WOW !! I guess SSR is just beautiful !! So peaceful !!

Is your first staying ovethere ?

We have never stayed at SSR - but we LOVED it when it was " The Disney Institute" !!!! We had a cozy studio ground floor - with little rabbits and cuuute "Chip & Dale" coming each morning on our lawn for breakfast !! At the time The Institute used to sell food for our "animal-friends" !!
The classes held by the Institute were very well done , still fun !!!!

I could not watch the whole video ... BUT
if your lovely spouse is anything like me ... I guess the message is re to Christmas !!!!

I mean I HATE it when people gift me with a new toaster or the last washing machine or whatever re housework !!!!
I like to get anything from ONE SINGLE ROSE to a dinner our to a posh restaurant to that loooooong dreamed for trip to Hawaii ( which I got past August )...
Most women also love jewelry ...

We did get a good deal. We have to fly out of White Plains NY. But it is not that far for us and we get to go on JetBlue.......

We were going to go to WDW before the cruise like we usually do but hoping that if we do it after the cruise this time then we will not be as depressed when it is time to go home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good you got a good deal, I read Orlando Airport traffic was down 20% in October so hopfully than means prices down.

Well that would seem to reason since park attendance is down 30% according to our friend who is an accountant for Disney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, that ties in with the messages coming to me, I herd/ read they are considering closing a Value resort and one moderate resort for a few months from January to before Easter, Move bookings at thoose places to other resorts.

Our friend told us that is why they are offering the buy 4 get three free nights at WDW....

Seems the terrible economy is having an effect even on WDW and DCL.. But no great offers coming from DCL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys,

Just checking in on this thread. I am hoping that once Christmas is over the time will fly by and it will soon be time for our trip!

So I have been reading the thread about customs in St Thomas, I knew we have to do that early in the morning but how early is early?! Also do they still make all non US citizens get up really early for customs on the last day - I thought for some reason I had heard that they had changed how they handled that.

I need to prepare myself as I am NOT a morning person!!! DH will have no trouble but I will not find it so easy!!

On our last cruise we were supposed to get up early for St. Thomas but we never went to St. Thomas since we had a hurricane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree... What will make it worse for Disney, is the lack of Brits in 09, as well as the economy the exchange rate $/£ has fallen 30%, so Brits are not booking USA now, the bookings are off a cliff.
Being the second highest number of visitors to WDW and Orlando after USA citizens, they will notice this.
Our DIsney tickets have already risen considerablly.

Its done at 6am in WDW theater, but reporting time, is deck by deck and very fast indeed, I wouldnt worry its well organised. Eeveryone is included.

I understand every non USA cruiser is now included and on these cruises your passports are not taken and you do not need to report to immigration at 6am.

Only psecial cruises such as my last one the Panama do they have immigration check, then it was 'All' Non USA Citizens, Don Ducky Williams was just in front of us-Canadian.
