Hello everyone!

We had an absolutely fantastic time in WDW and on the first Double Dip of 2008! VWL was beautiful - suffice to say, I now have a new fave resort! We also had a lot of fun surprising Sophie - firstly with the arrival of her father and secondly with the Roy O Disney suite! She responded to both with suitably shrill screams - I especially apologise to anyone who was sitting near us in Artist's Point when DH and I spilled the cruise beans!!! At some point I'll get around to writing a trip report but I've managed to pick up a cold/flu bug on the return flight so feel yukky at the moment...

Sadly, I am popping in not only to say "hi" but also "goodbye!" Earlier this year, DH was asked to chair a global conference in August 2008 but refused due to our fixed vacation plans. He's now been asked to do it in August 2009 and can't turn the offer down a second time so we're having to cancel our trip. I am very disappointed as it means I won't meet up with you guys but I've learnt to be philosophical about these things so I'll just wish you all a great cruise - it'll be here before you know it...

NO!!!! You can't go!!!! Oh, we'll certainly miss you! Is chairman of a global conference really a good enough excuse?! I mean, these opportunities are a dime a dozen! Seriously though, we will certainly miss you not being a part of this group.

So glad you had a wonderful vacation! Even though you aren't going in August 2009 you still have to share pictures of this trip with us and let us know about your trip report.

I hope you feel better soon too!! Congrats to DH. I imagine that is a huge honor (or pain in the @$$, whichever way he looks at it)

I wish we had Jordan's school calendar, but it won't be out until late June/July. She is going to go to a private school, so it is different from the county schools. This will be her first year in school not daycare, so we're not sure about the protocol of taking them out, not that it will matter too much, I would probably do it anyway.

Even though I will never pull my kids out of school again for vacation (Hayden and his ADD make it a huge struggle for him to get back into the swing of things) I would say to heck with what the school says and take her out! Gwynne had no problem whatsoever getting her work finished and caught up with the class when we got back. The family vacation years are short and precious!

I'm so upset, I am in a photopass share, so we took alot of pictures during our trip, and they didn't show on the site. Of course some did, but I had pictures in front of the castle, and the holding Tink one- not there, in front of Tree of Life- not there, in front of the ball- not there- I have my own of that, we also took a bunch of character shots with Tigger, Pooh, Stitch, also ones in the rose garden. I just didn't take alot at MK- because I was relying on the photopass. You guys know I like my pictures, just a little dissapointed. I took probably 600- only kept 350, that's not alot for me. LOL I did send an email to the photopass people, and you can give descriptions of the people, the park, and area, and they will look for them, so we'll see if they pop up. I have done that before, but it was only about 3 pictures, this time it's probably close to 30 pictures. We'll see.

That stinks Nikki. I hope they can find them!

Is anyone here an expert on resumes?! A friend called me yesterday about a position at her company that she wants me to apply for. She already told the President and CFO about me. I'm not entirely sure I'm the right person for the job because it has requirements and qualifications I have not personally done before but am somewhat familiar with. I am not technically looking for a new job but I'd be stupid to not check it out! I just haven't had to update/rewrite my resume for 6 years, so I'm out of the loop on these things.

Ooh, now there's a thought, Kay! I'll have to see what I can do...

I shan't be cancelling the cruise portion for quite a while anyway as I want to transfer the booking to a 2010 sailing - don't want to lose that flippin' deposit...

Thanks for the offer Kristin! After I have it completed do you mind if I send you a copy so he can critique it? I just received the job posting this morning so I need to change my resume and cover letter up a bit first. Also a friend/old manager of mine is helping me with some changes. But I'm not sure about one thing she has had me change, which Bruce can probably give me an idea on.

I want to hear all about it. It's on my short list of must haves. Too much to do with too little time. Our flight leaves at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow and we are so not ready. But it will be all good because we'll be at WDW. I'll post some photos when we return. jeff
