Hi everyone!!:grouphug: I hope you are all doing well! I've got some "ketchup"ing to do in a big way! I miss you guys! Life's been a little crazy on my end but it's all good. My DSis and her family are coming in tonight for the weekend. Tomorrow we are going to an amusement park, then Saturday back home to visit family. And I can't believe the 4th of July is next week! :scared1: Normally we have plans on the 4th and that's it. This year we have plans each day from the 3rd to the 6th, with the 6th being the day we'll celebrate Gwynne's 6th birthday! Summer has hit full force!

Take care!!!

ahhhhh... the week is now more than half over!! :thumbsup2

Hey Harry, what's the latest on the work front? Have you found a replacement? We were very fortunate this year to hire a college intern. But some days that poor guy probably doesn't know what hit him, having to work with a bunch of people like me. :rotfl: Actually he is starting to warm up to us and gets his insults in regularly. :rotfl2: Work has been so busy, so it's nice to have the extra help.

Hi all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only a few more days till we go to WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Kristin-

That's great!!! I am so sorry I didn't call you Sunday!!! What day do you leave? Are things going better now? I hope you aren't as stressed out.

I know VERY TRUE!!!!!!!!!!! It just is going to now cost us a ton more... We booked 6 one way tickets for $1,300.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Wow, I'm glad you got it squared away!! Our flights for our last cruise got canceled as well but fortunately it worked out better because we got better flights in the long run. I think as soon as this August hits we all best be finding flights for next Aug. It's crazy what's going on with the airlines.

Doing Ok, Just been a busy couple of days.

Took the family to our Town pool on Saturday, calling it a pool is under selling it.

It was Once an elegant private estate, then an exclusive country club for the likes of Rockefeller, Roosevelt and F. Scott Fitzgerald,

The town purchase Longshore in 1960, the New York Times on July 25, 10=960 wrote. Westport's residents own Luxurious Country club.

The site still has an 18 hole Golf Course, two swimming pool, tennis courts, boating marina, The Inn at Longshore for fine dinning and receptions.

Sunday went into NYC to see The Little Mermaid and a trip to the American Girl store and lunch an Dinner in the city. All this as an early birthday present for Cailtin, she turns 11 on Thursday.

For me, work yesterday and then a 2 hrs diabetes education class. At get home and the two of our production servers were down.:scared1:

Well got them back up and running and then time of bed. :rotfl:

Ed-

I'm sorry to hear about the diabetes. Is this a new finding? Take care of yourself!!!!

I'll pass on the WDW portion (personal preference to stay clear of there during the summer months :rotfl: ), but if you wanted to drag me along for your Vero portion that'd be awesome!! :rotfl:

I'm drowning without an assistant right now.... I did find a replacement - she starts July 7. There's a light at the end of the tunnel!!

We should be fine as we are in a metropolitan area (although we can see hills from our street).

I saw some of your pages on the scrapbook site, they are cool.

BTW - I finished the lunchbag scrapbooks that I was making. They turned out cute (but I forgot to take pictures!!!). We had a photo of the kids and some of them wrote a little "thank you" to the teachers.

I had a question for you though Nikki - what type of glue do you use / recommend for scrapbooking. I was using the Avery Permanent Glue Sticks (the ones from Costco!) but they didn't seem to stick 100% of the time. I then tried something else that said 'for scrapbooks' but it crinkled up the paper. I made the scrapbooks work, but certainly think there was room for improvement!

Thanks for the compliments on my pages!! I use creative memories tape runners- have been using them for 13 years, and my pictures in my books from that long ago are still sticking. I have also used Tombo adhesives- when I run out of creative memories tape runners. Those lunchbag scrapbooks are cute, I have seen some pics of them on here.

I want to go!!! I have heard it is fun. Not sure what our plans are for prior to the cruise next year, might try and get some time at our home in Kissimmee and rather than "do Disney" or another park, spend time exploring the resorts, the boardwalk and some of the restaurants I have yet to try. Although that may have to be after the cruise, because we usually have it booked through the middle of August.

Also I want to go to the Wilderness Lodge restaurant (can't remember the name at the mo!) that is supposed to be great fun for the kids. Have been told to ask for ketchup or a straw!

-Kay

Whispering Canyon- we ate there with extended family a few years ago on our first trip to WDW, we loved the food and atmosphere. The skillet was so good!!!
