Hi Everyone,
We received devastating news on the weekend.
One of our twins was diagnosed with a small brain tumor and is scheduled for surgery in the next couple of days.
If all goes well ( the doctors are quite optimistic ), there is a period of recovery of several weeks.
Obviously, we are going to have to cancel all our vacation plans including the Disney cruise that we dreamed of for so long.
Does anyone know if I can postpone the cruise with Disney or do I have to cancel and claim on my insurance ?
JEN: PM your address and I'll send you $$ for the lanyards, at least we can use them for a future trip.

Tony - I am so sorry to hear this news. You family is in our prayers)
As for disney, I think that can move your cruise to another date,( even if its just a hold date for now) But I think you will have to file a claim for your deposit as it is passed the final date for changes.

Tony I am so sorry, I wish you and your familiy all the best, you should be able to claim it on trip insurance, DCL may give part back or move to a new cruise.

We got our stateroom number today!!!!!

No upgrade but we are thrilled just to have the room assigned!!!!

Hope to hear soon from the other GTY's who are on our FE list - maybe Disney will get your cabin assigned soon as well!!!

I am also happy to say that we have a room for our messed up WDW reservation. DU was able to get us the missing night at the Poly. They could not add it to our package so we have to go to Guest Services at MK on our first day to get them to pull our park ticket early for us.

All the details are coming together as I have been creating a detailed calendar for our trip. Everything looks really good. We are still debating a few things for the cruise portion but all the big stuff is in place.

How can I tell if our stateroom has a steamer trunk? We loved have the storage space this provided on our last cruise.

Have you checked the stateroom reports? Also it is a long shot but the stateroom photos may have photos of this room or others the same which answer your question.

Congrats great location great room, I am not to sure about the steamer trunk havent been in that Cat, my stateroom plans omit it, but elsewheere a book says they are nearly the same as Cat 4 with a few omissions, and they do have them, andits not on the lsit of omissions like the twin bed.

It is raining in Minnesota today - and that is GREAT! First, it means that I do not have to jog today!!!!! Second, we needed rain horribly and the grass is finally getting the soaking it needs!

Here are some questions to help us think happy Disney thoughts for the day:

1. When you first get on board, where are you planning on eating lunch?

2. What do you do to pass time until the deck party and sail away time?

3. If you have cruised before, what is one activity that you really recommend?

4. Have you "studied" the navigator and already made plans for what you want to do on board?

5. At WDW, we try to do "Random Acts of Kindness" and give away fast passes to other families on our way out of the park. Are there random acts of kindness things that you can think of on the cruise?

It is raining in Minnesota today - and that is GREAT! First, it means that I do not have to jog today!!!!! Second, we needed rain horribly and the grass is finally getting the soaking it needs!

Here are some questions to help us think happy Disney thoughts for the day:

1. When you first get on board, where are you planning on eating lunch?

2. What do you do to pass time until the deck party and sail away time?

Lunch, Unpack, spend time at the pool. Maybe meet up with some other Disboard people.

3. If you have cruised before, what is one activity that you really recommend?

My family are trivia fans, we love doing all the trivia games they have, but this isn't always for everyone.

4. Have you "studied" the navigator and already made plans for what you want to do on board?

I have looked and gotten ideas, but it really depends on how each day goes. Also my DH likes watching sporting events and since those aren't listed yet a lot will depend on that.

5. At WDW, we try to do "Random Acts of Kindness" and give away fast passes to other families on our way out of the park. Are there random acts of kindness things that you can think of on the cruise?

??? not sure of anything specific, but if the opportunity presents it self I will usually act on it.

Second, we needed rain horribly and the grass is finally getting the soaking it needs!It's raining in CT too-Daniel is at an outdoor baseball camp which hopefully they'll move indoors. Jim spent about an hour watering our plants last night and now they're getting watered again

Goofys Galley-kids will play in pools for a bit

2. What do you do to pass time until the deck party and sail away time?
Pool time, unpack, show our friends around the ship

3. If you have cruised before, what is one activity that you really recommend?
Pub Night.Diversions.Friday 10:30pm. Hysterical
4. Have you "studied" the navigator and already made plans for what you want to do on board?
Looked at, yes, more to see what our Palo ressies would conflict with. Love entertaining series. May try Martini tasting this time around.

5. At WDW, we try to do "Random Acts of Kindness" and give away fast passes to other families on our way out of the park. Are there random acts of kindness things that you can think of on the cruise?
We've done the Fastpass handoff too.
