Ticket Increase

I wonder if the increasing prices, with decreased services, will influence people who stay a day or two pre/post-cruise?

I think we will always stay at least 2 days before, because we're already down there, and we won't want to waste money for gas or airfare for just the week- when we could do more. I have tried to convince DH that we should stay 2 weeks and then do the cruise next summer- but it isn't working.:confused3 We'll see.;)

I think the increased ticket prices, airfare, hotel costs etc will certainly change the way people vacation to WDW.

People will look at ways to get more from their vacation dollars, perhaps driving instead of flying or staying offsite instead of onsite. Staying longer to get the cheaper daily rate. Even visiting other parks (gosh, shock, horror) because they are cheaper.

We haven't done WDW since Easter 07, even though we were in FL in January. We already had 2 year passes for Universal (2 years for the price of one) and we just used them before they expired. Universal usually have some great ticket deals.

I will admit I am getting my Disney fix this month though, with a trip to DL - just got the entry tickets the day before their price increase :-)

It was def. more of a drinking meeting...LOL!!!!!!!!!!

Well, you have got to do what is best for you!! Did she email you back??

I'm around this weekend if you want to chat!! Did you get my email??!!

Kristin-

Yeah, PTO president responded and seemed to understand, but really, what can she do? It's not a paid position! Pathetically though, out of the 800+ parents in the school, it's like pulling teeth to get 4 positions filled.

Yes I did get your e-mail! :) I'll get around to responding before too long! I'm sorry it takes me so long!

The way I read it, as long as you change the date before the penalty period you shouldn't have a problem changing to another date

I know what you mean - and I can get a FL resident rate which saves $100 per ticket. Its expensive - even with the discount. Its $1500 for the 4 of us :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Funny thing is I can't get a CA resident rate for DL as they only allow special rates for Southern California residents :-(

Universal offer a much better annual pass deal. I know, I know, but its true!

I know this year I made out renewing the annual passes since I had two gift cards from our recent DVC add-ons so I used them and with my Visa rewards cards I had to pay about $150.00 so that was not to bad....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We bought 6 day non expiration tickets, we used 4 days in May so we have enough for next years pre cruise stay- we are doing 2 parks. We just have to get our waterpark tickets. But we are buying 10 day non expiration tickets next time- we don't go enough for the annual passes. (I wish we did, though)
