HI All!

I have posted a few times previously looking for any other single parents going on this cruise, but didn't have any responses. I am really looking for people to dine with at Palo. Will the Dis-ers be planning to have a dinner, brunch or tea together? I will dine up there alone if I have to, but would much rather have some conversation. I know I cannot possibly be the only single parent on this ship thinking the same thing!

Also, are there any other DIS meets going on? I am getting very excited now LOL! By the way I will have DS who will be 4 months shy of 13th birthday on the cruise.

Looking forward to getting responses!

Marie -

My SIL who will be cruising with us is a single parent. It will be her with her 2 kids (DS12, DD10). We were going to do a brunch with me, DH and SIL...you are more than welcome to join us if we can figure out how to do the reservation.

If you visit our cruise web site, you can see the DIS meets that are being planned. They include a meet at the sail away party, meeting for ice cream on at sea days and possibly seeing if we can arrange a tasting party for our group!

We are really excited to get to meet everyone!
Jen

You will need to link yuor ressies before the booknig date contact TA or DCL

Happy Easter everyone!
I got my info packet a few weeks ago as well! I'm getting excited. This is only my 2nd DCL cruise and first 7 day cruise. The other one was the land/sea (4 night)and it was fun! I've been reading the cruise boards trying to make sure I know what things to do, excursions, etc. I'm leaning towards the Baths @ Tortola, maybe parasailing on CC...any other suggestions or ideas would be helpful. Jen's site is good. Does anyone know the weight requirements and/or age for parasailing. MY DS is 8 and I don't know if he would like it but thought he and I could go together or maybe I will go alone. My Dh won't do it.
Thanks!
Elena

Hi I do not know about Para-sailing as I am scared of heights!! But its 90-375 ibs thats 40-170kg for us,

The Baths look fantastic and everyone says you should go there, St Thomas is the problem now, as the main excursions I wanted to do has been canceled, look at the website two have gone from early June inc the Island tour.

I have been to ST before, so we might just go shopping instead , but my Credit card will take a hit from the ladies!

If you like beaches ,Meagan's bay is the place to be either with DCL or you can do it yourself by taxi.

If you havent doen it the Singrays at CC are fantastic, book as early as possible as the water gets cloudy.

So, Ed, I should go for the parasailing? Do they take pics for you cause I would definitely want proof that I did it and i most likely will be alone.

Happy Easter Everyone! I just got home from my sisters - hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend.

Ed - Great Photo! I bet it was fun!

It is starting to get close enough for everyone to really start planning their excursions. I can't wait until we all start booking and seeing who is doing what. We are excited to be doing a private catamaran in Tortola.

As for St. Thomas, I just want a beach that I can hang out on. For those of you who have been there, do you recommend one beach over another?

Castaway Cay is easy for our family...no excursion...simply hanging out and enjoying the island!

Bev - There were many things that were out of date. I even called Disney and told them that they should not send it out because of wrong information. I know it is not a huge deal but having the wrong ages for the stack is a big deal for DD.

It is exciting getting mail from Disney though and you are right...getting this means we are getting close

They don't but you can ask one of the other people on board to snap pictures of you, I took a disposable camera up in the air with me, and one of my cruise mates snapped pictures from the boat

I loved it, never did anything like this before, and not sure if I will again or not, due to my knees, but it was great.

Very cool! I love the pics. Did you take a nice camera on board that the people used to take your pics or were they taken with a disposable camera. I think I will definitely have to do this. I will take a disposable in the air with me. How long do you stay up in the air?
