She's good, she spent the weekend with my in-laws, while me and Steve were at Ocean City, she had a great time!! And she is ready to start school.

I bet Jordon had FUN!!!!!! Did you have a nice weeekend??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well atleast there was low humidity and the sun was blocked. the sun was blocked here most of the day too. drink lots of water and try to stay cool with those 6 hours of training!!!!

I lost track of the number of water bottles (big 5 & 10 gallon jugs actually) that we went through today! Tomorrow the fire company will be coming to hose them all down!

That sounds like FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry it's just my way at looking at things

But I think its wrong to have kids or even adults training in this type of heat. :sad2:

I did, we had such a good time at the ocean!! How are the girls doing- are you gearing up for your cruise in October? Are you going to be on it during Halloween- I know there will be lots of activities going on that week.

Hi all
Has anyone made their hotel reservations for the night before the cruise yet? if so, where? We're leaning toward the Residence Inn or one of the other Marriott properties.
Anyone else planning a few days at WDW before the cruise? We're making reservations at SOG this week...

WOOOHOOO - one year, 10 days to goooooooooo!!!!!!:woohoo:

I think we will be staying at Radisson at the Port, they have the cruise parking package, and I think a free buffet breakfast for two, and a nice pool. We are staying at Disney the week before at one of the DVC resorts, then driving down on Friday- and staying the night there. I will be making reservations next month (DVC is 11 months out for our home resort). It's almost a year away!

Will make 11-month ressies for SSR in September. May change at the 7-month mark.... We'll head over to the port in the AM from WDW.

Barring a new ice age there really isn't an alternative to the climate we live in. With proper precautions taken anyone can adequately train with temps in the upper 80s to low 90s unless they have certain medical conditions.

To help guard against the heat and dehydration, we encourage the kids to drink fluids before, during, and after the training. Whether it’s extremely hot or not, we have them drink on a schedule (approximately every 15 to 20 minutes) because dehydration begins before they’re thirsty.

Harry, where do you think you're gonna change to? I think we will change to OKW- we were gonna do BWV but its less points to stay at OKW, so I think we will do that. We do want to try all of the DVC resorts eventually.:goodvibes

Out of the blue this afternoon our DVC guide called us.... haven't heard from her in a couple of years... just putting the bug about add-ons in our ears I suspect.... anyway, I was thinking back to one of the other thousands of posts we've had and I thought some others were also staying at SSR? It would be cool to perhaps have a pre-cruise get together, but I guess it really doesn't matter where we are all staying though, eh?! Not sure if we will try and switch or not - we'll see.

OKW is also the easiest to get in at 7 months so you should be good-to-go with that. We love OKW and prefer to stay there for longer stays because the units are larger and every once awhile we like to get "away from it all". We're booked there for our November trip, but are on a wait list for BWV (which is DW's favorite).

Did this group's 15,000th post go unnoticed?!? I'm shocked that it was overlooked?!? :rotfl:

How is everyone?

Thanks for the info about OKW!! The 1 bedrooms look huge, I think a couple people are staying at SSR. It would be cool to do a pre cruise meet- I would definately be interested in that also. I do want to stay at BWV- but we borrowed points from 2009 for this year- so we don't want to borrow from 2010 too- we are going to San Antonio in 2010- and we need all of our 160 for that. :goodvibes

P.S. I really want to add-on!!!!

Hmansure
We'll be at Shades of Green - although I'd like to drive over and see SSR. We live about 30 minutes from Saratoga Springs NY so it would be interesting to see how it compares to the real thing!! LOL.
Anyone else at Shades of Green out there???

No worries on the borrowing - it all evens up in end, right?! Are you trading out somewhere in San Antonio?
