TY for the link, I went online and got a "guesstimation" using Aug 08 and it was 881 for four R/T.

Like I said before we would much rather fly down but the Auto Train is a good back up for us.

The secret to the autotrain and getting a good rate is to book early, for Aug 08 I would have book late Jan or early Feb for the best rates

Start checking in Nov or Dec to see if they post rates early, I think the 6 month point is when they come out but I could be wrong.

I can not tell you how coach feels, as we only have done the sleeper units. They are a little tight, but for one night not too bad.

Sounds good, since Abby will be doing all of the 24+ hours of driving, I will bring a cooler of uhhh... "cold beverages", yeah that's it, and since Abby is the desinated driver, we can be the designated drinkers. Sounds good, right guys??

Good morning
Today is swim team time trials for DD9 followed by a soccer game. Then both she and DD4 have separate birthday parties to attend rounded out by a graduation party tonight. Uh...I thought weekends were supposed to be relaxing.

Relaxing?! No way.

Tim's swim meet had me up at 6:00AM this AM!

After some relaxing time in the pool I was "informed" I was going to movies this afternoon. Very crowded when it's 95 degrees outside!!

Just checked and its 91 degress with a dew point of 72 outside here.
Glad I started the AC this morning. The living room and bedrooms are comftable. but since the it is not central air the kitchen is warm.

We all fall asleep sitting up at night watching TV, I thought we'd be fine....LMAO

It was like an extra 1000 bucks for a "sleeper".

I've done the coach experience on that train before..... perhaps it's just me - but I hated it. The cars were divided by "families" and, shall we say... "silver hairs". The family car was like the circus train! Then at night... the "seniors" just roamed around - that train door.... opening... shutting...opening... shutting... The bathrooms smelled by the next morning... ugggghhh BUT.... we arrived on time and our car was with us when we got there - I guess the major benefit of the Auto Train.

Perhaps a bunch of us may end up on the same train in August 2009?!?! Though, at this point, we're holding out hope for "reasonable" air fare!

I have to give myself a big fat DOH (is there a smilie smacking itself on the forehead?) about shoes and the running segments on the Wii Fit! I just got done with it and the running is so much easier with shoes on. Who'd have thunk it? Yeah, I AM blonde!

If my choice was coach or having to drive , I would then take the driving,
I only do the autotrain by getting a sleeping unit.

We have one right up the road from us about 3 miles away. I think PA has few more than normal. My "meet" buddy from last years cruise was from AZ and she had one also but said they only got to enjoy it in sping or fall cause of the heat. We went last weekend to see Indiana Jones .
