the patch, same for ginger.

"Look, a peanut" comes from POTC 3 when Jack is down in Davy Jones' locker.

I'm innocent started after an impromptu chat on a Saturday night and we were being overrun with VMK kids. We sent out a call to some mods and webmasters. When they came in they checked the chat history and started booting some of us out because of some comments that were made:rolleyes1. One of the people who didn't get booted was MR and she had some of the worst comments - after that she was always protesting her innocence and then it just caught on.



And I WAS innocent that night. That night was a blast.. That had to be well over a year ago.

NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE!

As BIP is my witness... I was INNOCENT that nite! Especially in light of what some (including MR in paricular) had said! And yet here I was ... INNOCENT ol' ME getting thrown out and into the poky!

Coincidently, the Mythbusters on today did sea-sickness remedies. While hardly a scientific sample (they only tried it on two people who got seasick easily), they busted sea-sickness bands, electronic pressure point gizmos and homeopathic remedies. Ginger worked. So did the medications (though they left the guys groggy).

Yes, finally. I just finished my daughters gold gown from the first movie (my favorite). It's huge. It took 2 months. I'm just waiting for her shoes. They're coming from Canada, from a company that specializes in reproductions from the 16-1800's. They should be here next week. I'll try and post pictures. He's making them out of the same material the dress is made out of (silk brocade).

Actually, I'm going to start packing the costumes today.

Jack tried on his Norrington costume on yesterday. His shoes came in yesterday (from the same company).

He looks smashing!

I weighed my costume the other day it weighs almost 30 lbs. I guess we'll be paying for extra weight and suitcases.

dahuffy - As a dog lover you would appreciate this story. Today I took our 1 yr old Min. Schnauzer to the vet for vac. Her name is Belle. A few minutes after I left the vet, Belle threw up so I stopped to clean the van. When I got back into the van, she collapsed on the seat. I rushed her back to the vet. They rushed her to the back and started working on her. She had gone into anaphylactic shock! After much care, she is home recovering now.
Hope she's doing well. I had a cat that had a reaction to shots once. Very scary.

Please say a prayers for my husbands friend. He woke up yesterday and found his wife dead on the bathroom floor.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!

We're not doing much. Plan to walk over to Mount Vernon for a while, then maybe go to the pool. Neither one of us has much desire to watch the fireworks from the Mall with several million people, so I'll be around if anyone else wants to chat tonight.

My oldest called just a little bit ago...... He just talked to a friend of his (they are 28 now and have known each other since they were about 9 or 10). His friend called him to let him know that his 9 month old baby boy (we have known his wife since they were either in Jr Hi or just starting HS...) was diagnosed with Cancer today. :sad1:

They will do surgery to remove his tumors next week and then a few days later they will put in his port.
I am heartbroken for them.

I bought 15 pr of cotton unders to sleep in...and plan to toss them as we go. I hate wearing pj's, and I hate using covers...but since this is all Moms....I need to be "covered".
