(ps. is she on the SM list? if she is- can I ask Laura if I can be her SM? LOL I'm having an "issue" with being assigned a girl that doesn't like girl things- and I spent a YEAR buying stuff I thought Rita would like thinking that meant another girl her age would like it....... but no, I'm matched up with a girl that likes boy stuff! And Laura said she was surprised most fo the girls on the SM list didn't want girl stuff!!! that's a disaster for me... tha'ts all I bought was princesses and tinkerbell stuff and a couple of girly POC things--- I can't afford to rebuy the items... I bought stuff for a year when on sale, when disney stuff showed up in the dollar store and target, etc.-- but it's presenting a problem for Laura to change things. I don't want to give this to a child that is going to be disappointed with a bunch of princesses and tinkerbelle stuff! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I wanna cry. I'm wondering if i should just pull out from the SM thing and just give the gifts I bought to my own kids- they wouldn't know the difference (I'm a nightowl and they'd be clueless LOL) atleast then I'd KNOW the kids would be happy instead of disappointing someone else's child. But I know Claire would love the stuff I bought!)
This is why I haven't started buying SM gifts. The greatest thing about SM is that you get to know other people that you may not have gotten to know otherwise. In the past I've gotten people that I didn't know at all including Laura herself. I also know from experience It's hard enough to organize something like SM (or dining for that matter) without having to meet everyone's special requests, making these jobs nightmares. Sorry, just my 2 cents.
