Stacey you may not have the latest version of Google Earth. If you hit Ctrl + Alt + A all at the same time there is a easter egg flight simulator embedded in Google earth. You have a choice of a F-16 or a prop plan. Not exactly MS Flight Simulator but fun.

Kevin had to load the current version and has been playing with the fighter jet this morning. He crashed it into the water on the 1st try.

Thanks Roger! I found it. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to control it or not and ended up watching it crash the first time. I did find a cool hidden mickey in a field just south of WDW.

Kevin just lost it at the Eiffel Tower!

I had made inquires on how to do the "highlighting" that was shown in the example posted. I have all the deck/cabins ready to go, but so far, I have not been able to get anyone to tell/show me how to do it. I was just told that it was a lot of work and required more than powerpoint to complete :confused3 . I had not given up yet, however I never heard back from you on the PM I sent you. Is there someone else working on this????

I would guess that it does need something more than powerpoint. I can help with this if you guys want. Where are the original deck plans?

Tomorrow I turn 41

Happy Birthday!

In chat the other night, I mentioned that I had added up the number of adults & kids on the FE list and that I would post the totals here.

So far I've come up with 190 adults, 116 kids and 1 cute pup.

However, these numbers aren't correct. While going thru the list, I noticed that some people didn't include the number of people traveling with them.

I was able to use the Pirate Zone to figure some of them out, but I'm lost on a few.

Chrissy (I'm a Princess) - I didn't include children can't remember if you have 1 or 2 daughters

Linda and Dave I didn't include children
Denise(Saratoga Souris) I put 2 adults Is this correct
SunshineandDaisy's (Randi) I put 2 adults Is this correct

I apologize if my numbers are off.

I figured this may help those of us who wanted to purchase items for the kids. Now I'm off to see if I can find a few doggie treats

Wow...that is amazing, and a bit scary too! LOL
Thanks so much for keeping track of this.

Ours close this last week as well :scared1:

Thats a bummer! It amazes me that they would close a single Disney Store in one area leaving entire areas without one, and leave all 4 of the ones very close together near me, open.

Hi Gang,

I'm just popping in to say Good-Bye. After brunch w/Mimosas - my DD Lori is taking us to the Magic.

I'm not going to try to keep up w/y'all - someone can tell wme what I missed when I get back!!

Happy Birthday - Sue and to anyone celebrating while I'm gone.

Have a fabulous time!! I can't wait to hear all about it!!

Was there a June newsletter? (I know I'm a bit late looking for it...) It's not on the Pirate site, and I don't know how to get on the email list...

WOW.........thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes! I have had a nice morning so far. DH made me an omelet for breakfast. The kids picked up some bath & body lotions that I wanted, got some new clothes and some other things we needed for the house..........getting ready to take DD to a friends birthday party. I am going to relax and enjoy my day, My dear neighbor is making me a birthday dinner - WOOHOO!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Can anyone tell me about the onboard tours like the kitchen tour, etc? What will they offer? How do we sign up for them? Do they cost extra? :confused3

There is a Galley tour and its advertised in the navigator, you sign up at guest services, Also there is a tour of the ship first day thats posted in the navigator.

The Galley tour is very good I did it in 2005 on the last repo, its 30 mins, starts in Lumieres and you end up in Parrot Cay

All free and on the galley tour you get a cookie or cake, we had some times offered on a sea day, there was a lot of people so we went off in groups every 5 mins or so, If you do not see it advertised go to Guest services and ask there, they will know, for this repo I expect it will be held a few times.

Additional there are behind the scenes tours such as the Walt Disney theater the art of entertaining series as well

Hello everyone!
Just checking in.

Wow what a month! I decided to do all night shifts for the month of June (10pm-7am) to try it out (usually work 2-3 nights a month) Monday-Thursday with weekends off. What a mistake. By Thursday I was so exhausted it would take me 2 days to recooperate.

Well, I won't be doing that again.

I had no time to post. Hope everyone is well. Hope to Ketchup this weekend.

So that explains why you have not been here!!!:rolleyes1 John is doing 4 days a week at 10 hours to have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. I don't thinh it is working for him because I drive him crazy for 3 days in a row.:lmao:

That was how things were on our last cruise. The first day we all wore our lime green shirts that we had bought from DS.com with our logo ironed onto the back. The CMs quickly termed us the "Green People" and would let us into PC for lunch even after it had been closed to everyone else. I guess that they wanted to contain us as a group? I have been asked if we were on a family reunion on other cruises when there were no where near as many DISers. We really enjoyed seeing people onboard no matter where we were and it seemed to others that we had known each other for a long time, especially when the kids knew each other after a couple cruises together.

The funniest thing was that I was approached by many people in the DCL terminal who thought that I was a CM because I had my green DIS Cruise bible with me and DISers were updating their room info as they got their GTY assignments at checkin. LOL! Others thought that they needed to check in with me too.

If you have the notebook......people could check in with you for the dining links!!!:rotfl:

I checked in with DCL (since we're using the transfer). My understanding is that yes, it will be around noon. But I was assured we'd be on board in time for lunch. And since we're not rushing for a Palo signup, getting on early isn't critical. Also, the DCL transfer also means skipping the port lines, as we'll have our KTTW card already - should be able to just go through security and right on board as I understand it.

We are hoping the DCL transfers will give us a lot less:headache: too. :flower3:

Wow I think its still wacky - my bus info post is before ones I already read???

Add my Dh to the hearing impaired - he has only partial hearing on one side. When he wants to ignore me he has me sit on that side LOL

Poor John.......I made him hearing impaired on both sides. Now I just yell louders.:rotfl2:

Really? You get your KTTW card where then if you are taking DCL transportation? We do need to rush for Palo so hopefully we'll get there early enough from LAX...

We will be rushing with you!!!:thumbsup2

Tom, it wasn't so much the storm itself that I am worried about, it is the waves that we will have to deal with.
pac48per_latestBW_sm3.gif

Thanks Roger.........you made me sea sick already.

Hey, I could bring 7 of us to help you out with your screenings. I was thinking of you yesterday and wondering how Wall E and your movie fun was going! DH took a carful of girls to go see a movie, but they saw Get Smart instead of Wall E?!!?!!?! Oh well, we will all go see it together Sunday evening. Unless you need us to drive down to help you out! ;) I would be willing to sacrifice...

Lets see, tank of gas to get there and back equals $75, 7 tickets to the movie...equals about $75...getting to meet you early...priceless! :) Wait, would that mean I would be on your phone list, I don't know if I have that much time!! ;)

Hey that sounded like a great deal. I had to recurit my daughter Friday to watch Wall-E with her two children. The little guy not quite two just kept repeating WALL-E over and over during the entire movie.

Send me your phone number.....and we could do a mini marathon!!!:yay:

My first rotation is over! I actually had a good time with the people that worked there, they were a fun bunch. And I learned some really useful things, which was the whole point. I also got a job interview out of it. I think it went really well; the recruiter told me to watch for a job offer in mid-August. I'd like to stay with Target, and I have an interview with them in a few weeks. But if that doesn't work out, this seems like a good company to work for too. It just seems weird to be interviewing for a job when I won't be ready and licensed for it for another year.

Glad to see one of my "children" will be getting a real job soon!!:thumbsup2

I thought that I already posted to this....but now are you repeating yourself too? LOL!

ANGEL_DEVILANIM-vi.gif

I'M INNOCENT!!  ]

How come no one ever believes me???

ANGEL_DEVILANIM-vi.gif

That's terrible! I've posted my story on the Dis before. But, the guy yelled and berated me for quite sometime -- my dh was with 2 of the kids buying drinks & snacks -- I didn't see a CM and none of the people sitting around us said anything.
I sat there and told him that perhaps he should read the rules and listen to the announcements and he would know there is no saving seats. ;)
When my dh got to the seats the guy shut up -- my dh is over 6 ft and this guy was probably all of 5'8" -- and then he sat right next to me.
When he realized that I didn't care and his wife, mother & some other relative all came down and told him they didn't want to sit there.... that was when he dumped the drink and said *Ha Ha now you can't use that seat* What a moron.

Hey Stephanie............I remeber saving a few seats like twenty.....for the 10 cruise Southern cruise. We won't discuss that.

Hi all! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Stormed all last night and looks like more on the way. I feel like a duck with all this rain! LOL! I see our posts are still getting scrambled. Ketchuping up will be an adventure.

It has been an adventure.:headache:

Desiree, I am going to continue to update the list if people ask to be on it . . . but I can't imagine there will be many more additional people between now and the cruise. I just didn't want anyone to feel left out if they came to the boards late, and everyone is free to just give out gifts to as many cabins as they can, or give smaller gifts, etc., etc.

Also, as people get cabin numbers I will continue to update that. I leave for CA on August 9, so on August 8 I will post a "final" list here and on the pirate zone for people to print out. Any changes that people find out at the port or whatever can be listed on the whiteboard on my cabin door (6050). I believe I may have a volunteer or volunteers to make a pdf of the decks with FE cabins highlighted once people get their cabin numbers, and that will make giving things out much easier.

My DH is already getting work withdrawal. Can anyone tell me the best place to get really good information on using cell phones on the boat and how we tell which cell phone service will work. The kids and I relax and he works. I think I get the better end of the trip.

Horror of horrors........

Went to the Disney store at the local mall (Capitola CA) to get DD a new outfit for pirate night.......and........its gone, boarded up, no signs or anything

What is the world coming too?

Andy

We found that out on Friday night also. And the last I'd heard, Disney had bought back the stores. :confused3

I found it. I couldn't figure out how to play it, but at least I found it. :guilty:

I sure wish we'd planned our "appetizer" cruises together!
Have a blast!!!

Hey Stace- I have been meaning to ask you- How did the transportation work from the DT to the port?

Here I am...talking to myself again..:rolleyes1
Maybe it's a sign.

If I never run into any Pirate t-shirts on the cruise, I'll know y'all are hiding from me.
:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:
