Hello Everyone! I know it is kind of late but...if anyone is still looking for something to do in Tortola...here is an idea if you are interested....

We have a private all-day day sail chartered. There are 7 in our group but there is still room for 5 more people on the boat.

The plans: A full day sail from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. It includes snacks (fruit and possibly some chips for the kids) plus all you can drink drinks all day (rum punch, beers, soda and water). Lunch is not included but we will stop at some beach restaurant (his chef is out of town when we are there).

We will be sailing to Little Jost Van D*** for snorkeling. It takes about 1 1/2 hours to get there and then we would stay there for about 1 hour. Then, we will sail to White Bay. It takes about 1 hour to get there and then we will spend 1 1/2-2 hours at White Bay. It then takes about 1 1/2 hours to sail back. There will be lots of time for snorkeling, swimming and exploring the shores.

The sail boat supplies the snorkeling equipment and has plenty of floating devices (large mats and noodles).

If anyone is interested in joining us for this day sailing event, let me know and I can give you more details.

It would have been delightful to have done a trip like this with your family! I totally agree that your children are a bit young though - I think that your plans sound perfect for your family!

We had originally thought that we would do the charter with just the 7 of us but then thought that it would be fun to share it with others if there was still a group looking for a great all day activity!

The family has done a bit of packing tonight so it has been exciting!!! We figured out how to do pirate night with limited extra clothing and accessories - it will not be all out pirate gear this trip but still quite enough! We also figured out all our dinner clothing and stuff a bunch of it in baggies to compress it all.

Hey there CT folks. I work right across the street from the airport. Would love to meet any a head of e. We are leaving on Sat. am of the cruise and staying at the Sheraton on Friday night. Anyone else??

We are starting our drive south from Ct on the 12th, we will be at Four Points by Sheraton in Cocco Beach on Friday night.

Just had a clam bake here. My MIL, FIL, SIL, BIL, and twin DN's were here. (Though my in-laws have an apartment on our house so they are really not guests - ) We had shrimp, clams, and lobster. Love this time of year when we can afford the lobster.

It was a beautiful day here in CT so we ate out on our back deck. Good thing because that is all messy food and with 4 kids - well you can imagine!!

I cannot believe how close the cruise is getting.

Still making things for our door and just ordered another thing for our FE gifts.

We did this tour on our 5 Year Anniversary Trip to ST. Thomas. It is a BLAST.........Your going to love this tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If my kids were a bit older I would think about it.......HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a fun day today. The kids are in my cousins wedding tomorrow so today was the rehersal dinner..The girls are soooo VERY EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not yet...I am trying to be patient as they are working with Disney to see if there is any way to solve the mess neatly. If Disney cannot figure out how to add the missing date to our package, we will still get a night but it will be messy because we won't have our package. We have figured out how to get our tickets early if that is the case but there is still the matter of our meal plan as well. It is a mess but we will give them a bit of time to work on it - it is the weekend and I know that DU is waiting to hear back from some specific person from Disney to help out.

Oh Jen , here's hoping that Disney can sort it out for you !!! What a mess !! Hopefully ... that Disney person can change the details of your reservation ... How could this "mess" happen ???

I ordered a treasure chest filled with drinks, chips, candy, glow sticks, pirate-themed goodies (tattoos, telescope, bubbles) pirate cap and added a stuffed pirate Mickey. We're having it sent from Captain Jack Sparrow to welcome his one-armed matey!

Hope your DH and DD have a great time at the soccer game. Glad to here you found some things for the cruise and On SALE! (My favorite way to buy!)

Alice has finished now, and has 7 weeks off, Stephen has two days Mon and Tuesday then is off, now this time next year, on Sunday 18th we get on our Baltic cruise for 12 nights, so if everything is equal Alice will not miss school and Stephen will loos two days, but that includes his fairwell party as he will be leaving for senior school.

WOW !! I bet the kids are SOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY about their long holiday !!!

( Any homework to deal with during Summer ?? Can't forget I'm a teacher !!!!)

Marco and I would love to take an excursion with your family ... Unfortunately , we are "walking-sightseeing" people ... and we like better to "explore" countryside, mountains, monuments,arts and crafts ...

We received devastating news on the weekend.
One of our twins was diagnosed with a small brain tumor and is scheduled for surgery in the next couple of days.
If all goes well ( the doctors are quite optimistic ), there is a period of recovery of several weeks.
Obviously, we are going to have to cancel all our vacation plans including the Disney cruise that we dreamed of for so long.
Does anyone know if I can postpone the cruise with Disney or do I have to cancel and claim on my insurance ?
JEN: PM your address and I'll send you $$ for the lanyards, at least we can use them for a future trip.

To everyone, please give your loved ones a huge hug and be grateful for good health and , send us all the pixie dust and prayers you can spare.

One of our twins was diagnosed with a small brain tumor and is scheduled for surgery in the next couple of days.
If all goes well ( the doctors are quite optimistic ), there is a period of recovery of several weeks.
Obviously, we are going to have to cancel all our vacation plans including the Disney cruise that we dreamed of for so long.
Does anyone know if I can postpone the cruise with Disney or do I have to cancel and claim on my insurance ?
JEN: PM your address and I'll send you $$ for the lanyards, at least we can use them for a future trip.

To everyone, please give your loved ones a huge hug and be grateful for good health and , send us all the pixie dust and prayers you can spare.

Hello Rick!

We are not doing the Baths but I have read really good descriptions of how to do it on your own on the Cruise Critic website. If we would have done the Baths, we would have done it on our own using the detailed instructions from that site.

We currently have an all-day day sail booked and are going to the Jost Van D*** area with some stops for swimming, snorkeling and enjoying the beaches.

I am doing ''The Baths'' on the DCL trip to Virgin gorda, as it involves boats etc I prefer them to handle,I have read other peoples trip reports and you marginally get a bit more time, but my trip ends at 11.45am so after lunch plan to walk into the town of Road Town or the craft village.

Thanks Guys, I like the security of the Disney excursion, but would like a little more time. I will check out the cuise critic web site and then decide. Rick
