Aww that is nice. What did you order him? It must have really put a dampener on his summer with a broken arm and a cast wihich stops him doing lots of the fun stuff so it is great to hear that he has been so good about it.

Happy day here today, Schools in our area finished today so DH is on holiday now until September 1st. Tomorrow he is taking Isabelle to watch a reserve team football (soccer) match. We support Ipswich Town and their reserve team are playing just up the road in our nearest small town. Izzy has been wanting to go to a game for a while now so tomorrow they will go to that.

I went shopping yesterday for some more clothes for the trip. I found quite a lot of sales so was pleased to get some bits for me and a couple of bits for the girls.

Hope everyone has a great weekend :)

I ordered a treasure chest filled with drinks, chips, candy, glow sticks, pirate-themed goodies (tattoos, telescope, bubbles) pirate cap and added a stuffed pirate Mickey. We're having it sent from Captain Jack Sparrow to welcome his one-armed matey!

Hope your DH and DD have a great time at the soccer game. Glad to here you found some things for the cruise and On SALE! (My favorite way to buy!)

We are missing one night on our ressie! Just got our paperwork yesterday and saw the ressie said 6 nights...should be 7!!!! Checked everything I sent the TA and it all said 7 nights and the right dates. I did not notice that the online form had the wrong dates and TA never questioned it or caught it either. Since it said just dates (not number of nights) - it was not noticed. Well, we booked the buy 4, get 3 free and now that offer is no longer good. So...at this point we are missing hotel for one night, food for one night and tickets!!! It is kind of a mess.

I will say that John at DU has been really helpful in helping resolve this issue and we hope to have it figured out soon. Just a bit of stress though as we thought all our plans were in place.

Hope everything gets straightened out quickly!

I called my TA to see if she had our cruise documents yet and she has all the land documents for before and after but hasn't yet received the cruise docs!

Andrew-Your kids are funny! I was just reading their posts back and forth. I had my DD12 post under me. On another note, by any chance do you have a listing of the beer that is available onboard (besides that offered through room service)? I tried doing searches last night but was unsuccessful. I know I've seen the information posted in the past. DH spent 9 months in England back in 2004 and returned a beer snob. He was trying to remember ones he's seen onboard in the past.

My dad called today and told us to book parasailing and he'd pay for it! DD and I did it together back in 2008 but DS didn't meet age requirements at the time. I managed to get the last time slot at 3:30 pm (same time as we had before).

Before hearing this I had spent today looking for beach suggestions for St. Thomas. DH and I have been to Magen's Bay, wanted to look into Sapphire because of water sports available (jet skis and parasailing). Still undecided though.

One month from today we'll be chilling at a hotel outside of Bradley airport, preparing for our early flight on Sunday AM. :cool1::cool1:

What hotel are you staying at??

Doubletree. It was between them and the LaQuinta who has a free breakfast that starts at 4 am. I figured we'll be too sleepy to eat so early so went with Doubletree. Are you staying over too? We have a 7 am flight on the 9th, this will save us an hour+.

Not yet...I am trying to be patient as they are working with Disney to see if there is any way to solve the mess neatly. If Disney cannot figure out how to add the missing date to our package, we will still get a night but it will be messy because we won't have our package. We have figured out how to get our tickets early if that is the case but there is still the matter of our meal plan as well. It is a mess but we will give them a bit of time to work on it - it is the weekend and I know that DU is waiting to hear back from some specific person from Disney to help out. :sad2:

Hi Everyone.

Kathy - it sounds like a great gift you ordered for your son.

Jen, Urgh, I can't believe you WDW ressie is not right - and you have everything so well planned. Sending pixie dust to you and hoping they sort it out properly for you.

Andrew - are Alice and Stephen finished school yet or is that this week? Not long to go now!

We have had a quiet weekend so far. My cousin who used to live with us while she was at uni came back on Friday so she could go to a friends 21st birthday last night so we spent yesterday just catching up with her mostly. Darren and Izzy went to the football game - Isabelle was pleased because "the blue ones" AKA Ipswich won 4 - 0

Hope everyone has a great Sunday, it looks pretty stormy here but we have no plans other than enjoy a nice lunch with Elizabeth before she goes home (she is coming back with her Mum next week though so it is not goodbye for a long time!

Hi everybody, we are booked for the Virgin Gorda tour of the Baths and I cant decide if we should cancel and do it on our own. Is anybody else doing it on thier own? Or are you doing it thru Disney? Rick

Hello Rick!

We are not doing the Baths but I have read really good descriptions of how to do it on your own on the Cruise Critic website. If we would have done the Baths, we would have done it on our own using the detailed instructions from that site.

We currently have an all-day day sail booked and are going to the Jost Van D*** area with some stops for swimming, snorkeling and enjoying the beaches.

Have a great day!
Jen

I am doing ''The Baths'' on the DCL trip to Virgin gorda, as it involves boats etc I prefer them to handle,I have read other peoples trip reports and you marginally get a bit more time, but my trip ends at 11.45am so after lunch plan to walk into the town of Road Town or the craft village.

Alice has finished now, and has 7 weeks off, Stephen has two days Mon and Tuesday then is off, now this time next year, on Sunday 18th we get on our Baltic cruise for 12 nights, so if everything is equal Alice will not miss school and Stephen will loos two days, but that includes his fairwell party as he will be leaving for senior school.

Hey there CT folks. I work right across the street from the airport. :cool1: Would love to meet any a head of time. :yay::woohoo:We are leaving on Sat. am of the cruise and staying at the Sheraton on Friday night. Anyone else??
