Hi Kristin! Have you heard anything about your parents yet? Are you making the trip over for the funeral? You shouldn't feel obligated to, especially since they wouldn't do the same for you.

They are having a GREAT trip right now. Then hoping when they come home we will know some more when they see their Dr's next week on Thursday..

Well its been a trying two weeks, the team I am on will be short a person, there is 3 of us. I am the longest member of the group, the second longest is taking another position in the company, The Jr member and I will need to pick up his workload, and on call schedule.

With the hiring freeze in place it look like this will be a long term shortage for our group.

Add to this, I got my latest A1C test and my numbers are up.
The Dr has changed my medicine. Time to get back to watching what I eat. Now instead of $10 a month, my medicine bill is up to $100

add that to the rising cost of food, gas and what it was going to cost to board our pets during our vacation, it looks like I will need to cancel our summer vacation plans this year.

Sorry all but I had to vent.

Gosh, Ed - I'm really sorry to hear that! It's a horribly tough time at the moment but I hope you can take some kind of summer break. More importantly, please look after yourself...

I know we've discussed this before BUT what are your tentative plans for either side of the cruise??? I'm thinking of forgoing WDW on this trip and staying at RPR at Universal for a few days prior to cruising...

My oldest DD has done DLRP withme twice but I want to take her to WDW and I know if we go all the way to Florida I will be so sad if we didn't do disney (this will only be our second Florida trip though) so our current thinking is to go for 5 nights either side of the cruise - pay cash for a relatively inexpensive hotel before and then try to rent DVC points for the post cruise stay.

If anyone knows someone who might be interested in renting some of their points in Aug 09 let me know!

Thanks guys - I still need to juggle some numbers but am really interested in renting some DVC points - it is on my "one day" list to join DVC but the time isn't right for us at the moment. Keep me updated if you decide to rent. If my numbers come out ok I might possibly do a DVC stay before and after the cruise but I need to work out where we are with some of our other ££ committments!

Well that's good. I know the gas for our trip to Atlanta/Auburn next week is gonna be so high. I told DH at least we had a free place to stay- or we probably wouldn't be going.

I know they sent home today a letter with a self-portrait that the kids drew of themselves saying how much they've grown, etc... I started crying soo sad. They grow up soo very FAST!!!!!!!!!!! I can not believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
