Relaxing?! No way.

Tim's swim meet had me up at 6:00AM this AM!

After some relaxing time in the pool I was "informed" I was going to movies this afternoon. Very crowded when it's 95 degrees outside!!

What did you go see? Steve took Jordan and my nephew to see Kung Fu Panda last night, while I went to see Sex in the City. He said thne movie was really funny, and the kids loved it.

:rotfl: I'm sitting here watching DD4 nap while DW and DD9 hit the graduation party for a brief time. WHen they return we are off to a drive in. Does anyone else still have drive ins around them? We have 2 (I think that's all) in the region and we haven't been to it for years...but we are heading off to see Kung Fu Panda with two other families tonight. Should be fun. Hope I stay awake! :lmao:

Jeff-

That sounds like fun, especially with other families. LMK how Kung Fu Panda is. The kids have already asked to go see it tomorrow. I haven't seen any reviews or previews.

We have a couple of drive-ins here too but they are almost as expensive as a movie theater so we quit going. They are good if you stay for all 3 movies though, but by the end of the first one, we are done.

Oh good. I think that's what we'll do tomorrow then.

Yeah Harry, we were just wearing coats and still had our heat on. This heat is ridiculous. It's not supposed to be this hot yet! We had rain all day today which has just made the humidity worse.

Hope everyone stayed cool today. Had a nice day with drinks out by the pool. Feel like we ate and drank way to much today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice Kristin! Happy early anniversary! So now we'll be drinking, bouncing, swimming, and eating ice cream? You have the cool house!

Yup,, THanks it is not really till Wed. But really cool gift. When are you coming for a visit??!!!!!!!! Oh, wait I thought you all would be here by now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kung Fu Panda.... it was okay - made me laugh a couple of times, but honestly I felt like nodding off a few times....

Hey Harry. Did you swim today>????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've done the coach experience on that train before..... perhaps it's just me - but I hated it. The cars were divided by "families" and, shall we say... "silver hairs". The family car was like the circus train! Then at night... the "seniors" just roamed around - that train door.... opening... shutting...opening... shutting... The bathrooms smelled by the next morning... ugggghhh BUT.... we arrived on time and our car was with us when we got there - I guess the major benefit of the Auto Train.

Perhaps a bunch of us may end up on the same train in August 2009?!?! Though, at this point, we're holding out hope for "reasonable" air fare!

The coach experience sounds "fun" Harry!! LOL I hope to get some kind of sleeping car. It would be nice if a bunch of us were going home on the autotrain.

Just checked and its 91 degress with a dew point of 72 outside here.
Glad I started the AC this morning. The living room and bedrooms are comftable. but since the it is not central air the kitchen is warm.

We hit 96 today, and humidity was 84. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 99degrees and I have a birthday party at a park, no not a waterpark:scared1: . I'm not looking foward to that!!

Are we still "allowed" to post our non-cruise, family stories?!? ;)

Jake's soccer season is finally over. It was quite a year. Undefeated and a championship in the fall.... a single loss over the winter.... and a so-so spring season. As an individual player he came along quite well this year. In the spring he played with 10 & 11 year olds so it was tough, but he hung in there. There was one team that beat us 3x.... they were able to get the ball over his head when he was in goal (7 foot goal, 4.5 foot Jake!)... we played them in our final game this week & they came in undefeated. Jake usually plays one half in goal and the other on the field (he's too young to get stuck in goal yet, but he's headed in that direction - plus, he's a good goal scorer....) For this last game our strategy was simple.... Jake would play the entire game in goal.... we would mark their best player... and try to get up early... It worked pretty well.... we got up 3-0 and then 4-1.... with about 3 minutes left though Jake let a soft one get past him and then they sailed another over his head.... In the last minute he came up HUGE... two point blank saves and then he blasted a kick into their end which effectively killed the remaining time....

Seven weeks until soccer camp..... :)
