We have decided we will probably go again in May in the near future!!! :goodvibes

Sophie and I had already tried (and loved) 'WDW in May' when we visited back in 2005 but this was DH's first time - he agreed it was absolutely the best weather! Unfortunately, it just doesn't coincide with school vacation time hence we giving Easter 2009 a try... :rolleyes1

We went to Blizzard Beach and it was fun..The kids really really enjoyed it........They are not the BEST swimmers but they had FUN!!!!!!!! You should do Blizzad Beach.. Let me know if you want to do it. I think DH'S company is still offering discounted tickets for both BB Or TL. I bought the tickets from them and thought they were just for BB, but when they arrived they were good at either water park!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will definately let you know, we are almost positive we are doing a water park, and my DH wanted to do Blizzard Beach, so I'm glad you recommend it. We would love to get a discount.:goodvibes

I wish we had Jordan's school calendar, but it won't be out until late June/July. She is going to go to a private school, so it is different from the county schools. This will be her first year in school not daycare, so we're not sure about the protocol of taking them out, not that it will matter too much, I would probably do it anyway.:goodvibes

Harry
What can I say. Flyers ran into a buzzsaw. The husband of the dance school owner was monitoring the game and the score was always available. I'm not sure how much trouble he might be in!
Go Pens!

jeff

They exited in true Philadelphia fashion....

Hello everyone!

We had an absolutely fantastic time in WDW and on the first Double Dip of 2008! VWL was beautiful - suffice to say, I now have a new fave resort! We also had a lot of fun surprising Sophie - firstly with the arrival of her father and secondly with the Roy O Disney suite! She responded to both with suitably shrill screams - I especially apologise to anyone who was sitting near us in Artist's Point when DH and I spilled the cruise beans!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: At some point I'll get around to writing a trip report but I've managed to pick up a cold/flu bug on the return flight so feel yukky at the moment... :sad2:

Sadly, I am popping in not only to say "hi" but also "goodbye!" Earlier this year, DH was asked to chair a global conference in August 2008 but refused due to our fixed vacation plans. He's now been asked to do it in August 2009 and can't turn the offer down a second time so we're having to cancel our trip. I am very disappointed as it means I won't meet up with you guys but I've learnt to be philosophical about these things so I'll just wish you all a great cruise - it'll be here before you know it... :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Well Karen, I am disappointed that you won't be joining us....chatting with you has been quite an experience! :rotfl: Hope to catch up to you again! Take a few bounces on 'ol trampoline for all of us, will ya?!

Good morning all!! We finally have a full staff again in my department at work. It's been almost 4 months!

That's good news Nikki! We are quite short-staffed due to downsizing because of the slow business. We need more people, and we are getting in to our busy season!!!

Karen

I'm so upset, I am in a photopass share, so we took alot of pictures during our trip, and they didn't show on the site. Of course some did, but I had pictures in front of the castle, and the holding Tink one- not there, in front of Tree of Life- not there, in front of the ball- not there- I have my own of that, we also took a bunch of character shots with Tigger, Pooh, Stitch, also ones in the rose garden. I just didn't take alot at MK- because I was relying on the photopass.:sad2: You guys know I like my pictures, just a little dissapointed. I took probably 600- only kept 350, that's not alot for me. LOL I did send an email to the photopass people, and you can give descriptions of the people, the park, and area, and they will look for them, so we'll see if they pop up. I have done that before, but it was only about 3 pictures, this time it's probably close to 30 pictures. We'll see.

Hello!

Just passing through - spent the weekend attending a girl scouts sleep over at the Santa Barbara Zoo. My spouse and the older daughter attended while I shot pix and left to tend to the younger one over nite. She was too young to stay over.

Here are some pix:

At the right are the 3 counselors who led the sleepover.

The pictures above do not convey the brilliant beauty of the pink sky at sunset over the ocean. The sensation was simply perfect for a nite out camping.

That looks like fun- I'm sure your daughter had a good time, how old are your daughters?

The Brownie is 7 and the Daisey is 4. This sleep over was not intended for Brownies - but for some reason it was expanded to invite our age level of girls.

They had an incredibly memorable time at the Zoo. And I must say it was an interesting time watching as 1 of the girls was "catty" and said several things that were totallyinappropriate towards strangers. Two of the escorting moms in charge of the troop called her out to say her comments were absolutely inappropriate. My spouse also heard her say things that were inappropriate - however she is not a troop leader so did not directly intervene - except to alert the other troop moms as to the remarks.

Also, the various personalities and how they mixed were of interest to Alicia during the stay. Plus at 1AM Alicia had to make a potty run and ran into 2 skunks wandering the grounds. One of which "rushed her squeeling" all the way - which gave rise to Alicia sprinting offf at full speed away! What a hoot eh?! Overnite they did not sleep particularly well - as the little girls were slightly anxious with all the wild animals in their prescence - even though they were all secure in thier enclosures. But it was a true life adventure otherwise.

They also rode this cool train around the Zoo in addition to having several presentations on various animals. Plus in the morning they hand fed a girraffe, and prepared scented treats for a panther and some other animals. The various treat were then placed in the animals' enclosures before they were released into them. Then they watched how the animals behaved with thier treats. Oh yeah... and in the morning they had a nice breakfast buffett with a bit more luxury then the average camper experiences. There was more - but these activities and diversions were the main things I recall them telling me about.

Aside from that - I thought it was so perfect a time from where I sat and watched.

After the zoo stay - I was on hand to pick them up. I had driven out in the morning with good friends who spent the morning through noon picnicing on the beach with us.
