I looked at you signature and realized that we were on your double dip cruise in 2006 (and so was Ed, and Anna! Did I miss anyone else??). So I went back and read your trip report and - hey, that big bald head that you can see in the picture on page 4 of your trip report (pirate night, wearing a pirate head scarf) is Sean!! and yup, that's the back of my head next to him.

Here's to a reunion cruise for some of us!!!

LOL - what a riot! I remember Ed was (I think he is in the background of one of my family pics!). Andrew was too -weren't you Andrew??? We had Palo together with a DIS group.

um...a very pale lavender...I think...

We have some hideous wallpaper in the guest bathroom that I've been meaning to take down since we moved here 9 years ago. I want to put up white 'beaded board' (sp?); so we'll try the lavender...hey, it's free!

I remember being a tween when Elvis died and thinking that he was an old man. Gosh, I think he was 40 or so. And now Michael Jackson gone at 50 ...OMG, when did MJ get to be 50?? That really hits home. He was such a part of the songs we grew up with, from the Jackson 5 to Thriller (okay, that's directed to those of us who are 40 something...Looking at some of the member pages from Jen's site I know that there are others who are considerably younger...). I even remember an animated Saturday morning cartoon with the Jackson 5 and "Ben', the rat. Your comment about his life the last 20 years or so was exactly right.

TORTOLA-DCL TRIPS, CHECK IF YOU ARE DOING THE BATHS

I just got a call from DCL saying they are cancelling their Day at the Baths Excursion for Tortola and replacing it with the Tour of the Virgin Gorda. Has anyone done this tour or gone to the Baths on your own? Any suggestions on whether I should take this excursion or do it on my own would be greatly appreciated. Also, do I need to prebook with a tour operator to do it on my own. Thank you for any help!

I am sorry you had a rough day at work! I hope that you have some nice plans for a relaxing weekend!

You will have to check out our website today!!! I found an old tape from our video player and found some footage of when the kids were really young at WDW...I uploaded it to our site...look under the JUST FOR FUN! It is not so exciting, it is just kind of funny because the kids are SO young in it!

I am also waiting on our weekly update...It is funny how we all come to rely on that little bit of pleasure on our Fridays!

Find some to to relax a little this weekend!

TORTOLA-DCL TRIPS, CHECK IF YOU ARE DOING THE BATHS



I notice mine has gone from my reservation today, no contact from DCL.

That is a popular excursion for them to cancel! Hopefully there is some good reason why they are doing it.

I know a lot of people do that excursion on their own so hopefully if someone really wants to still see the Baths, they can go on their own.

The Virgin Gorda trip is still running and includes the baths seems they dropped the 'food' part??? maybe issues? apart from that they were nearly the same. Slightly shorter and cheaper, ( no food) and two tours i have rebooked on the early 7.45am one.

So this week I have swapped both of my island shore trips and saved some $

Andrew--Did you change to the Island tour on St. Thomas instead of the butterfly/mt tops? I am thinking of doing that as well. By the time our crusie gets here I might have chaned most of my excursions.

I heard that it's better to do the parasailing in morning instead of the afternoon, in case of wind or storms. Does anyone know which is better?

Yes I was on the August 2006 CC Double dip

Yes swapped to the St Thomas Island Tour.

• Day 5 - St. Thomas - Wednesday, August 19, 2009 St. Thomas Island Tour Start: 9:00AM End: 11:30AM.
• Day 6 - At Sea - Thursday, August 20, 2009 Palo Dinner Start:6:00PM.
• Day 7 - Castaway Cay - Friday, August 21, 2009, Floats bikes etc.

Now I can slip that noose off my neck, turn off the car running in the garage, turn off the gas from the stove, and put all the knives back in the drawer.

It's raining again....
Actually, pouring, thundering and lightening. So much for going to the carnival tonight. We may go see Transformers instead. We're all busting to see it. DH just looked up weather.com and we have rain until next Thursday Oh wait, it just started to hail

Mind you, we live in Connecticut not Seattle.

I got my package today and I'm not telling what's in it

Andrew- DCL just called me about the Baths excursion being cancelled. I changed it to the one you are on.

It's been very hot here today (100) and now we are experiencing a major thunderstorm with some thunder and lightning. I don't think it will last long though.
