afternoon..

dropped Geoff off at Napowan ( BSA camp) where he will be a counselor for 7 weeks.. :( !:( gonna miss him.. told Eric he is the 1 .. and gets ALL of our love and attention now .. he is hiding in the basement.. LOL:rotfl:

checking in then I need to start working on some things.. but Friday night I went to a CHOCOLATE BUFFET>>> YUMMY!!! it was so wonderful everything was so pretty and good chocolate.. i ate like a pig  told myself i wouldn't eat for the rest of the weekend.. but that didn't work out.:confused3 . oh well..

BTW i am wearing sneakers oln plane too.. easier to do that and they take too much room to pack..

okay back to work... talk to ya soon..

AND - because so many pirates will have a lot of luggage (thank you to Kristina for mentioning that fact!!!!) we are going to have 4 buses not 3 so that everyone's luggage will fit!!!

Yeah much more luggage is needed for our "three hour tour".... or is that three continent tour....

OH well, did I mention that I got to see Marine One yesterday?

You get used to it.... The last two houses i've lived in are on the flight path to Camp David.... El-shrubo wastes most of our tax dollars on two or three trips a weeks out there. (well out here since now i only live 10 miles south of Catoctin) They typically take two or three other choppers with them... If you only saw one chopper...Probably not el-shrubbo...Probably was vice-pres or empty run.

He did have a big party at the White House yesterday for his DD. (More tax dollars at work. :headache: )

Andrew sorry to hear of this. Did you do something to cause this or was it spontaneous? I have not learned my lesson that at my age I should not run.

I've been kinda panicky too since my dsis fractured her hip (now has it pinned) She's only 3 yrs younger than me but my joints do click a little when i rotate my hips. :worried:

I was thinking I might do the gym too, but that means I'd have to pack sneakers.

Come on... i am bringing two pairs of sneaks JIC and my cycling shoes....

Okay, I am really really behind (still on page 36). BUT, I finally made reservations for the Midwest Mini Meet!!!! Go me!!!

Anyway, the Pheasant Run resort was full, I will keep checking as there may be cancellations...BUT, I did make reservations at the Hilton Indian Lakes Resort. According to Mapquest, that is 7.36 miles away from West Chicago. Pam and/or Cheryl, do you think that will be close enough and easy enough to get to and from? The room was $100 per night and we are Platinum blah blah blah members because of DH's travel. So we get free upgrades to the best room and free breakfast at Hiltons, so that is why I chose that. Also, maybe I can convince DH to come along as it is on a golf course...

Let me know, as if that is totally in the wrong area, I can change!

Tina, where are you staying?

I am excited...:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Back to do bills, update our family calendar and many other weekend chores. Hope to ketchup during naptime!

Indian Lakes is a fairly easy drive. We have been there a few times for "Brunch with Santa" during the holidays. It was a really good brunch and looks like a nice resort.

LOL Andy you guys sound like us ....we will actually be in Cozumel this time next week and diving for a week ... My oldest DS 16 Dylan will be doing his first Night dive and he has been certified since he was 10 .... So it should be another great dive trip

pirate:

Oohh..... nite dives - fun. Especially when everyone turns off their lights.

ANdy

DS11 asked me to post pictures of him learning to dive. These are from his last pool session. I forgot the camera both days at the lake. Bad Mother! :(

.

Congratulations on passinghis scuba exam! My husband and son are long time Divers. My son is in the Air Force now, so my husband is "converting" my daughter into becoming a Diver (in her spare time :rotfl2: ). Bribery works however, they ordered a custom wetsuit yesterday in Black with Aqua Blue and Silver Accents (to match her Nationals Leo.:rotfl: ) She really did have to have one made for her since at 4'10" and 85lbs there is not much of a selection and she is ALWAYS COLD (I would be happy to give her some of my body fat to keep her warm.) She promised to study the Dive Book on the airplane Flight up to Philadelphia this morning. (She is on her way to gymnastics camp with two of her teammates).

:yay: :yay: David!!! :yay: :yay: I lost (I know the information is here in a box somewhere....) some of my information when we moved... I NEED your address!!! :) Please. :)

That's great that y'all got to get together! What fun!!

Hi Steph

I've had your e-mail, I'll reply tomorrow, I've had a really hectic day and I need to be in work VERY early as a member of my staff had a heart attack late on Friday so I need to rearrange some work.

David

Monica, this is a great idea, and for once, will not impact my luggage constraints from London, can you add my two, Alice DD-12 Stephen-DS-9/10.

They can get some cards from London, I am sure that will be interesting to Some kids.

London all round then as that what I was planning for Lauren, although we may plump for Windsor to be a little different!

Hey are those Lovenox shots? You're right on those..... They do hurt....

I had those in 07 after my surgery for a whole month..... I think the trick is to keep rotating around your Belly button to find a spot that isn't bruised yet.:(

I don't know what it is with drugs that come in prefilled syringes but the needles they use are about as dull as nails. I always recommend the nurses transfer them to a real syringe and use a good needle. I have only had heparin (never lovenox) IV and it burned like he** when injected.

Another hot day in So. California....yikes!! I believe it is the travel fairies preparing us for hot weather on the cruise!!

DS 15 left for camp this morning in the local mountains. DD9 will go to a fun cheer day camp this week.

I was at DL yesterday and it was sooo hot.

DS18 had an all day drum corp rehearsal in West Covina and it was 115 on the turf at mid day....yikes!! They had their first show in Brea which was a cool and balmy 93 at 7pm....LOL

We're off to Gulf Stream in Newport Beach for my mom's bday for dinner in a few hours, so hopefully it will be cooler.

I would like to sign up DD9 for the postcard fun. I will pm too.
I'm enjoying the pix from the meets, thanks for sharing!
Happy Sunday to all!

Thanks, I have my leg up on the sofa resting it, I feel/hope, its not DVT, but a bad strain, (that will clear up with rest before the cruise),find out Tomorrow. Ta,

Good luck tomorrow Andrew - I hope it isn't anything more than a bad strain.

GREAT KEEPSAKE IDEA

I went to the craft store today and bought 2 signature mats. 11 x 14 mat that has space for a 5 x 7 picture. I am dropping them on day one at the front desk with a set of multi - colored sharpies and getting them signed by the characters. Then I have one for a picture of each kid. Last cruise I dropped off 12x12 scrapbook pages and then look great! Now if I could just get some other pages done from that trip...

The tables have not been finalized yet. The groupings that Cheryl posted were just folks who were already linked on their own. I'll see if I can find it though.

No, they're not...... I don't know the people that she *linked* me with. ;) I don't think I've even talked to them on the board........

We did this for the KIDS in our DIS group in 2006. the Moms that organized it cut the kids names out on the Cricut and affixed it to the mat and then the parents dropped them off at the desk - it was a great surprise at the end of the cruise. I might just do it for me this time

remember with the photo mats to mask off around the edge with removable tape, so that the signatures do not get too close to the edge and be covered with the frame. I learned that the hard way on a graduation mat! :)

No not tables, it's just that some folks have already linked with a few families. Those are the groups that Cheryl had together. Those groups may end up filling one table or they may be put at a larger table with others.

The dining divas have not started on table assignments yet but if you put in a request to sit with someone they will take that into consideration while assigning tables.

The list Cheryl posted is *her* vison for table assignments. She still has to give it to Disney. Like I said I don't know the family she linked me with! LOL!
Her and John worked hard on that! LOL!

:cool1: I found my dress for Princess night!!!!! and it was $16.00. regular price $160.00 - what a bargain! It was not my favorite but it fit and works... now I just need to get the length taken up. I am going to see if my Mom can do this - she is a perfectionist - I will have to explain to her that I could care less if it is perfect - just not so long... I also need to get a good tan going... so this week I will do my free week in the tanning bed... then see if I can find somewhere in Memphis next week to get a cheap week then come back here and tan for a month. one item off my list. I have now bought 4 dresses for this cruise... I cannot remember the last time I wore a dress. my DS is so cute - telling me how good I look in the dress and how I should wear a dress more often... just not me:confused3

We went to a Dillards closeout store - DH got him 2 "tropical" shirts (Nautica) for 4.50 each and 2 Ralph Lauren short sleeve shirts for 4.99 each. We spent 60 bucks there today and I still saved DH 100.00.
Then we went to MicroCenter and bought DS a PS2 game and had a 10.00 coupon - the game was 24 cents!!!!! I tried to get them to go to the mall after this to see what other bargains we might find but the had shopped enough for the day.....

I got the framless frame for ours - all glass!
